Today I stopped by Michaels to exchange a skein of yarn for a different color and possibly purchase…read moreadditional yarn. When I walked up to the checkout area, there were at least two self-checkout stations available and one cashier behind the register. There were no other customers waiting to check out. Despite this, the cashier spent several minutes talking with another employee standing in front of the register before either of them acknowledged that I was there. Once the other employee stepped aside, I politely smiled and moved my cart up to the counter, but I still wasn't acknowledged. Eventually, without making eye contact or greeting me, the cashier simply motioned with her hands for me to place my items on the counter. Since I also had a return, I waited until there was finally an opportunity to explain why I was there. After the other employee walked away, the cashier greeted me and processed my return. During our interaction, she repeatedly called out loudly to customers entering the checkout area, directing them to use the self-checkout stations, which made it difficult to have a conversation. I had planned to purchase an additional skein of yarn because I had seen an online promotion and wasn't sure whether the sale applied to all yarn or only certain brands. When I politely asked, the cashier responded, "How would I know that?" I was honestly taken aback by the response. Rather than ask another employee or offer to check, she dismissed the question entirely. At that point, I decided to put the extra yarn back and only purchase the replacement skein I originally came for. I understand that retail can be stressful, and everyone has difficult days. However, customers shouldn't feel like they're inconveniencing employees simply by asking for assistance or basic information. A friendly greeting, eye contact, and a willingness to either answer a question or find someone who can would have completely changed this experience. I'm leaving this review in hopes that it's taken as constructive feedback, because customer service is just as important as the products a store sells.

I've used their services four times so far and couldn't be happier with the results. Karine approaches each project with a keen eye; partnering frame, glass, and mounting which perfectly complements each individual piece. In one instance, she completely changed my mind from what I had originally thought I wanted and her suggestion was totally on the mark. The shop also offers restoration of damaged works. If you have a piece that you hold close to your heart and feel it is beyond salvaging, bring it in and get Karine's opinion. She'll give you an honest and forthright opinion and you might be pleasantly surprised. I have high standards and always hope those standards can be met, but am usually disappointed with the results. First off…read more, when I immediately start to giggle upon entering a store, my people already know that things are about to get SERIOUS! I thoroughly enjoyed being able to actually walk through the isles ( 1 or 2 cartwheels) the isles were not so over stocked with items on the floor, or here or over there. I was able to actually see every item being displayed. I have been looking for crystals and rocks for so long and just about forgot about what I had been wanting , but then coming here I soon understood why nobody else has anything! They have so many crystals and so many different kinds of rocks and crystals and rocks! Prices are outstanding too! Not much of a "kids section" , but who cares they have entire other stores.
