I had been going to one of these salons for at least 3 years. Her suite is currently located in the plaza across H-Mart and 24 Hour Fitness off of Balboa Ave in a secured building on the second floor. Her suite is cozy for Miss Kelly, her client, and the equipment she needs. I highly recommend Ms. Kelly and her services - both to those who are sensitive to pain, and even the "veterans" who have learned to "tough it out." Before booking, please take the time to read her website. You will notice that her pricing is higher than the regular waxing/sugaring establishments. This is because she takes her time prepping you and doing the wax itself, which is also why your appointment will be longer (this varies, of course). This is why the pain level is much more tolerable, and makes the price worth it. It has been a while since my first appointment with Ms. Kelly, but I have returned several times since. The real concern is that the practice then expects patients to pay a $250 consultation fee just to find out what the service may actually cost. I fully understand that a physician needs to evaluate anatomy, goals, product choice, and treatment planning before giving a final recommendation. But for common self-pay cosmetic injectables, a medical practice should be able to provide baseline pricing, including consultation fees, per-syringe pricing, and realistic treatment ranges before asking someone to pay for a consult. The staff member I spoke with was polite, and this review is not about the doctors' clinical skill. The physicians may be excellent. My concern is with the business policy and the lack of upfront pricing transparency. As someone who has worked in healthcare for many years, I found this approach troubling. Patients should not have to pay $250 just to get basic pricing information for a commonly performed cosmetic service. It creates mistrust and makes the financial side of the practice feel opaque and unfair. I chose not to move forward because I did not feel comfortable with the pricing process. I had gotten laser on my stomach before from another clinic and it did not work. I was pretty upset so I went ahead and got electrolosis and it went away. I came to Sev with low expectations due to my previous laser experience at the other clinic. I walked in and I was not greeted by the front desk receptionist. I signed in with the Ipad. After my laser treatment- the front desk receptionist told me I was supposed to sign in with her... well you did not greet me when I walked in and you asked all the other patients in there to sign in with the IPad so I followed the lead since it is my first time here and I have no clue what I am supposed to do. Anyways- I got my treatment done. My nurse was amazing. I wasn't expecting this to work. But it has been 2 weeks and my hair is ACTUALLY starting to fall out. I never experienced this at the last clinic.... Anyways- I would absolutely love to buy a package for the 1.5 years, but I just started a testosterone treatment that will make me hairy and my doctor advised me to old off on laser right now.
