I'm really not a big fan of this Bay store and I honestly can't remember the last time I actually purchased a piece of clothing here. I have often felt as though I'm walking through a thrift store and it's really not appealing. I did favour the 'cattle lineup' central cash area but now it seems as though we're back to the old familiar hunting around to find someone who will cash you out... which is always a treat.

After having filled up my car's gas tank, I wanted to pick up a few items from Giant Tiger. I was driving. I asked Google where the closest Giant Tiger was. I got this location, which was four minutes away. Yay! This store looks huge from afar. I was planning on pulling into the parking lot entrance like a regular person. There was a car on a diagonal slant, trying to make a left turn. Geez, thanks for blocking the entrance for everyone. I drove a bit more and used that entrance-exit to get into the parking lot. I parked a bit further away from the main entrance and walked in. Yep, this store is huge. I liked everything that I looked at. It had a cage for your cell phone. You can lock it up if you feel that you can't put your cell phone down. I also liked the socket shelf. It was a bit pricy at $39.99, though. It has a decent selection of Squishmallows. I also looked longingly at the Jets puck pillow. I wouldn't know where I'd put it if I were to purchase it, but it looked cool. The store has a great grocery section. I got some breakfast items, including crustless quiches. There was a coupon available, so I nabbed it for $1 off. There were two older women working the cashout area. The woman that helped me out was super sweet. She asked if I needed a bag. I was good without one. We also talked about crustless quiche. I have had it before and it's yummy. There is so much parking in this plaza that it's almost ridiculous. It would be perfect to hold some sort of carnival with rides. I liked my experience at this Giant Tiger. I'll be back when I'm in this area again. (429)

Think of it as an upscale Winners - fancier labels, bigger and brighter displays, a more organized store...and none of that weird Winners smell. There are designer brands here but you'll also see a bunch of brands that don't jump out at you. Some of the items are probably the reject items from last seasons line but the store is enormous. If you're patient enough, you can probably find a great deal on something. Most of the items are heavily discounted and the amount of savings is prominently displayed on each of the item's tags. In general, the prices are a little bit higher than what you find at Winner's but the quality of the items is better. I was able to find a cute faux leather jacket for $60 without too much time spent in the store. Mission accomplished!

I saw a few legitimate deals: some real fur scarfs 50% off retail, some decent down parkas on sale before winter (Pajar, Rud), some out of season but real designer sunglasses (Chloe, Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Prada, etc.). But I saw some really low-price brands too: Steve Madden, Ivanka Trump, Matt & Natt, that do not represent any kind of a deal. I almost bought a Missoni scarf but found the whole experience so tacky that I didn't want to buy it and remember I was ever there. If you are looking for real design and quality just pay for parking and shop the sale items at the real Saks at Yonge and Queen.

They have a huge selection of interior decor like fake flowers and home goods. Cons: it's literally so busy, the store is messy and stuff is all over the place. The aisle is a bit narrow it's so crowded it was so hard to move. They did set a limit for how many ppl can go in later on. There's also A LOT OF LITTER! I saw so many Tim Hortons and beverage cups in random spots. Kids were also running havoc. The electronics are sparse. Not sure about the quality. There's a lot of furnitures too like bed frames! I saw some trolley for $15 which is a good deal! Service is nonexistent, there is someone watching and directing the cashier lines (don't worry bout someone budding you)

The store has taken over the entire space Rona used to be, making it incredibly large. With slight exaggeration, you could get 10k steps in just looking around. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

They kept the controllers behind a glass case. They had about 7 controllers and to my surprise, the controllers were kept in clear plastic bags! No original Sony packaging! I asked "I thought these were brand new?" The guy there says "these are what we call open-box items. The controllers were just removed from the PS4 system. But they have never been used." That was a total lie because I inspected all the controllers (2 silver, 1 blue, 4 black) and they all had scratches on them. Several of them even had the serial number sticker on the back removed or scratched off. I questioned him about that, and he said "well we've sold many of these and never had a problem". There was a second hand store across from them that I went to and they advised me that this Canadian Outlet Store was notorious for selling refurbished items. Don't trust this place!
