I've been here a few times and never have I ever left without a few bottles. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, especially within the wine realm. I have to begin by thanking my sister and brother in-law for sharing their spot with me. This little gem is just that, a gem. We went for cocktails and nosh - neither disappointed me. The 'Friends' or ' Cheers' environment that has been created is by far what I loved the most and the food, the service and the simple menu all top notch. Well, it's funny how fast the liquor goes when you are partying hard, day(and night) drinking at the beach campsite! Once again a fellow camper knowledgeable of the area had suggested West O Bottle Shop for our dilemma. Conveniently located in West Ocean City ( hence the name) it was a traffic free 20 min drive from our campsite. The store is bright, airy, clean and well laid out. The staff were all very helpful. I wanted to get the Caribbean liqueur treat Rumchata for our hostess at the camp. Readily available in Miami, I wasn't sure if I could find it in eastern Maryland, but West O had it. They had a wide selection of beer as well, such as OC's own Fin City. Something I haven't seen before was a bar inside(!) the store. I wish I'd had more time I'd have liked to have tried it! The store also sells alcohol related accessories. My fave was the liquor flask disguised as suntan lotion;) I'm taking off a star because of the prices. I'm not sure why, but when I'm in NY, NJ, and now Maryland the prices for alcohol are considerably higher than Miami, in this case a 1.75L of Tito's was $7 higher. Still, the atmosphere in general at West O would earn a return visit if I'm up this way again. read more

I am absolutely delighted at how wonderful this spot is!! My husband and I have driven by it a lot of times, but, finally decided to stop tonight. I'm SO glad that we did!!! The wine, beer and spirit store is adorable! Not only is there a huge array of choices in spirits, but, also memorabilia and fun trinkets that are wine, beer, etc. related. Might I also add that this place is VERY inexpensive... I mean a pick your own 6 pack of CRAFT AND LOCAL beer for $11?! Best value and best ambiance in west OC! As we are "part time locals", we plan to come back here each time during our future monthly visits! The back bar is cozy and chill and Shelly, the bartender, is Amazing!!!! One of the better beer selections I've seen this side of the bridge, perhaps Thee best. Aslin, EQ, Cushwa, Levante, etc. -- all around strong to quite strong and the prices are what you would expect, maybe a dollar or two more depending on the brew. Liquor shelves were a little light but it is a Saturday evening in OC during one of the last weekends of the summer. The variety they did have (tequila) however, was again, very solid. There are only a few places I've known to carry Casa Dragones and they are the only place I know of down here. If I lived around here I doubt I'd go anywhere else. Well done guys, KTSU. Fantastic craft beer shop in Ocean City. Solid selection of craft beer, wine, and liquor at fair prices. I do wish the single selection was bigger. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great beer selection that is *not* catered to the let's buy a case of beer for the teenagers or the carbonated water crowd (Bud, Coors, Miler etc.....no offense intended). The selection is probably the best on the beach, and the staff is knowledgeable. Did I mention that they have the same outrageous selection of wine, too? Worth the trip out of the city, or even better hit them up on your way in. You'll find something you love, or the staff will direct you to try something new. Very cool spot. We stopped in to buy some beer for our camping trip and we were pleasantly surprised at the store. It is very clean and open. There is a great selection of decent wines and craft brews at reasonable prices. They have everything from local/regional to international to organic. Very nice! There is even a bar to drink at inside and a variety of drink ware, cheeses, crackers, etc. This can definitely be a one stop shop on your way to a party! We will definitely go back. The owner is also very friendly and personable. read more
