Very very disappointed This bar was recommended by a bartender we net earlier today We found free parkkng at the boardwalk to only find this bar locked up tight on a Saturday night

Stopped here one night. Had a jager bomb with G Davis while stopping to use bathrooms on our way to get takeout pizza before heading back to James' condo. They had a white claw machine. Which we pumped about $5 into. Didn't get a can - just a koozy. Which we lost. Was a total dive bar right down from Cork Bar. Cork bar had a line outside so we went in here. Loud hard rock and metal music if you are into it - pool tables for non-COVID times.

A couple of these one star reviews came out of the same group. Seems like someone just wats to damage the business via yelp. I would speculate that if you come in with an attitude, you are likely to get one back. This is a good family run bar. Good drinks, good people and ice cold beer. If you are a reasonable adult, you might just enjoy it here.

Frankly, I have never met a bartender as rude as Chip from the Bearded Clam. Because of his attitude toward my group, I will never step foot in this bar again. When we arrived, we sat at the end of the bar and ordered our drinks. Mind you, the bar was completely empty. When one person in my group ordered a beer, she tried to make conversation with Chip about the can since she had never seen that specific beer in can-form before. He replied with "And your point is?" In an extremely condescending tone. It was rude, disrespectful, and downright degrading. A few minutes later, a couple arrived at the bar and he greeted them immediately and acted friendly towards them the entire time. I have no idea why our group was treated so poorly, as we did nothing to deserve his snarky attitude. Needless to say, I will never visit the Bearded Clam again.

A cool divey beach bar that has been around for a long while. They have a big square bar usually full on special weekends and in the summer. The bartenders are fun especially Mike, spot on in service. They are near the boardwalk have a back area to smoke and billiards. What's not to love? It's the beach and a cool local bar!

A total whole in the wall. But if that's what you're looking for, this is your kind of place. It has a couple billiards tables, a photo booth, pinball, a video game, and an old school cigarette vending machine. A 2 star review is a good thing, for a dive bar.

Back in 2018 I was on vacation in Dewey Beach and one of the days we took an evening to go to Ocean City MD. My former boss at my old job was on vacation in Ocean City MD at the time so I met up with him and his brother and we knew we needed a bar to go to and grab a drink. We found The Bearded Clam near the end of the boardwalk about a block away and we thought it was perfect. The inside was packed to the brim with so many pictures and memorabilia to look at it gave it a nice aesthetic. They also had pool tables too although we did not have time to play. Being early evening it wasn't too crowded and it was like we had the place to ourselves! We sat at the bar and the bar tender was pretty friendly too. We had a few good drinks, talked a great deal and had a great time before going our separate ways. Even if we visited Ocean City MD for the evening, The Bearded Clam was a welcome addition.

perfect, isn't it?

Great food, company, and atmosphere. A favorite spot when coming to Ocean City Md. It's a highlight spot for our vacation.

The hot peppers make it special, but if you can't handle any spice maybe skip them. Anthony's is a nice little store otherwise, with a quality liquor/wine/beer and snack selection. A perfect stop before a long day at the beach.

Equal parts package store and legendary deli counter, Anthony's is an iconic OCMD staple that has perfected the art of beach lunches. History & Ownership Year Opened: The original property traces back to right after WWII as a drive-up stand and fried chicken carryout. The family bought the business in 1965, gradually expanding to add wine in 1970 and merging the store concept in 1982. The Full Deli Debut: In 1987, Anthony's officially expanded into a full-scale deli, which quickly became as famous as its liquor selection. Ownership: Operated as a beloved family-owned business for over 55 years. Awards & Local Acclaim Anthony's frequently earns local accolades--including Best Subs and Best Carryout honors--thanks to its commitment to quality. Rather than skimping on fillings, they load their sandwiches with premium Boar's Head and Citterio meats, freshly sliced cheeses, and house-made salads. The Sandwiches & Fan Favorites Anthony's sandwiches are renowned for their staggering portions. The 12-inch hoagies are packed with over a half-pound of meat and cheese on freshly baked rolls. The Shrimper: A massive sub loaded with house-made Maryland-style shrimp salad, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The Nautilus: A gourmet Italian sub layered with mortadella (with pistachio), prosciutto, sopressata, and provolone. House-Cooked Roast Beef: Tender, rare roast beef sliced thin--a staple that locals swear by. The Flagship: The Crown Jewel If you only order one sub on your trip, make it The Flagship. The Flagship Sub Over 1/2 lb of Genoa salami, capicola ham, pepper ham, and sharp provolone cheese. Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, and spicy hot peppers. Dressed with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano on a 12" freshly baked hoagie roll. It's the quintessential Italian cold-cut sub--salty, tangy, slightly spicy, and sturdy enough to hold up in your beach cooler all afternoon. Pro Tip for Beachgoers When heading to the beach or driving back home, ask the deli staff to assemble your sandwich "semi-deconstructed" (with oil, vinegar, and tomatoes on the side). Your roll won't get soggy, making it taste just as fresh hours later.

We started with a tasting board and chose three cheeses and three meats. It comes with a ton of additional accoutrements. It's a little expensive but worth it to try some fantastic cheese. I had the Cacio e pepe with scallops that was on special. I didn't love the pasta, the sauce was bland despite the peppery flavor but the scallops were well cooked and definitely the best part of the dish. For dessert we did a giant doughnut ice cream sandwich which was the star of the show. Paired with an espresso martini and I was extremely happy to finish off dinner! The service was great, food came out quickly.

It's a refreshing change from the typical boardwalk dining experience. The food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the perfectly seared scallops, rich and flavorful oysters Rockefeller, and a well-prepared steak that was cooked exactly as ordered. The cocktail program was equally impressive, both the martini and Old Fashioned were expertly crafted. As a bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, I particularly appreciated the extensive selection available here. It was nice to find quality whiskey options beyond the sweet, fruity summer cocktails that dominate many Ocean City menus. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely a place we'll return to on future trips.
