For the most part, the equipment was the shiny black stuff we all remember from the late 90s and early 2000s. Sadly, I didn't see a single beautiful amp from the 1970s or 1980s. I judge an equipment section based off of how many VU matters and oscilloscopes I see. Sadly, it was all black plastic and blue LEDs. I'm sure sure how the vinyl is cleaned before sale, but most purchases come with an exterior sleeve of various quality. I wish the record came with a free replacement interior sleeve for the LP, I would even pay money for this services, but it wasn't on the me available for me at the time. I can't afford to buy stacks of LP sleeves, let's make those available as useful and value adding upgrades! The staff was awesome and helped me so much. Without these workers, the store wouldn't be what it is today.

But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. (Truly a great guy:) There was vintage furniture here, including antique furniture (100 years or older). There were even some really nice primitive pieces, such as a butler's sideboard (see pic). The glass items sold here are beyond reproach-- so many quality glass pieces (such as Fenton) in mint condition. Lots of Roseville & Hull pottery as well. Impressive collection of glassware & pottery at fair prices! Lots of vintage silver jewelry here, along with some 10k, 12k, & 14k pieces. I was in a different antique store in Lake Wales when I started chatting with a lady who highly…read morerecommended Treasure House Antiques and Collectibles. Later in the day I wasn't too far away in Winter Haven so I stopped in. She wasn't exaggerating about the grand scale of this antique store. Susan and Diego Barreiro opened their business in 2000. They started working out of their den on Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven but they outgrew the space so in 2014 they moved to this location. In 2022 they won Best of Haven, Best Antique Store. Treasure House Antiques and Collectibles is located in a former funeral home. There is 10, 000 square feet of inventory and 42 vendors. After receiving a greeting I was free to explore room after room filled with treasures, clothing, furniture and home goods. Some of my favorite discoveries were the vintage holiday decorations, mid century Christmas tree, vintage Pyrex, and vintage stove. Prices seemed very reasonable. Clothes started at $5, antiques and collectibles started at $5, and furniture started at $10. If you love vintage and antiques as much as I do, this is definitely a stop you want to make in Winter Haven.
