I felt so bad, but not once was Sara rude or try to rush me out. I came to get my new to me vehicle registered and the person I purchased from messed up the title so it took a phone call and an email to ensure that was fixed. Sara did inform me it COULD be 2 weeks before we received our registration, however it only took a day (after submitting the additional paperwork needed)! It's disappointing to see the difference compared to how things used to be. Another concern is that AMS doesn't check or offer quotes from all available insurance providers, which limits your ability to find the most cost-effective coverage. You're not necessarily getting the best value. I recommend checking other companies first--such as Navy Federal, GEICO, USAA (if you're military), and others that AMS may not work with. Be sure to ask which providers they represent and which they don't, so you can make a more informed decision. Personally, I recently switched and ended up saving more than half on my monthly premiums--while also getting better coverage than I had through AMS. Another downside is the process for making policy or account changes. While claims can typically be handled directly with the insurer, all other changes must go through AMS. This adds unnecessary hassle, especially since their current customer service is slower and less responsive. You can't make quick updates yourself, which can be frustrating. Before COVID, I would have recommended AMS without hesitation. But since much of their team now seems to work remotely, the service just isn't what it used to be--and that's unfortunate. I'm grateful to have found a new insurance provider that offers better rates and allows me to manage my policy directly and conveniently.
