I brought my cat here for an emergency visit, as he was lethargic and not eating…read more The doctor did bloodwork and thought my cat had either pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer. He never did an x ray (told me it would be inconclusive). He should have taken an x Ray first, then taken bloodwork if necessary. The blood they drew to be sent to a lab was deemed inviable because it wasn't stored properly (either their fault or the labs, either way, pretty shady), so I had to bring my cat in two days later for more bloodwork. The vet techs didn't clean or bandage the area where they drew blood; when I got home I discovered my cat's belly and leg covered in blood. When I took my cat to our vet at home, the doctor was shocked at the dosage of steroids Carrabassett Vet had him on. He was also surprised that no x ray was taken. He took a x ray and five minutes later told me my cat had an extremely enlarged heart and couldn't see my cat's organs, concluding that he was probably riddled with cancer. Had Carrabassett Veterinary bothered to take an x ray, I would have had my cat euthanized right then, instead of having him in pain for an extra week. I put my cat down a week after taking him to Carrabassett Veterinary. And by the way, I still haven't received his lab results-TWO WEEKS after they took blood. I sent an email to them yesterday morning and never received any response. I write this review so no pet or pet owner has to go through what my cat and I did.

Angie did a wonderful job at showing us a lot of great training activities we can do at home. She also explained her methods thoroughly and gave us tips on what commands are appropriate for different behaviors. I arrived 12 minutes late to a 1-hour appointment after getting lost on the backroads of Woodland…read more Upon arrival, I found a text on my phone from 11:10 (two minutes prior) that my appointment was cancelled because I was 10 minutes late and that I would have to pay double ($120) to reschedule. At 11:12, I texted Olivia and called her twice; both calls were hung up on without answering. She proceeded to turn the music up and hide in her garage (?) while pretending that I was not in her driveway. Eventually she texted me back that my appointment was now more than halfway over; evidently, she had slotted me for a half hour appointment after confirming via email that I had a one-hour appointment. On the drive back to Presque Isle I picked up some pet clippers ($25) and have successfully shaved my cat's butt in ten minutes flat. It was much easier than I expected and I suggest others do the same before attempting to cooperate with this person. In summary, some tips: - Practice finding the place in advance of your appointment (it is a brown trailer with an RV/shack out front and a dirt driveway on the left deep down the New Sweden Road) - Triple check the duration of your appointment as there's a good possibility you aren't booked for the timeslot that was confirmed by Olivia - Don't bother calling, you won't get an answer - If you are 600 seconds late, your hour is forfeit and you will pay double if you are desperate enough for a second attempt at the "service" - There's more than one way to shave a cat

Moki is 11 now and suffers from arthritis, but still loves to be super active and get out and play. I was away out of town for one long weekend with my boyfriend and we asked Brandy to take Moki for a hilly hike and I couldn't have asked for better care. Brandy was meticulous making sure she had all of Moki's essentials before they left. She put together a little care package with water, snacks, poop bags, leash and of course Moki's favorite ball. Brandy was also very careful about what type of meds Moki might need in case she was sore when she came back and we discussed Moki's favorite way to take her meds too. You could really tell Brandy had lots of prior experience as a Vet Tech the way she was so systematic about it all. However, the special bond Brandy formed with my dog after only meeting her for such a short while before we had to leave and go out of town was really the most impressive thing of all. Brandy really loves animals and she has a special way about her that makes them respond very positively to her too. I couldn't believe how attached Moki was to Brandy when we got back and also how good Moki looked with no limping or soreness even though they had gone for a pretty long hard hike together, as per my request. Brandy said that she had even given Moki a little mini doggy massage on her back legs, which was wonderful. Moki seemed so happy that she had gotten to get out still even though Mom and Dad had to go away for the weekend. Brandy provided exactly the type of service I am looking for in a pet sitter. I wouldn't want to give anything less to our family's fuzzy best friend.
