Got the half knock your lox off on a plain bagel. Good flavor, cream cheese, salty salmon, capers, and pickled onions. If you like your bagels, don't come here tho. The bagel is clearly under baked in my photo which is why other reviews say it's soft. It's not chewy and dense typical of good bagels. I didn't mind too much but it may bother those who really want a good bagel. They also only had 3 types of bagels. I'm not sure if that's the case all the time, but they had plain, Asiago, and jalapeño. The drinks they serve are from Starbucks and come in a Starbucks cup. I didn't get a hot sleeve with my drink so keep in mind if you have sensitive to temperature hands like me. The caramel apple spice was good. Very sweet read more

This was my second time here, and I ordered the lox bagel both times. I really enjoyed it on both occasions! I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. If you're from the Northeast, you might not be blown away by the bagels, but for a West Coast bagel stand, I think the lox bagel is pretty great. The location is also convenient, which is a plus. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey, but overall, I've had a good experience here both times. read more

Came from a separate coffee shop in town because I wanted a bagel, and I was not disappointed. I got the "lox your socks off" with an everything. Bagel was warm the whole way through and very soft. Salmon portion was perfect and the capers seemed to be fried to an extent, the pickled red onions brought a nice tartness to the meal. Very enjoyable. Truly disappointing. Costco bagel for $14. The thinnest smear of cream cheese with and the lox was discolored and unappetizing. Didn't even get onions on one half of the bagel which is really a small detail but it shouldn't have left the restaurant looking like that. The onions were also clearly not fresh and lacked the vibrant color a freshly pickled onion should have. Tried this place on a craving whim and won't be going back unfortunately. For a bagel place in the middle of Idaho this place is fine. Service was good, these reviews seem dramatic. I mean, its a little stand, you ask for food its probably gonna be like prepackaged shtuff. Still searching for bagels. My wife loves good bagels and likes the NY style ones. Hard crust, not fluffy bread. Also fresh. Lakeside Lox stated there was no place in CDA that offered that style until they opened, but sadly they missed the mark. We have gone twice and both times, it was not the NY style. I absolutely love bagels and lox and was very excited to try this spot out after hearing it opened in CDA! Once we found it, we had to wait at the counter for a few minutes as the two staff were a bit behind on orders. While looking at the menu, we realized there's only actually one bagel with smoked salmon on it even though the place is called Lakeside Lox? After ordering, we waited about 20 minutes for 2 bagels; thankfully we were not in a hurry and you could tell the two employees were still learning the ropes of the job so a little extra patience went a long way. When we got our bagels we were very excited to go eat them down by the lake! They were absolutely gorgeous presentation-wise with a lot of color from the salmon and pickled onions. However, once we started eating them, the bagels fell a bit flat in our minds. They use decent ingredients but the finesse and attention to detail is just not there. Sometimes less is more...the cream cheese was very dense and smeared too thick on the bagel, which was warmed but not really toasted. The smoked salmon was a bit too thick as well and was piled on the bagel. The pickled onions did not have much flavor to them other than vinegar so a greater depth of flavor would have been nice. Half of the capers fell off my bagel and I still had enough on the bagel. Usually when I get bagels and lox, I still feel pretty light but satisfied, but with this one it just had too much going on and made me feel heavy. Overall I think this is a great concept but needs some work on execution. If you get the lox bagel, I highly recommend splitting it with someone! read more

Friendly workers and solid bagels. They really load up the toppings! We loved it! Great to take out to eat on the lake!

Great flavor. Abnormally large size size to the bagel itself. The flavor and everything else was spot on. We went with our two young boys and we're more completely unprepared for the setting. It is almost like a stand inside of a mall. No seating or wait staff. If you go with children be prepared for an order and eat on the go. (not fun with a 3&1 yr old) I would go again and again because they are amazing. read more

We had high hopes for this place, but boy were we disappointed. We LOVE hanging out at the CDA Resort and decided to stop at Lakeside Lox one morning for some bagel breakfast sandwiches before we took our daughter to the park. The coffee drinks tasted good, but the bagel sandwiches were not good at all. First off, part of the reason America has an obesity problem is when you serve up a sandwich that is three times the size a normal human can eat. The bagels weren't fresh, we asked for fried eggs on our breakfast sandwiches, and instead got over-easy with yolks that squirted everywhere including all over my pant leg. My sandwich had hashbrowns on it that weren't even cooked. $55 charged and we threw all of the food away. Word of advice for any restaurant that makes sandwiches, make them the proper size so you can at least hold onto them with two hands and eat them normally without having to use a fork and a knife to dismember them. Use fresh ingredients, and make sure everything is cooked properly. read more
