My boyfriend and I have been casually looking on and off for a new coffee table for awhile. I had…read moredriven past Stonesthrow many times but had never stopped in. I always thought it was super high end and expensive for some reason. We decided to just browse one Saturday morning and we ended up having a great experience! There is metered street parking in the front of the store, but there's also a large free parking lot behind the building. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had been in before. When we said no, the friendly employee gave us the lay of the land and told us there are three floors to the store and that it's much bigger than it seems from the outside. Totally true! I always thought this store was small, but it's really huge. We started browsing through all the setups and were immediately impressed by the styling of each area and all the different items. They have all kinds of furniture, decorations, and rugs. Prices were clearly marked which I appreciated since it shows they're not trying to hide anything. I was pleasantly surprised that I found quite a few things that would fit into our budget, along with higher-end, more expensive pieces. They also have a clearance section which we looked through. The pieces I saw mostly swayed more modern and a little less traditional, which is more my style anyway. Upstairs we found a coffee table that was a major upgrade from our current table, but still in our budget and actually quite affordable. It has a metal base and a glass/ceramic top that looks and feels like marble. Super sleek and sophisticated! Christine was upstairs and asked if we needed any help. We asked her about the process for purchasing as we wouldn't be able to fit the table into our car. She told us that we could pay for it and come back with a larger vehicle, or we could pay $60 for local delivery. SOLD! I am all about that convenience and for $60 they can pack and carry the pretty heavy table. We paid for our purchase and Christine was super awesome with the whole process. I am so glad we finally stopped in to Stonesthrow and I can't wait to go back! She did say that they also do special orders if you know something you want and they are able to get it in store. Highly recommend looking here instead of Wayfair etc. for a local option. They also provide interior design services!

I love Stonesthrow and their modern furniture. For me though, what's best is their interior…read moredesigners who are there to help you with all of your design needs for your fill project.

I have only a couple of phone calls and one in-store visit as a point of reference, but in all…read morecases the Sharp Shop has been a great resource for me as a new homeowner trying to get a handle on grown-up homeowner things, most particularly "own a functioning mower". They helped me diagnose (correctly, I should add) my engine problems over the phone. When I found I needed a new air filter, they were helpful in checking their inventory over the phone and when I came in to the store to purchase, it was a really quick in-and-out transaction. I could see that they have a number of staff on site to do repairs of all kinds of yard equipment, in the case that you have a more serious problem that requires professional attention. They've got loads of snowblowers, weedwackers, etc. All in all, it seems like a great local business that perfectly fills a niche for homeowners in the area.

I was potentially a brand new customer, and the owner treated me horribly. I called to ask about a…read morespecific part I needed for my STIHL leaf blower, because they are a STIHL dealer. Apparently they sell used equipment parts, and new. When I called, I was trying to price out a new part not knowing about their used parts business. He acted as though I should know that, and seemed put off that I didn't. It's the first time I've ever experienced a dealership of new equipment that has a used parts side business. He said over the phone gruffly that he had at least one, if not many of the exact part I needed in stock. His wording was confusing though. He said "We have the part on site". I asked him what did that mean? Are they at your dealership? On site could mean a warehouse nearby depending on how you look at it. I asked him again "Do you mean at your dealership" ? He said again "On site". He kept repeating "On Site" without explaining. Once I decided to let that confusion go, I assumed he meant at his business, even though I still wasn't 100% sure. He then said it was a part that was normally around $40 new, but he would sell the used part for $20, which he said was 60% off. I didn't argue that it would actually be $16, because based on his attitude at that point I decided to let it go. I told him I was on my way. I was under the impression that the part would be waiting for me when I got there, because he seemed to act like he had his eyes on it when I originally called. So I drove the 20 miles to get there. When I finally got there, there were two nicer younger guys that I was hoping I would be dealing with as far as the transaction went. They were polite and friendly. Unfortunately, the owner was the one I would be dealing with. He didn't greet me, even though I was clearly waiting to talk to him for a few minutes. He just kept working on some customer equipment issue at his work bench for 5 minutes, even though I was standing right by him. Finally I got his attention and reminded him that I came for the part we had talked about. He gruffly started looking for the part that I thought he would have waiting for me when I got there. He spent a few minutes looking, and then told me "There is no part, maybe a flaw in the inventory", and gave me a shrug. I then asked the younger guys if they could look up the part, and see if they had a new one in the store, because I didn't care if it was used or new. As they started looking, I said to the owner "You seemed annoyed with me on the phone, but I really thought you had actually bothered to get the part because you were off the phone with me on hold seemingly looking for it. "Don't tell people you have multiple of a certain part on site when you don't ". He didn't apologize for anything, and acted like it was my fault. He then asked me to get out of his store, yelling like some lunatic. He went from grumpy, to super angry in about 2 seconds. I agree he is technically the king of his castle, and I can tell his workers are afraid of his personality, because they probably had witnessed it many times and started to try and look busy working on anything they could find in front of them. I must say given the situation, I understand mistakes happen, but don't act rude to customers that are only there because of your word in the first place. If your word is no longer honest or trustworthy, time to find some help that can service the phone line properly, and stay out of site of your customers if you seem to hate them that badly. I've never been asked to leave any establishment or business in my entire lifetime, and I'm 50 going on 51. You can be "King Of Your Castle", but understand customers can and will continue to voice their opinion about you and your business. I just noticed this similar thing had happened to another poor customer in the reviews shortly before I witnessed this happening to me. I truly hope you get some help for your obvious anger issues. Everyone has bad days, but this looks like a common reoccurring problem you seem to have looking at some of your reviews. Zero stars.
