Since it was the first one, I thought that probably I would have to fill in some forms and I decided to arrive earlier at 5:15pm. When I arrived, the office was closed with a post-it on the door mentioning "I will come back at 5:45pm". I thought it was weird if my appointment was at 5:30pm but I decided to wait. The office is at the second floor on a building with no AC at the hallways and I did have a face mask so it was very annoying due to the hot. Then, at 5:40pm another client came and told me she did have an appointment at 5:45pm. So, when I explained to her than I had been waiting for a while she called the owner and she told her we were both there. This customer told me that she preferred calling her because the first time she went there the same thing happened to her and the owner had completely forgotten about her appointment as well. When the owner came back, she didn't even bother to apologize and she just asked the other lady to go inside instead of me who at that point had been waiting for more than 30 minutes! When I asked her about my appointment, she just told me what I was explaining was "impossible" because she did book my appointment for 6pm and that she went out at 5:30pm (seriously?! When she had done the same to the same other client on her first appointment as well? And when I had been there since 5:15pm?). In few words, after all the wait she just implied I was lying about the time of my appointment, as well as all the time I had been waiting there and she didn't even apologize. Just told me that because I did have to fill in some forms (almost at 6pm), the other customer was going first. I was VERY frustrated so I decided to find another place to go. They are trying to oversell more filler treatment then actually necessary and will point out things on your face that don't need to be fixed. Every review, website etc mentions and praises "Megan, the model". This lady's photos on the clinic's website are ridiculous (pretending to be fashion shoots when clearly being amateur). i purchased the groupon for a glow express facial . it was a big discount ($39 instead of over…read more$100) but since it was an "express" facial i thought it would be 30-45 mins ; it actually ended up being over an hour which was great . i was a bit apprehensive about the word "klinic" not because of the spelling but because i was hoping that although it wasnt a spa that it would still be relaxing and not too ... "clinical" ;) turns out i was totally in luck . martina was very warm , relaxed and welcoming , and she seemed genuinely interested in my skin . it was a very nice space , and the atmosphere in the room where she performed the facial was well-appointed , comforting and serene . she didnt try to upsell me on any extra treatments , didnt push any products on me , and in fact gave me a recommendation for something that i can buy at the drugstore . it was so refreshing to deal with someone who was helpful and honest it was one of the best parts of the experience ! as for the actual facial , i have to admit that this was the first one ive ever had , but i am a pretty critical gal in general so despite my lack of experience if she werent a pro i would have noticed . it was , from what i understand , a typical but well-executed routine of cleansing , steam , extractions , mask , toning and moisturising . i have read in other reviews of facials that some people are put-off by having the esthetician leave the room during parts of the treatment . this didnt bother me at all ; she left the room twice for 10 minutes each time ; during the steam and during the mask , and i found it very nice and peaceful . i actually think i would find it awkward to have the esthetician stay in the room in silence with you for 10 minutes ! all in all , this was a really great experience for me and i already bought my sister the same deal as a gift ! i am hoping to return in the future and will recommend martina to anyone looking for a kind and skilled esthetician :)
