Spring Break 2026- 4 teenage boys looking for freedom. Bikes were dropped off early in the morning the morning with locks and helmets! The communication for The Beach Store & More was impeccable! They checked in to make sure we were available before showing up, they were even willing to drop off the night before had we made it there at a decent hour! The bikes were perfect for touring the island. The second day we had an issue with one of the chains and they brought a replacement bike within the hour! Talk about service. I would highly recommend renting here! Pricing beats most other companies I reviewed as well! We will definitely be repeat customers! read more

The Beach Store provided excellent service & bike rentals! We rented two for a three day span - they delivered & picked up saving the hassle of doing so yourself! Unfortunfortunately my son was terrified of the pull behind bike, age 6. We didn't think that would be the case or would we have never tried to rent the bikes in the first place. Sadly my son was crying a lot, and we had to forgo the experience. Normally he rides his own bike with training wheels. Though we took the bikes back right away, we were not given the full refund. We were charged for four hours. I wish we were actually gone this long, but we had to turn around and walk the bikes back, and return them as soon as we could. This is our first ever family vacation, just regular folks. I didn't feel it was a very good Christmas spirit to have. read more

The rented umbrella and chairs were a joke. The quality of a child's plastic playset or the cheapest set one can get at Walmart. The top of the umbrella was rusted and wouldn't bend. We had to hold onto it so it wouldn't fall or take flight. The chairs were stained with who knows what. Overall, a horrible experience. read more

Super friendly and nice staff! Located right across the street from the beach parking lot, this place is a one stop shop for your last minute beach needs and rentals. They even have parking right in front of and behind the store. On top of a great selection and reasonable prices, the staff is incredibly nice. It feels like the kind of place that exists because they want to help people enjoy the beach, not try to nickle and dime tourists. Highly recommend if you've forgotten anything or just need an umbrella to find a little relief from the sun. read more

Though I have not rented from this shop I am giving them 5 stars because they are allowing their place to be one of the places for concerned citizens (residents/visitors) to sign affidavits that HB 631 called the Beach Bill is a selfish, horrible plan to allow rich, Beach owners to deny access to the dry sands area in front of their mansions on the beach! Most of us thought that the beaches were open to anyone now this is being challenged! If you can find a location near you in Duval, Nassau, St Johns county and go voice your unhappiness/concern that it isn't right that a few rich (with political friends) can deny the rest of us access to the "dry sands" areas of all beaches in Florida! Must rent bikes here! We had a fantastic day on their single speed bikes. The owners really took care of us. From guiding us to the trail, Fort Clinch and historic Fernandina to picking up the bikes during a torrential downpour. We were unable to ride our bikes back to the shop during a wicked storm. The owners were so sweet and said not to worry that they would come pick the bikes up while we waited out the storm. Highly recommend renting your bikes here! read more

I stopped by Beach Rentals this week to grab a kayak for a couple hours while in town. I was absolutely blown away by my experience. It appeared to be a couple running the store, and they had to be the most helpful, resourceful, and customer oriented store owners I've ever come across. When asking for the kayak, they recommended I look at renting a board instead -- which was a much cheaper rental -- because the tide was heading out and waves would have made the experience pretty miserable. They had live data on the weather, tides, wave heights and frequency, and was pretty insistent I went with something that'd be fun --and less expensive. They were extremely accommodating and friendly, offering tips and suggestions. I think I was more taken back by them suggesting I take a more cost-effective option so I'd have a better experience. Certainly something I've never experienced when renting ocean gear from other like places --which I do frequently when travelling. Such an incredible experience and kudos for the owners on how they run their business. They aren't just pushing you into what they can make the most money off, they truly want the best experience for their customers --what a concept. The prices for their rentals I felt were very reasonable anyway, however, when I returned the rented board, they only charged half of what the full rental price was because I didn't have for a full two hours. I honestly can't say enough about this store, it's owners and the way it's run. Incredible experience and I will be going back next time I'm in town. I highly recommend. read more

Super experience renting a bike from The Beach Store & More! We stayed a week on Amelia Island, and I rented a bike for the week that was delivered to our condo. Reserving the bike online was easy, and Mike emailed me to arrange delivery. He did a great job communicating with me, and the entire process was extremely easy and convenient. Loved having the bike at the condo (parked at a bike rack in the condo parking lot with a lock provided by The Beach Store) and rode at least once a day. When we left at the end of the week, we just left the bike on the bike rack, and Mike picked it up sometime that weekend. Will be renting from them again next year! read more

A wonderful store. Very friendly, helpful and great stuff to purchase. However, the owner values $60 before making sure his customers are safe and happy. BUT totally our own stupid fault. As we get to the beach I see the red flag is up. We are totally novice beach snd surf people. We had hired surf boards the previous day and had an awesome time. This day I asked the guy in the shop " Hey I see the red flag is up, should we surf?" The about 14 year old said definitely NOT! But the owner said sure, and he let us rent boards again. The ocean was awful and our boys had not a hell's chance of surfing. Like I said "our fault for not knowing better" However, if you need to go somewhere to buy something go somewhere else as this shop doesn't deserve your money. I guess my warning is don't take surfing advice from him. read more

Our family of 4 enjoyed renting bikes for 3 days while on vacation in Amelia Island (for an incredibly reasonable price!). We had an absolute blast cruising the island and exploring the sites. Mike was super helpful in getting us set up and providing suggestions on where to bike. He even made the return process insanely easy by coming to pick up the bikes for us. The store owners, Mike and Kim are extremely helpful and have a great shop! The shop is located in a great spot near Ft. Clinch Park and nature trails and conveniently set on A1A across from the ocean on Amelia Island. We were a party of 3 adults looking to rent bikes on a Monday when many of the other bike stores were closed. Mike very efficiently got us set up on our bikes and gave us directions for easily and safely getting to Egan's Creek Greenway while avoiding traffic and then on to Ft. Clinch Park from there. The bikes, helmets and locks were reasonably priced and the extra guidance that Mike provided was priceless. It was a great time! The store itself has a variety of cool clothing, drinks, snacks and souvenirs to bring back home. They rent other things there as well! Definitely check them out when you visit Amelia Island! Amazing service, great friendly staff! We rented beach chairs and umbrellas from them last week while staying in Amelia Island. We came off the beach several times for ice cream, a t-shirt, sunglasses and souvenirs. They had everything we needed and more. This is our favorite bike rental store and they offer beachwear like bathing suits, flip flops and more. We met the owners, Mike and Kim, in March when we rented bikes for the day and they were super helpful. We recently rented from them again in May and the service is consistently top notch! Nice place for beach umbrella rentals and just about whatever else you could need for a day on the beach. Cheap boogie boards and skim boards, ice-cream bars (eat 'em there-- they won't make the trip across the road to the beach on a hot day!), nice folks running the place. read more
