Growing up on Long Island meant regular trips to Dairy Barn, the iconic drive thru convenience store where you'd go to pick up milk on a Saturday morning when your parents realized they ran out and couldn't have their coffee. It was the red barn shaped building where you'd just pull up, get what you need, and go. Now, they've reinvented themselves as The Barn, and after blowing up on TikTok for their creative drinks, I knew I had to try their coffee. The Barn now offers so much more than your standard convenience drive thru. Their menu has leveled up with specialty lattes, dirty sodas, seasonal treats, and donuts. It was a crisp fall weekend and I was all about embracing the fall season vibes, so I went straight for a seasonal latte. The pumpkin spice latte came served INSIDE a real pumpkin! Not only was it super Instagram worthy, but the drink itself was a hit. Not overly sweet like so many pumpkin lattes tend to be. Definitely a fun way to enjoy a fall treat. My sister went for the Cookies and Scream latte, which was topped with a freshly baked Schmackary's cookie. She loved that it was both indulgent and flavorful, with the cookie as a decadent bonus. It's worth noting that these drinks are definitely on the pricier side. $38 for two lattes is a splurge, even by New York standards. But given the experience, and the fact that my drink was served in a literal pumpkin ... I can't say I regret it. If you grew up around Dairy Barn or just love a great seasonal coffee with a twist, The Barn makes for a fun, nostalgic visit. I look forward to seeing their Christmas specials. read more

Love the creativity of the menu and that it's always adding new seasonal flavors, love the idea of old dairy barns being used instead of being empty. It feels nice to have a drive thru option that isn't a big national chain! Wait time can be hit or miss though so plan to wait a bit if there's more than 1 or 2 cars. read more

No mask worn by the worker!!!! Stop the spread and wear a mask!! Multiple cars a day going through the drive thru and the worker should be wearing a mask!!! Couldn't get what I needed today because I'm not putting myself at risk and I refuse to give my money to companies not trying to prevent the spread!! Great little drive through convenience market. Employees are super friendly and helpful. Selection is excellent. Service is quick and efficient. Terrific for a quick stop. When it was Dairy Barn, they did not take credit or debit cards, but The Barn does. Prices are high, but you are paying for convenience. You never have to leave your car. Great in bad weather. They have buttered rolls for breakfast and fresh made sandwiches for lunch. You can buy coffee, pet food, candy, gum, chips, milk, beverages, ice cream, beer, cigarettes and basic household goods. They even carry the plain variety of Hummel & Hummel's pizza crumb (a local bakery crumb cake delight). Highly recommended. read more

Sam was the rudest clerk I've seen in years. Barely opened the door, collected my money before doing anything and then didn't give me the bag I clearly asked for. Then had the gall to lie to me when I asked again for a bag telling me that they didn't have them any more, when I could clearly see them on the counter. Then changed her mind, charged me for the bag and did want to give me my change for the charge. Something was very fishy about this transaction. read more
