I have probably been a client at Northern Hills Dental for the past 7 years. I really have not a…read morebad thing to say about them and their service during most of the 7 years, except one time when one of the hygienists was quite 'rough' in the cleaning process that resulted in some pain during and after the appointment. Recently, however, I have noticed that they have been quite tardy in their appointment schedules. For the second time in recent memory, I have waited in excess of 35 minutes for my appointment (the first occurrence was much longer than 35 minutes), not including the time I waited before my scheduled appointment time (I always try to arrive early for my appointments). This defeated the purpose of me getting off work a half hour early so that I can get all dental work done before my following dinner commitment. I am not sure how often this happens at Northern Hills Dental but it has happened to me twice. If I were repeatedly late 30 minutes for my appointments, I am sure they would have told me to reschedule. I understand that there are sometimes circumstances that could have extended the appointment before me but that could have been avoided by properly estimating the amount of time it takes for each appointment. For example, extra time should be set aside for children dental appointment. I know that is the case with my toddler... it always takes longer than scheduled. I understand that the delay for them to see me was because they were in the middle of a procedure for a child that took longer than they had allowed for. However, this is the type of repeated experience that causes client to go elsewhere regardless of the reason.

For example I have receding gums and I always jump a mile through the roof when dental hygienists are cleaning my teeth and they hit a raw nerve but today I had an amazing cleaning with Angela who just went above and beyond and coated my receding gums with a highly technical new product that doesn't hurt or smell or taste at all but it protects me and made it a pain free cleaning. My teeth feel and look perfectly clean thank you so much Angela for your time and attention to detail and I will definitely be back.!!!!!!

Not only did we get the chance to meet and greet, but they even had a "Fun" free introduction day for kids. They did the office up in Dr. Seuss theme, with a free goodie bag (including a full Dr. Seuss book!), tour of the dental chair and tools, face painting, craft stations and much more. Although Springbank Dental is quite a bit of a drive out of my way, Dr. Szott and his staff make it worthwhile. I am actually wanting to transfer over myself from my close to home dentist. However, my second experience I went to get 2 small fillings just to fill 2 small gaps in my teeth, no numbing or freezing was done, and they did a great job. I was very satisfied until they told my small fillings costed $900!!!! And with my coverage that covers 80% it costed $256 for not even an hour of tiny fillings to fill in a gap, with no freezing used! Excellent service, but absolutely ridiculous prices!! Only come here if you're willing to break your bank.
