Sure - the parking is a bit meh but they had the fitting I needed and the price was fair. I didn't check out the entire store - I pretty much looked in the plumbing section and asked a guy working there to help me find the correct-sized fitting. He was nice enough and more important he got me the correct-sized fitting.

There was not a sign anywhere stating this and I was not verbally warned about it. Guy behind the counter then moved the digital signature device to show there's a charge (mind you this sign is the size of a business card and was hidden) I would have had no problem paying it and it's not even that much. But it's very shady to do it the way they are. I will no longer buy tools from here because of this.

"We don't sell those, only the whole thing" was not the reply I was looking for. I don't feel like chipping the stone on my house to replace an entire spigot head. I call frantically around to hardware stores. I call True Value, "yes we have that, we close in 30 minutes". So I fly across town to this place, which I admit is hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for. I walked in with the spigot handle, which had the washer attached, however the screw holding the washer had its head broken off. The guy there CUTS the washer off, and uses a Vice Grip to pull the broken screw out. If this had gone wrong, I would have been without water for the weekend, but it was no problem. He pulls out a new washer, a new screw and some graphite packing, and I am home with a fixed spigot in no time flat. I LOVE this place. Every time I go there, they are extremely helpful, and the only hardware store I will go to now if possible here in Erie. They have helped me with random fittings and build something that is what I am looking for. The Best!!

They tend to keep their workers long-term for the most part. I don't know them by name but the lady is really helpful as are the older guys who work there. I had an issue where I needed a screw for a deadbolt. The guy looked through their vast screw selection and even went in the back to look at the oddball screws and couldn't find it. So what'd they do? He seriously (after checking with the manager) busted a deadbolt package, grabbed one of the screws and gave it to me. Now that is customer service! I've also had issues where I showed them photos on my phone and they recommend a product or a specific sized piece of wood for a job. They're usually correct in their recommendations. I will do my best to come here more often to buy as their customer service and expertise is much better than the big-box stores.

We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

I ordered two fence panels on a Thursday for a Saturday delivery. On a Friday the employee who was…read moreloading up the truck for Saturday deliveries called to let me know they did not have two panels in stock, and that somebody would give me a call from customer service. I did not receive a call on Friday,Saturday, Sunday or Monday. On Tuesday I called the Lowe's to speak to customer service about my order that had not been delivered. The phone system was automated and very hard to navigate to a human. I was placed on hold for seven minutes and then disconnected. I was placed on hold for eight minutes and then I called and spoke to customer service who put me on hold and never came back so I hung up. I called again and got the same employee who put me on hold so that she could find out how to help me and I was on hold for another eight minutes and then I hung up. I received a phone call back about 45 minutes later and the employee said that they would refund my money. Lowe's needs to step up its customer service.

We are completely satisfied with all he has done for us and would recommend him. He's cleaned the siding, the gutters (inside and outside) painted the foundation and steps, power washed the deck and is painting that. Painted the basement walls and floor.
