Fast and friendly service. The strawberry white coffee is perfection in a cup. The gardener bagel was good but if you don't like limp bacon ask for them to make it crispy. I would order it again and have my bagel double toasted, crispy bacon, and extra cream cheese because it was a little to dry. The burritos are massive! read more

The bean is a local coffee shop located in Kellogg, ID. There's a parking lot in front and it's near the Silver Mountain resort. The staff were super nice and gave us recommendations on what to get here as well as what to do around town. The latte and zip fizz tasted flavorful and sweet. There's plenty of seating indoors and it has a very rustic feel. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in town and looking for a morning pick me up! read more

I've heard a lot of good things about this place, so I'm a little disappointed this was my experience. I only got an iced Matcha so I can't say anything about any other drinks or food. However, the matcha doesn't taste like a matcha. Also, I had chunks everywhere. I tried dissolving them but it still was pretty chunky. I also noticed while trying to dissolve the chunks there was some blue crystal stuff? What is that? Is there blue dye in their matcha?? I would have rejected this at the checkout but I had someone pick up the drink for me and bring it to me. I hope their other drinks and food are better but I suggest staying away from the matcha. Unfortunately, the rest of this drink will just be tossed. read more

Had to stop here to get caffeinated before we started our trip home to Seattle. The three ladies behind the counter were fun and friendly, despite the early hour. Obviously they work well together. Ordered my usual dirty chai and I was pleasantly surprised with the spiciest chai I've ever had. Kudos! And it wasn't on the menu, but they also made a sweetened ice tea for my friend, which was also quite good. They also have alcoholic and ice cream options available, as well as sandwiches. On our recent epic 2500 mile road trip my daughter and I set a goal to eat only at local spots, and to avoid chains and fast food. Unfortunately, a lack of cell service in many areas made this task more challenging than we'd anticipated. But it also made for some fun adventures as we pulled off of freeway exits and strolled various towns looking for food and - in the case of The Bean - coffee! The Bean is about 5 minutes off a freeway exit which also boasts fast food and gas stations, but it's well worth the hunt for this cute little spot with an awesome small town vibe. In fact, I got the impression it was mostly locals who frequent The Bean, as it was full of folks just hanging out, gabbing, and/or working on their laptops. I ordered my signature white chocolate mocha with almond milk (yes, they have alternative milks - yay!) and a bagel, while my daughter got an green tea frappucino and a muffin. It was great morning fuel before we tackled the epic Route of the Hiawatha bike trail. If you're looking for good coffee off the beaten path, drive the extra few minutes to The Bean! read more

This is the perfect spot to stop in for a latte and a bagel any time of day. There's plenty of space to sit and visit, or take your coffee over to the park if you have kids. We always stop here for ice cream for the kids, then go play at the city park across the street. I visit Kellogg frequently and ALWAYS make sure a trip to The Bean is included. read more

Wanted breakfast so went in here based on good reviews. Nice customer service. Got the cheese bagel with cream cheese and my grandson liked it. Got an everything bagel breakfast sandwich with egg, ham and cheese. Bagel is dry and I've never seen an egg like the one on the sandwich. Some kind of counterfeit egg. I love this place with my whole heart. My husband and I spent a month honeymooning in a secluded cabin in Kellogg. We'd come into town every few days and we always spent at least an hour at the Beanery! The location is so cute, the food and drinks are so good, the workers are so nice and helpful, and the outside is just amazing! I want to come back to Kellogg just to get a lemonade and a bagel from here one last time!!! read more

We found this nice little coffee shop while visiting the mountain and water park (from Spokane). It has a great, homey atmosphere that was very inviting. As a bonus, they also carry almond and coconut milk, which is great for us dairy-free people. They even had Yerba mate, which I was also pleasantly surprised about. Although we visited in the winter, it looks like they have a great setup for warmer weather as well. Bonus points for the super friendly barista, the chalkboard where locals prepay for their friends' coffee, and the children's books. The drink was good. They have a huge selection of bagels, ice cream, cereal, oatmeal.. It's cute and quiet. Well decorated and clean. It's a nice place to COME SIT DOWN and have coffee. But if you think you're going to run on and grab a cup to go, think again. I stood in line about 20 minutes to order my coffee with 4 people in line. There was one girl making the coffee and taking the orders. She did a great job, but she definitely needed help. Maybe this wasn't the norm, and someone called in. The drip coffee was the exact same garbage they have in the resort hotel rooms, the latte was just ok, the bagels were tough and chewy with too much cream cheese, the sausage and egg on my breakfast bagel were most definitely not made fresh, though I should have know better on that one. I really enjoy coming here to sit and have some time to myself away from my littles. The staff is always really friendly! It's a nice peaceful environment (with an occasional entertaining person coming in to order a drink). I haven't had any of the food items but their coffee and ice cream prices are reasonable. It's not the best coffee I've had but it's still decent. I also like that they are open into the evening so I can go in on my husbands work days after he gets home. read more
