    We attended a gorgeous wedding here & my wife was worried it would be too chilly to be outside for most of the event. On the contrary we lucked out as the day was very sunny & breezy for both the wedding & reception. They did have outside space heaters strategically placed. Open bar & food buffet was perfect. We had a blast at this wedding venue. Oh btw don't wear your pricy designer heels bc outside grounds are basically dirt & dusty! There were restrooms prior to the venue but toilet tissue ran out but inside the barn by the stairs were okay although my wife thought she locked herself in there that she panicked for a moment! She joked with another family friend about it later. Heehee...oh we ubered here so not sure how parking worked out for people although my brother found parking across the street from the front entrance! Nice, right?

    Attended a business dinner here last night. I was super impressed with the atmosphere and the quality of the food and the service is top notch. The lights in the courtyard create a delightful ambiance for cocktail hour. Walking into the barn, you're struck by the care that was taken to restore all the wood inside. It had the rustic chic look that exudes style!

    Truthfully the best experience ever. My (now) husband and I have very demanding jobs and didn't want a wedding planning experience that would consume us and take us away from why we were getting married. The Barns not only provides a beautiful canvas to build your own experience, it has everything you need- catering, bar services, coordinator, and so many fun experiences throughout the planning process (food tasting, etc). We had SO many people tell us, call us, text us, after saying that was the best food they've ever had. 10000000000% recommend and would do it all over again! Charlene, our coordinator, was extremely responsive throughout the entire planning process, and made the day of so stress free, fun, and relaxed. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

    A must wedding venue! After seeing many venues we found the Barns at Cooper Molera and fell in love! We originally did not want a barn, but the combination of the barn with the historic adobe buildings and the location so close to downtown, it was truly the perfect venue. They were super easy to work with and very detail oriented. Susan was on top of all the details and made the day completely stress fee and effortless. They worked with my vendors directly and the whole wedding day exceeded expectations. The team there is so kind and fun to work with. Absolutely loved everything about our experience!

    Where do I even begin? The Events by Classic Group (specifically Charlene!) and The Barns venue was such an incredible experience from start to finish. We had such an out of this world experience partnering with Charlene throughout the entire planning process. Charlene is extremely knowledgeable in the wedding industry, unbelievably organized, super prompt in her email responses, tremendously professional, and an absolute gem of a human being to work with. Words cannot even remotely express how grateful we are for Charlene - she is truly the best and we owe everything to her! Our wedding day was so seamless and extremely well executed - she truly went over and beyond for us and we seriously can't thank her enough. YOU HAVE TO BOOK CHARLENE!! We always felt so at ease knowing that Charlene was right by our side the entire time. Aside from Charlene being absolutely perfect at everything that she does, the Events by Classic Group team is also such a wonderful company to work with as well. From booking the venue with Amanda (She's awesome!!) to the high level of service that the catering team provided during dinner was absolutely phenomenal. We chose the plated dinner option and the catering team provided such a wonderful and seamless experience for our guests that made the entire evening run so smoothly. Our guests still cannot stop talking about how incredibly delicious the food was! They all kept saying that it was better than eating at a fancy steakhouse restaurant! The food is out of this world good. I have nothing but incredible things to say about Charlene, the Events by Classic Group team, and the catering team - it's truly the dream team and I can't recommend them all enough! Our wedding guests were absolutely blown away with how classic (no pun intended) and beautiful our wedding was and we owe it all to Charlene and the team! We highly recommend booking Charlene - she's simply the best!!! Your wedding will be a million times better if you book Charlene!

    We got married at The Barns on May 26, 2019. It was the most perfect and beautiful day. Almost two years later, people are still talking about how amazing the wedding was! They say it's the best wedding they've ever been to. Rosie was wonderful from the start. She made sure every aspect was covered, even making sure that the bride and groom had a moment to eat a few appetizers in the whirlwind after the ceremony! The weather forecast leading up to the big day showed rain. To be safe, Rosie suggested we rent a tent, which was NOT what I wanted at all. We managed to find a clear tent that we ended up using as more of a gazebo. On the day of our wedding, the sun came out and it was gorgeous! The sides of the tent were opened and the cover from the tent provided some extra warmth for our guests in the evening once the sun went down. I felt like I was floating the entire day. Rosie worked closely with my personal wedding planner--- all I did was show up! Because of the forecast for rain, we ended up having to change our plans from food stations to a plated meal. Rosie was able to make it all work and it was perfect! Family and friends RAVED about the food- the tritip and salmon was a hit! We opted for the open bar with two signature cocktails and our guests loved it. The outdoor bar was just perfect and added so much to the ambiance! The indoor bar was great, as well, perfect for grabbing a drink off the dance floor! The staff were great- super efficient and friendly. Getting ready in the loft area with my bridesmaids was absolutely dreamy. I'm not sure how else to describe it-- it felt like a movie set. The balcony overlooking the courtyard was the perfect place to take a few minutes to ourselves and watch our guests having fun. We took photos before the ceremony in the beautiful courtyard and garden. Walking out of the barn doors with my dad and seeing the guests turn towards me will forever be etched into my memory. We cannot say enough great things about the venue and the staff. If you are looking for rustic charm, friendly and professional staff, delicious food and drink and the perfect wedding day, look no further! You've found it!

    I got engaged in 2019 and was so excited to plan my wedding for 2020. I had everything planned and ready to go, then COVID hit. I never imaged I would have to plan, alter, and completely change my wedding dreams. The reason I am giving this background is that I want to shed light on how AMAZING Susan and The Barns were during this very difficult time. Susan was the most responsive coordinator. Every email I sent she responded to. Every phone call I made she answered. She made my whole wedding planning experience much easier. I do not know what I would have done without her. I can not thank her and The Barns enough. I would highly recommend using The Barns or The Perry House for any of your events.

    We pulled it off! When we started planning our wedding almost one year ago we thought we had found our dream venue to host our 120 guests for a night to remember. As anyone reading this will know as 2020 progressed we became more and more familiar with living in a pandemic and the challenges that can provide. Once it became clear that there was no way we could host our wedding as we had originally intended; our event coordinator Amanda from the events by classic group could not have been more helpful providing us with options. She of course offered us a 2021 date should we choose to postpone, but instead we chose a different option she presented to us that would both make our guests feel safe to attend and satisfy our needs of a special day to remember. We held our ceremony at their sister venue, The Perry House followed by a small dinner reception in the beautiful courtyard at the barns. Everything turned out so beautiful, and we all had such a wonderful time. The food and drinks provided by the events by classic group were stellar, and I could not speak any higher praises of Amanda, our event coordinator. She kept everything on schedule and really brought our dreams to life. If you, like we were, are on the fence about having a wedding in a covid world I hope my words help you find comfort in knowing that you will be well taken care of by the events by classic team at the barns or any of their other venues.

The venue itself has so much coastal charm already that you don't feel overwhelmed with needing to infuse a lot of personality through decor. At the same time, it can still be transformed with florals and any additional decor elements. It was truly the best of both worlds. Our venue provided coordinator Alyssa was fantastic to work with! She answered so many of our questions and was always quick to respond over email. The catering provided by the venue was phenomenal and all of our guests raved about the food. We went with the New York steak and tarragon crusted salmon as our entrees and they were even better than we remembered at our tasting. Since we had a small guest count we even got to add on a slew of extra desserts to reach our food and beverage minimum and additional decor/rental items which was great because it felt like every dollar went towards something. They were even accommodating to our specific signature cocktail requests which were off-menu and our specific NA beer requests. Everything the day of the wedding went smoothly and without a hitch. We cannot recommend The Perry House enough to anyone looking for a charming, Monterey wedding.

We enjoyed their rooftop spa overlooking the bay- next level. The entrance to the hotel opens up to a beautiful first floor with ocean view, large fireplace, sofas and seating areas, and a small bar. During our visit we had the pleasure to discover a highly talented artist by the name of Adrea, who has the most incredible voice and presence. We were so impressed by her and were very fortunate that she performed both nights of our visit. It was a performance we would have gladly paid to see, she is a rising talent for sure. I can't state how exceptional our experience was to enjoy the music in such an elevated atmosphere, relaxing by the fire, enjoying the outstanding craft cocktails by their highly talented mixologist. The lobby has an older, vintage feel to it, which gave it some charm. Unfortunately, the check in experience wasn't the best. The front desk receptionist wasn't very friendly or welcoming, so it didn't exactly start our trip on a positive note. Our room with two queen beds was pretty standard, but it was clean and had a beautiful view overlooking the water, which was definitely the highlight. The service throughout our stay was pretty disappointing. I called the front desk to ask for extra bath towels, and after waiting 30 minutes with nothing delivered, I had to call again. They finally arrived another 20 minutes later, which seemed way too long for such a simple request. The shower was also confusing because the hot and cold labels were reversed, and the water pressure was extremely weak. Neither of those things ruined the trip, but they definitely made the stay less enjoyable. We also ordered room service around 7:30pm. Jerry, who took our order, was very friendly and told us it would take about 45 minutes. An hour later there was still no food, so I called back around 8:45. Jerry apologized, checked on the order, and said it would be another 10 minutes before offering to personally bring it up. I appreciated his effort, but waiting well over an hour for room service was frustrating. To make matters worse, they already charge a service fee and then tack on an additional 20% service charge. The food wasn't worth the wait either. The ceviche lacked flavor and the portion was tiny, the ahi tuna wraps were just okay and didn't taste very fresh, and the Wagyu burger was dry and underwhelming. The fries were probably the best thing we ordered. Overall, I don't see myself staying here again, and next time I'd rather book the InterContinental instead.

The food was decent, the service was fine and while I find the atmosphere and environment a bit on the cheesy side, the depth of history and the cleanliness makes it stand out. The staff are friendly and there's 'free movie night' on Wednesdays It's an interesting place, I came primarily because there's only 2 Navy credit Union locations in northern California and would visit Monterey with my ex and kids on the weekends and because my Grandfather was stationed there after WW2. I wouldn't go out of your way to see it but for anyone in the reserves or on active duty passing through, it's worth a visit.

The rooms have a fantastic price compared to the local area and are rally nice compared to other Navy lodges. It is located just off the freeway and has easy access to downtown, Fisherman's ward, and the aquarium (via car bike or walk). The walk (70 minutes or so) will take you a bit but if you have time and are up for the exercise, we enjoy it! The Trident room is in the basement and parking is available on the grounds restricted during the week to certain lots as parking is needed for students and faculty.
