It's a good place to come and play and people often do. It feels like it's publicly available and that's how it's usually used. I wish the soccer fields here were too, it's very aggravating for me. Memorial Park is amazing and this is a good part of it. It's on the North side close to where Washington meets the Interstate 10.

There's some nice shade canopies and lots of seating and picnic tables, a big grassy area for running or sports, a pool, a few tennis courts, and a small hill perfect for kids to roll toys down (or themselves!). Tons of neighborhood families walk here so parking was a breeze even though the park was very busy. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast!

Nothing gets out of hand, but sometimes there is trash lying around the next day as a result of these gatherings. There are areas to play tennis, basketball (not full court), baseball. There are restrooms. Parking in the lot is limited, but street parking all around.

I didn't see a designated parking area and so I parked on the right side, it's located on a packed street with houses on the left side. I had fun at this place!

I loved most that there were so many folks there: having picnics, learning how to perfect their roller skating skills, and simply gawking at all of the gates covered in artistic, glass, and beaded masterpieces. The live music was a nice surprise, as well as the arena covered in Houston street signs. Every head turn greeted me with original and unique art ond display: speedometers, affirmations of the power of love, and even dancing mermaids and skeletons engaged in intense conversations. I loved it all! Glad that the winters are mild enough to enjoy this park all year long.

The park is right next to the freeway, but there are some trees along the perimeter to help hide this fact. It doesn't really help that much though. The park contains a playground, baseball field, a basketball court, and of course, some green space. My reason for visiting the park was for the basketball court. The basketball court is covered and has 4 baskets. There are normally at least a few people playing on week day afternoons. On the weekend there are usually enough people for a full court game. There is nothing really special about this park, unless you consider being right above the freeway a plus.
