I'm taking a sock class right now, and the instructor, Ann, is great! My only gripe is they don't carry a couple of my favorite fibers, but overall, they have a good selection of fiber. Plus, I understand that you can't please everyone all of the time! Overall, my favorite knitting shop.

I have had 2 previous wonderful experiences with Migala. I called October 15 and asked about…read moreordering more of a previous wood order from many years ago. I wasn't sure if the company was still making the material. I spoke w a woman named Lexi. She said she would get back w me. I called again with the square footage of my room and left the information with the woman who answered the phone. I didn't hear back that week and called again on October 23. I was told that the info was in Lexi's email and that Lexi was "on a well deserved vacation" and was off for her sons birthday. I asked when I should call back. The woman told me "like I said Monday the 31st" (FYI..she never said a date. Just said she was off). I called yesterday, November 3, giving Lexi some time to catch up after her vacation. She answered the phone and asked what I needed. So I went through the whole story. She told me she left me a voicemail (if she did, she left it on wrong number, I have no history of a missed call or of a voicemail from her). She told me the material is discontinued. I asked for the name of my product. She didn't want to look it up. But finally did. And I asked her for the company's phone number (I figured they might know where else I could get something like this or mill it for me...because she suggested they may), she said "you can Google it". I said, no, you can give it to me....she hung up on me. I did call back to talk to a manager and was sent to their normal voicemail. It was approximately 8k worth of hard wood that apparently she didn't want to sell me for some reason. I called the manufacturer and was told that in fact this was not discontinued, they re-mill it all of the time and that they have 8,000 square feet in their warehouse. I called 2 other vendors to check prices and "miracle" they found it and quoted me on the phone right then. So run away from this place. Do not use them.

My friend purchased a painting from there and she talked to one of the painters. I didn't have a chance to talk to any of the painters but I'd love to go again during normal business hours and explore some more. This is a definitely a place worth checking out. Burdick St., and is such an awesome addition to our community. MRC's mission is to encourage and support individuals living with a disability, and through their artWorks branch they do so by mentoring artistic abilities and providing the opportunity to participate in art hops, develop customer skills and earn commissions from artwork sales. We were fortunate that when we purchased a triptych of floral paintings at MRC, the artist who painted our pieces happened to be on hand that evening. She was over the moon delighted to have sold three of her pieces, and the beaming smile on her face is mirrored by my own each time I look at them on my wall. This is always a very busy stop on the Art Hop circuit and it's a joy to interact with the artists.
