She went WAY too short. She didn't take spring up into consideration. This was her comment. On the other occasion the cut was poor. The stylist was seemingly unfamiliar with thick hair and the layering was lacking. I left looking like a puffy triangle and needed to go for a repair cut at a salon in Brunswick. The repair cut was $45 where as the Shear Artistry cut was $70. before the tip. Yes. I tipped. The stylist was a sweet person but lacking in skill, at least with my hair.

She got her first haircut at Hair Styles and Attitudes when she was 1 and was excited to come back here for the pre-wedding cut. Being an unvaccinated kid, after booking the appointment we were hoping for reassurance that the staff was vaccinated. When I asked off hand, assuming they were, I was told that no, not all staff were vaccinated. From my past experience, and from my family's hundreds of visits over the years, this is a great spot for a haircut. I wanted to share this update in case it helps parents of children who are too young to be vaccinated, or folks are immunocompromised or in another at risks group. I can't speak to their mask policy, but was told if we wanted to wear masks, we could (no comment on the staff wearing masks). Hope that's helpful, and again, once we come out of the pandemic I'd highly recommend this business for their haircuts.

The salon space itself is also super clean and inviting with welcoming staff!
