I wish I could give them 0 , not a school, messy place, smells like mold. You couldn't hear anything, a small bar with bar seats, half of the bar was filled with former students ( hahaha) they were making drinks and shaking bottles, so imagine what you could hear! Such a joke. They called us to take our reviews off and offer us our money back BUT they asked for our card number I really scared to give my card number out! Cole was an incredibly knowledgeable instructor, easily one of the best people in the industry. I got certified in about 2-3 weeks full time, but they are very flexible with class schedules. It will take a lot of studying outside of class, but it gets easier with the immediate hands on experience since Day 1. One of my dream jobs is to be a professional bartender. So when I saw a Groupon for this school, my eyes lit up and I immediately scheduled myself for classes! Going into this class, I knew nothing about bartending and had very little knowledge about drinks. After a couple of hours in class, I learned about the history of certain drinks and how they got their respective names. Very interesting facts to know and you can impress your friends at the bar by telling them what you've learned (lol). The class itself is very fun and hands on. Although you will get tested at the end (written and bartending drill), there's really no stress plus it's tons of fun having your own bar and making drinks! You have full access to all the equipment as you're sitting behind the bar. All the bottles don't have alcohol in it but colored water. The provided textbook also has the steps to make each drink and useful to have when at home. John was our instructor. He made the class fun and was very helpful. If you're looking for jobs, he will tell you about some openings around your area. He gave a great vibe and was enthusiastic about bartending. Unfortunately, I did not finish bartending school. However, I talked with the director and you can reschedule yourself for classes anytime you want as long as it's in the same location you started at. I will put an updated review when I (finally) finish. This is a great for training if you want to become a bartender. Even if you're not looking to be a professional bartender, it's fun to be behind the bar and learning how to make drinks! No stress + having your own bar = 5 stars! read more

i'm gonna keep it completely real with you, this course was fun and i met some really cool people, HOWEVER taking bartending school is completely not necessary. Nobody will want to hire you just bc you took this class, you will need 1-2 years experience minimum to get a bartending position, you might get a bar back position but not bartending right out of schooling. The course doesn't cover everything you'd need to know being behind the bar either. We only did cocktails, mixed drinks and shots. We did not get taught about beer, wine or any blended drinks. Please if you want to be a successful bartender do not waste your time or money on this. Start as a server or host in a restaurant and try and work your way up into being a bartender at that company. The staff here has been pretty amazing since my initial call to inquire about the classes! I came in to meet with him and asked him to help me with some staff I needed here in California and in New York. He was super helpful and connected me with who would be able to help me out. So far so great! I just started this bartending school and let me tell you, it is a breath of fresh air! I'm learning so much thanks to the instructor, Sunny. He is very consistent and knowledgable. He is also very easy to learn from and always willing to help. The school itself is nice. It's very large inside and has two full bars set up so most of the time you get to practice on your own well, which is great. I'm learning all kinds of drinks and history that I've never been introduced to- even though I attended and became certified from another bartending school in LA back in June. I can honestly say I learned more here in two days, than I did in my 3 months at the other school. The owner of the school is happy to talk job placement with you as soon as you start which is different from other schools that make you wait until you complete your certification. This is nice because you can worry less about the break of unemployment when you finish the course and focus more on learning. You really have the burden taken off of you here. At the previous school I attended ( not affiliated with this school ) they made the students do everything! Vacuum, dust scrub...everything- anything they could have students clean, they would. But this is not the case at this school. They have the instructors take more responsibility and it is nice because students have more time to practice because of this. The parking lot is great during the day but at night, it is very dark and scary. However, the school encourages you to park right in front and never lets you walk out alone so this is a good solution. I wouldn't say the parking lot is dangerous, it's just that the other businesses close early so during night classes, there's not much traffic. Overall, my experience here has been so great this far. The owner, John is a good guy, willing to help and very genuine. The instructor, Sunny, well he is just great! I'm excited to continue to be properly educated here and look forward to recommending this school to everyone! read more
