So, Kitchen Stuff Plus is a bit of an in between for those who like getting cooking stuff at Winners and those who want the quality of Williams Sonoma. They have some good stuff, they have some average stuff. This location is convenient because of a few reasons: 1. Close to where I live, King St and Queen St, and all the condos in the area. 2. Has parking. I don't own a car, but if you do and hate paying every time you stop someplace to pick something up, it's a bonus 3. Not too big but has what you want I've gotten Henkels sauce and fry pans here, a meat tenderizer and utensils, and all have been very fairly priced. The displays make sense, staff are extremely helpful and its never too crowded. Worthy of mention: The Henkels stuff was taken from a set. They do this in addition to selling the sets as it makes it easier for customers to get the lice they want without having to buy an entire set. Henkels has given the all clear on this, and the prices are better because of it. They also carry their own line of silicone utensils which are very affordable ($4 I think) as well as the brand name stuff. Worth the trip! read more

This store is located in the Liberty Village enclave of stores. I think its a good location as there aren't many options in this area for these kind of items. Location is pretty much the same size as other store albeit with higher ceilings. The store layout has clean lines and is well lit. Staff is similar to other spots i.e. usually knowledgeable and willing to help. I came here for a specific item and had checked the store stock online to make sure they had it in stock at this location. Unfortunately they had only one left in the store and the sales person was unable to locate it. However the sales person was very helpful and took their time offering me alternates. None of them met the criterion I had but I did enjoy spending my time here looking at all the new gizmos for a home cook. 3.5 Stars. read more

Spoiler: terrible return policy, they'll fault you for damaged goods, rude managers. You're better off at Canadian Tire, a five minute walk away. I bought a salt grinder and a pepper grinder from Yonge/Bloor Kitchen Store Plus on Sunday. At the cash, there was some confusion over price tags on the salt grinder, and the cashier had to go to get another one or something. I thought nothing of it, so I didn't really pay attention. They wrapped up both grinders in brown paper, and I went on my merry way home. When I got home, I realized the salt grinder had some rust on the top. Also, it wasn't grinding the salt. The pepper grinder worked just fine. I went back to the store on Tuesday to have the salt grinder exchanged. I'd bought it just 2 days earlier and still I had the receipt and credit card, so I thought it would be a quick in-and-out. I just wanted to replace the faulty item with a new one, I wasn't even asking for my money back. To my surprise, the managers refused to return/exchange it. They insisted I must have damaged it. What coud I have possibly done to produce this much rust on a (supposedly) new grinder in under 48 hours?! It was also how I was questioned and treated. Within seconds, the manager (I don't know his name) said it was "suspicious" and he kept repeating that word, referring to me / my presumed conduct. He said it was also "suspicious" that I'd brought the grinder back wrapped in tissue paper. I didn't want it accidentally knocking salt loose in my bag! He asked if I had shopped here before. I said yes, once, years ago. He then made a point of the fact that I didn't have an account with the store. I still don't understand why that was relevant, except maybe to suggest I was less trustworthy because I wasn't a regular customer? I just wanted a salt grinder that grinds salt! I didn't know this was going to be a test of packaging skills or my brand loyalty. It was bizarre. And worse, it was humiliating. All of this happened at the cash register, with lots of people around. They made me sound like a sneak or a thief, even though I'd returned to the store within 2 days and I had my receipt. When he opened it up (which I hadn't though to do), we saw there was even considerably more rust *inside* the grinder too - the metal had been pretty badly corroded (see pictures). He left. I thought it was to go get another grinder, because no one could reasonably believe a customer could do that much damage in less than 2 days. But he just switched out for another manager, this one named Connor, who told me to call the manufacturer for their warranty. On a corroded $12 grinder?! This would have been a painless 5 minute situation anywhere else. I was very confused by their behaviour until I looked at the reviews here. I see this store has a bad rep on returns and exchanges. Thank you to the other customers who have provided honest commentary here. There have been lot of other people in similar situations - there's a pattern of disregard. So even though I'm still frustrated, at least I'm not as surprised. I'm definitely never going back, and I'm telling my friends. I wish I had gone to Canadian Tire. It's just up the road. read more

What can you say about kitchen stuff plus?. Well, they do not accept American Express or tap to pay. They also allow you to return anything you purchase there as long as it is unused and unopened. That said many of the items are cheap made in China products that I can't recommend. There is the rare gem here and there, but overall the prices are not competitive with other stores like Walmart and Amazon.ca Management on the other side is an entirely different story. Don't bother following the instructions on the register in the store to like them on Facebook or sign up for their website because you will not get the deals that are promise to you. Management is more interested in customers shopping in high-end areas before they assist customers actually paying for a 400 dollar purchase. I will be returning items shortly and never shopping at KSP again. read more

I love this store! It has everything you need for the kitchen, bath and dining needs, plus miscellaneous and seasonal items. Also, they have frequent sales and their $5 $10 $15 deals are amazing! The location is not quite in my neighbourhood, but I'm a frequent shopper on most Saturdays when I go to the GoodLife in Liberty Village. It's definitely a lot better than the location at Yonge and Bloor where the store is like a maze to get through. The Liberty Village store is spacious, very clean, well organized and there is always plenty of staff on hand to lend a hand if you need them. I've only been here on Saturdays, so can only comment on that day. Two cashiers and 3 floor staff who manages the store well and always have smiles on their faces at most times. Floor staff are always visible, friendly, and very helpful, but I never have any issues finding items on my own. Plus I am always greeted upon entering and wished a farewell/good day when I leave. I definitely always have pleasant shopping experiences here even when I'm just there to browse. The best part of coming here on Saturday mornings after my gym workout, the store is practically empty, perhaps at most there are 5 - 6 customers in the entire store, so often times I feel like I'm shopping peacefully by myself. read more

Went in looking to buy my first set of decent/good quality knives. The manager was actually the one who took time to help me. He gave me so much information and didn't just try to sell me on a product. I'm so happy with the knife he helped me find because originally I thought I needed so many different knives but realistically I only needed to start with one good quality, versatile knife and he helped me decide which one was best suited for my needs so no second guessing or buyers remorse. I once went in looking for a new hand peeler and they had FOUR different kinds, with a good price range. Where else can you find that variety?? The chain itself is great, with kitchen equipment at a decent price that lasts if you take care of it, but this location reminds me what good customer service is all about. I've been here a few times and they are always attentive without being overbearing, and should be an example of what good service looks like. Staff has gone out of their way to help me, and if they couldn't they explain where I could find what I needed. If KSP has a internal recognition program this store should be among the best rated. Had an unfortunate experience at this store in Liberty Village that was reminscent of retail shopping when retailers treated customers like crap. Had a french press coffee maker where the temperate glass had cracked. This location carriers the exact same model so I went in to do a straight exchange. Manager refused saying that it was past 30 days. I responded that why would that be an issue if you carry the exact same model. I also pointed out that many retailers now provide exchange if the same product is still sold. Had similar issue with Bed Bath and Beyond no questions asked and past 30 days. This review is warn local shoppers that this store will gladly take your money but will not provide adequate customers service. read more

Whenever I go in here it's for a specific kitchen tool. FOUR times now I've gone in and they don't have what I'm looking for (e.g. deep fry basket, individual pot pie dishes, mojito glasses, ravioli press) I think they can remove "Plus" from their company name. read more
