This place is genius. Your dogs can run and play with other dogs and you can have a beer and a smash burger. Lee owns the place and he's amazing. He has one rule. The Bark Park has quickly become our favorite hangout spot in Florence! We love being able to bring our two dogs to run around and play off-leash, while enjoying a few delicious local brews ourselves. You'll want to plan to spend a little extra time filling out forms the first time you visit - but you can always make things easier on yourself (and on the staff) by signing their waivers via their website, and by emailing them your pet's vet records. I appreciate them being so thorough - we love our dogs and want them to be safe, no matter where they are! Their "Pour-It-Yourself" tap wall is sooo creative and fun. I love the way they have this set up - so their "Bark Rangers" can spend less time pouring drinks, and more time hanging out with the pups. You connect your debit/credit card to one of their tap cards, and then just use that throughout your visit. They even have handy drop-boxes for you to use on your way out, so you don't have to bother with the tedious "closing out" process. We've tried several of their rotating brews at this point - but our favorite is actually the Bark-veza, which was specially made for the Bark Park! We also have to shout out the GM, Amanda. During both of our visits, she's been extra attentive to our overly excited puppy, and even offered us some excellent training advice for our older, more anxious/reserved dog as well. We've purchased day passes for our last two visits ($10/dog), but we're seriously considering a monthly membership for both of our pups in the New Year. We have been a member since they opened & love it! Great space to grab a beer, burger, and let your dog play. In the warmer months they have multiple weekly event (live music, trivia, cornhole, bingo). If you are lucky to be there on a night when the food truck is open, grab the burger! What a fun place to enjoy a couple of beers with your Pup! This place opened last month, It's a dog park divided in 3 spaces: 1. The Dog Park is fully fenced, has a double fenced Entry/Exit just in case a dog tries to get out while someone is entering or leaving, they have plastic chairs around the terrain, a couple of obstacle course items, a mini plastic pool and a lot of space for the pups to run around. In this area there's always 2 - 4 employees equipped with items to stop a fight between dogs. For ex. While we where there a fight broke loose between a couple of dogs, they immediately ran to them, used an air spray (Which they pointed AWAY from the dogs, since its used to get their attention) and broke the fight. I loved that cause as you can see in my pics mine is a 5 pound Tea Cup Yorkey, so I get worried with other dogs around. They had other items but for the sake of not doing a huge review lets keep going. 2. They have an open spaced area with around 8 picnic wooden tables where you can bring your food if you like, eat and drink a couple of beers while watching your dog play right beside you. 3. Then they have the Tap Room which pretty much has a wall with 20 different options from Mad Tree, Braxton to Rose wine so yeah there's options. They have seltzers as well in a cart and even small bottle of wines as well. Its self service, they give you a card like in Dave and busters and you serve yourself the beer or wine per ounces. The screen shows you how much each poor costs, so If you like to serve just half a cup to avoid that it gets warm or maybe just have a taste to try it out you can and on the side it has the total amount that you have one that specific card so its a great way to manage your tab. Just a Small Warning. On your first time you will have to create profiles for everyone who will join you, so just a heads up, it takes a little more time than what I would've like to spend on it but it's a one time thing to sign all the liabilities, show that your dog has all the shots, etc. Prices may seem a little high at first but to be honest its worth it. If not mistaken for one day its around $10 for a month $22 (which is the one I took and will keep renewing depending on the season) and a yearly price which gets up on the $200+. But!!! If you dont have a dog you can just go for the Tap Room with no membership required. I highly recommend this place, Im always with my dog so every time I'm around the area we can just stop by, play around a bit, get a couple of cold ones and sit in the shade after a little fun. Lastly I am guessing they may be working on this already but a food truck from time to time would be a game changer LOL. read more

We love visiting the BarkPark with our dog. The owner, Lee, is always a smiling face and seems to remember not just the dogs names, but ours as well! The field is very large and that's important when the balls start flying. I feel like we always have enough room to do our thing and our dog can play with others or stick to ball chasing easily. I like that they rotate the beer offerings and I've had friends come with me who are glad to see seltzer and wine on tap, too. Only drawback is sometimes some owners leave their dogs' poo behind, but that's more an etiquette thing, standard at public dog parks, than a BarkPark specific issue. We have a membership and love that we can pop in and pop out on a nice day. read more

We stopped by yesterday to check things out. The owner Lee was very hospitable. He had a good relationship with his customers and was on top of things. I tried the Smashburger tacos and they were fantastic. The park was well maintained and clean. We spoke with a number of the current members and they had nothing but good things to say as well. However, beware the owners dog is unleashed and will corner you and your small dog soon as you step in. theor dog is not easily identifiable and whatever they've titled it, there is no introduction or notice of what is happening, and the reception are is small and oddly shaped making for a stressful entry. I've been to numerous dog bars, have never experienced that kind of ambush. the owner immediately starts questioning you, does not maintian any control of their large dog, and further doesn't allow for a seamless processing and sign up while their large unlesshes dog pushes your dog around and under you in intimidation. very odd, please take this warning. wish I knew what to expect. read more

We met the owner (along with his girlfriend and their cute dogs) of The Bark Park & Patio while at 'Bark in the Park' at the Reds game and he was very friendly! He gave us free day passes to come check out this new spot so we went with our dog + another couple and their dog and it was a great way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon! We enjoyed some drinks while our dogs had the time of their lives playing in the HUGE dog park area with balls, toy, and tons of other dogs. The check-in did take some time, so be prepared for that...you have to show proof of your dog's vaccines and fill out paperwork online. I do think you can do that in advance online, so that could save you time once you're there. For drinks, you get a card that's tied to your credit card and you just insert it at whichever drink you want and you pour it yourself into a plastic cup. You can pour a taste, half a cup, a full cup - whatever amount you want! It is a cool concept and nice that you don't have to wait on a bartender, but it is pricey. A taste was about $2. We had a really fun afternoon but I'm not sure we would pay for a membership. I could see us going a couple times a year, but there are so many free dog parks around that I just couldn't justify paying for this often. And to my dog, they're all the same! Also, if you really want to drink while your dog plays, who's saying you can't bring a tumbler of your drink of choice to the neighborhood dog park? This is such a fun addition in Florence! We have visited family here and have had a great time with our dog here. Tons of room to play, staff supervision, and a nice bar area. Lots of seating in and out of the park, and fun structured for dogs to play on. This is the biggest dog park our lil Theo has ever been to, so it's fun to see him run in giant laps around the yard! Easy parking lot too - stop by Fillmore's first for an easy meal or snack/drink! We'll definitely be back :) read more

Absolutely one of the best places to take your pup! I love watching her run with the other dogs in the huge acre field!! We also enjoy the variety of beers/wine on the beer wall. It's a great place to unwind after work with friends and let your pup get some exercise. The staff is amazing and friendly and are always happy to give belly rubs and toss a ball. I highly recommend checking out one of the special events. They are always excellent!! It sounds like a good concept. You think you can bring your dog in and the dogs will be well behaved since you have to pay for your dog to get in. Unfortunately this a place for people to drink when they can't leave their dog at home. People think you will babysit their dog while they drink. Save your time and money. Go to a dog park instead of paying to watch someone's dog. There are also great places in OTR that are dog friendly! Donate that $10 to a dog shelter instead. I was so looking forward to this place opening. We had been to a few concepts like it in Denver, Austin and Washington. The idea something simialr was opening up closer to home was exciting. This place fell so below expectations it actually was laughable. First lets talk about the dog area. What does the 10.00 per dog go towards????? This area has less to offer than my local community dog park that is free. There is no shade for the dogs other than the picnic tables, the only water feature is one kiddy pool that looks very questionable. Yes it is a big grassy area and it is fenced in but I don't understand why I would pay 10.00 to take my dog there? I guess if you live somewhere with nowhere to let your dog play outside and no other dog park is near by. It could be an expensive option. At least at Wags there was so much for my dogs to do. And even for me to do for that matter. As for the bar area it is ok but the equivalent to a small room with taps. Not a lot of room to socialize. The establishment is 21+. Which again I thought I would enjoy but all our friends now can not join us with both their dogs and their kids. So no one would even be able to come. I say save your money and walk your dog to a dog friendly patio. They will get just as much socializing and exercise as this place can offer. And your friends can actually join you with their families. Maybe, hopefully, more to come but for $20.00 for my 2 fur babies? We'll stay at our dog park with trees and water fountains and lots of fun obstacle toys. Or even our local dog friendly patios. read more

I had been wanted to visit Bark Park and was excited to have the opportunity to visit it through a Yelp event. Upon walking in, everyone was super friendly. You pre-load a beer card (Pour card) and use that card to self serve your beer. They have lots of local beer on tap which I love! Before entering the dog park, there are lots of patio tables to sit at with your dog. On the night I went they were also doing dog painting which was just adorable. The dog park is HUGE! Way bigger than expected which is also a win in my book. It is all fenced in with a 6-8ft privacy fence which is also nice. The park is full of 2 pools, balls, and lots of Adirondack chairs. There were 2 Bark staff employees in the dog park which dogs are in there and they were wonderful and made it feel more safe. My only feedback would be I wish I could get a beer while in the dog park with my dog (Even with the staff in the yard, I didn't want to leave my dog without supervision). Overall, this is a great business and will wear out your dog! I love any place that is dog friendly!!! read more
