This happened to me last year but it still bothers me to this day so I decided to finally post a review about this unacceptable experience. My mother, grandmother, and I came in here one night during our vacation to pick up some drinks. All of us were of legal age and I was aware of the signs that said they do not accept vertical ID, which I had, but it should not have mattered since I was simply accompanying my mother who was the one who wanted to purchase drinks. She picked up some bottles of wine and therefore had no free hands to carry a pack of angry orchard apple ciders, which I carried for her (why would I make my grandmother carry it??) when we approached the counter the lady (who was a middle aged white lady) was extremely rude off the bat and asked for my ID. I happily obliged not thinking there would be an issue since I was only proving I was not a minor, NOT trying to purchase alcohol. The lady immediately accused me of being a minor. My mother said she was the one who would be paying but the lady kept insisting that I was underaged, despite my mother vouching for my age. I found the situation rather racist if I'll be honest because I feel that anyone in a relatively highly populated area should know that Asians tend to age much more slowly than our white counterparts. I would have understood her strictness if not for the fact that my mother and grandmother were present. I was not even the one purchasing the alcohol and I was NOT a minor. She refused to sell the alcohol to my mother because I had "handled" it. We eventually gave up arguing with her because she was just so aggressive and unreasonable. At the end, when we were on our way out, she said "I knew you were underaged, you don't look 21 at all," implying that I had a fake and both my mother and grandmother were in cahoots with me (has she ever met Asian parents??? That's not how they roll lol!) I have never encountered such a bafflingly rude and unnecessarily aggressive situation with purchasing alcohol in my life. Like I said 1) I was of age, 2) with my mother and grandmother, and 3) not even the one purchasing the alcohol. I just don't see how this is acceptable at all. read more

I can't beleive I'm writng a review for a bottle shop but I felt compelled to based on the good service and always a freindly recommendation from the clerk. I apologize for not knowing his name but always has a friendly greeting and a decent tip for a micro brew or a bottle of wine. The location is extremely convenient. Won't come here again. My government issued, active duty military ID was rejected, after rejecting my drivers license. The woman was very rude about it as well. Never have I been refused service with my military ID. Her excuse for not taking it was that it was vertical, even though there's no such thing as a horizontal military ID. Will not return here again. Horrible selection as well. read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I walked up to the counter with my wife behind me. The guy immediately called over the manager without asking for my Id. The manager then requested my ID. Happily gave it to her and I tried to pay for the beer. She would not except my money until she scanned my wife's ID ( some one who did not touch the beer or anything and she is 26) we showed her the ID but she still refused to sell us the beer until it was scanned. I'm confused with there store policy I was buying the beer not my wife. She told us it is their policy that the youngest person in the group have their license scanned. I will never go here again and I hope no one else does. I hope they go out of business because they were very rude to all of the customers in the store. read more
