I am a Fan of The Barkery. I have yet to taste one of their baked goodies which has no added sugar, no corn, no salt, no artificial flavours and no food colouring. This may sounded a little too healthy for me but my dog loves it! P-Nut Butter Training Treats ($6.75): Whole wheat flour, oat bran, oats, canola oil, whole eggs and all natural peanut butter Apple Carrot Zucchini Snaps Spelt Flour ($6.75): Organic spelt flour, barley flour, barley flakes, freshly grated apples, unsweetened apple sauce, grated zucchini, carrots, sunflower oil, honey, molasses,flax seeds, ground flax and cinnamon (Apple and Honey Sourced Locally) I guess now The Barkery is our must stop stores when we are in Stratford for some doggie treats. My sister bought the dehydrated emu meat and pumpkin snaps from the owner at a Stradford food festival. The price she paid was several dollars higher than the first time the owner quoted her and also higher than the prices listed on her website. It may have been a genuine mistake, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. My dog didn't care for the pumpkin snaps (there wasn't really a lot of pumpkin in them) but loved the dehydrated emu meat. We tried to order it online but it was never in stock. Finally my sister e-mailed the owner and asked when it would be in stock again. The owner said she may be able to get it in stock in a few weeks and asked my sister for her address and credit card information. My sister asked if she could pay through Paypal instead (more secure) because it was offered through her website. The owner replied that my sister can try ordering through the website and paying through Paypal but the price might end up being higher than what the owner quoted her. So again the inconsistency in prices. We decided this business wasn't reliable or completely honest so we stopped trying to order from them. It's disappointing because my dog is picky and there are not a lot of treats he likes. read more

For those of us who leave behind our pets when visiting The Stratford Festival - this is a "must stop" place! I always bring back some "barkery" goodies for my greyhounds and for those friends (and their pets) who have been kind enough to care for my babies while I was on vacation. Love this place! And my girls LOVED their Stratford Swan "cookies." read more
