I've had great friendly experiences with some nurses and some at front desk like Sara, Amora. But this weekend, Ariana at the front desk was very unfriendly and was constantly messing with my session schedule. On top of that she managed to pass things (her story) over to the nurse, who was giving me unsolicited advice! Please understand : Business is about building relationships with people. You don't need to be overly nice but some basic understanding and helpful approaches goes a long way ! Especially with your clients! UPDATE: This is actually the worst establishment I've ever done business with in my life. I reached out via email per the response to my first review and finally received a call back (from what I can only describe as a corporate robot who had 0 intention of helping me resolve the issue). All I was offered was a discounted package for more services to try and fix what they won't admit was their fault. After going back and forth for 15 minutes, I asked why he even called back if they had no intention to try and make it right and he said "because you asked for a call" to which he then proceeded to end the call. My first experience at LaserAway was great--my nurse was kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel totally comfortable during my CoolSculpting treatment. I had also planned to get lip injections, which I've had done before (just not at this location), but was advised to wait since I had a dentist appointment the next day. I appreciated that advice and rescheduled for two days later. However, when I showed up for my new appointment--after waiting an hour and paying for parking--I was told I needed to wait two weeks due to my dental filling. I was frustrated because that filling had already been discussed at the first visit, and the appointment had been moved around because of it. It felt like a lot of my time and money were being wasted due to poor communication. After waiting the two weeks, I called the morning of my rescheduled appointment (which was the day before Easter) to ask if my 4-year-old could sit in the room with me. I was told over the phone that it was "absolutely no problem." When I arrived and waited another hour, a nurse finally came out and curtly told me that children were not allowed, and suggested my son wait in the lobby alone, which obviously isn't acceptable for a 4-year-old. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. I'm grateful that the office manager was kind, patient, and professional. He apologized, acknowledged the miscommunications, and offered me a free facial--not because I was looking for a freebie, but because he recognized how much time I'd lost and how I had been treated, especially around the situation with my son. I came back the next day to finally get my lip injections and facial. I was five minutes late (which I take full responsibility for), and was told they hoped the nurse wouldn't have to rush my treatment. That comment didn't sit well, considering everything that had already happened. To be fair, there were a few standout staff members: the office manager, one of the front desk receptionists, and the women who did my lip injections and CoolSculpting. They were all lovely. But overall, the experience has felt very inconsistent. I've spent a good amount of money here and was hoping to continue with more treatments, but now I'm hesitant. I got cheek filler done at the LaserAway in San Diego (Town Center Dr) and I'm honestly heartbroken with the results. I went in specifically asking for a sculpted, defined look in my cheekbones that I made vary clear if this could not be achieved then to simply not inject me, and was told that placing the filler at the front of the cheekbone would achieve that. I trusted their expertise. Two months later, I can confidently say this is not what I received. My face now looks puffier, rounder, and chubbier--not sculpted at all. I gave it time thinking it might just be swelling, but nothing changed. It's clear the filler was not placed properly, and it's really affected my confidence. Instead of feeling better about my appearance, I feel worse than before I walked in. I paid $800 for something that made me feel self-conscious and disappointed. It's givinggggg SCAM! If LaserAway makes an error on your account it is going to be a nightmare trying to get it corrected because apparently there are no supervisors at the LaserAway locations and they refuse to transfer you to the people who can actually correct issues. A LaserAway rep contacted me and got me all squared away with a promotional quote. I purchased 8 CoolSculpting applications but only 4 applications were loaded to my account. I noticed this a few months after I used 4 applications. I called on 4/16/2025 to get this corrected. It took much longer than it should have because the receipt erroneously showed only 4 applications which did NOT match my quote. On 4/16 | called in to the LaserAway Hillcrest location and the receptionist there told me that she saw the misalignment and that it would be taken care of next business day. A month later, I see that it's still not taken care of. On 5/22/2025 | called in again because the 4 applications were not showing on my account. Here's where it gets wild - I called the Hillcrest location, they passed me off to the La Mesa location. The La Mesa receptionist tells me that she can't fix it and she can't transfer me to someone who can fix it. She says that I can call ANY other location to get help. I call the Hillcrest location back and she legitimately tells me "the rep who quoted you this price is the only one who can fix it and she's on leave so you can call back in 2 months." Then she has the AUDACITY to offer another promotion to purchase 8 more applications LIKE WHAT!?!? After I have a good laugh she says that she can have the "directors" call me back tomorrow (5/23). Surprise, Surprise it's 6/02 and no call back or email reply from anyone. I did get a very unhelpful, empty Yelp message from yet another LaserAway employee who can have zero effect on my issue. 6/12/2025 - still no communications from LaserAway. Called corporate and spoke to a "Lead Treatment Specialist" And she said she would pass it along to corporate and someone would reach out in 5 business days. Well here we are going into July and still nothing! LaserAway apparently is set up so that only corporate can help you but then "corporate" is unreachable. Unfair business practices to say the least. Trying to steal clients money for services not rendered. I went to my bank and it took 6 weeks but my back charge was ultimately successful. I was angry enough to file small claims if that hadn't resolved it. And I hate court. I was actually that motivated by this place. To spend my time and effort on an actual court claim. This company isn't in the business of cosmetic procedures. The primary focus is to steal your money. I purchased one syringe of lip filler for $650, changed my mind, canceled within the 24 hours - and they wouldn't give me a refund. Even tho they turned around and sold my unused syringe to the next sucker that walked through the door. Mind you, they were so insistent that I do some FaceTime consult and I didn't like how pushy they were about it so I declined - come to find out they like to use the 30 second FaceTime consult as a $450 "consultation" charge in instances like mine where people decide not to go thru with it. Then their worst case scenario is refunding the difference. So if I would've done the 30 second FaceTime consultation- that's what they were going to try to claim. An almost $500 offset. Don't do it- there's a great doctor within a mile and her name is Victoria Brandish - the Brandish Clinic. She's professional and likable - and offers all the same services but with the latest updated equipment. Steer clear from here. Then I did some research while they had me angry, and they're being sued for being what all the bad reviews on here claim they are. You won't feel good doing business here. All these unhappy people on here, I suggest you go to your financial institutions, try to do chargebacks - and if that doesn't work, you should organize and get an attorney. Side note... if you're needing tattoo removal I just bought the laser at NeatCell for $142 - see pic. Do it yourself. Save your money. I went to this location about a year and half ago and my low review isn't because of the staff, who I liked a lot. It's their lasers and the company policies! I spent $4800.00 for hair removal on my upper body. I only needed my arms done and some spotty areas on my back and shoulders which was not heavy on hair at all. I was talked into doing the entire upper body because it was "cheaper" and they don't do spot treatments. I was given an extra session for a special they had, meaning I had (9) sessions for my $4800.00 purchase. Each session requires a six-week gap in between so the hair can cycle back which I was diligent doing. In addition, each session is 90 mins of uncomfortable "shocks" the entire time. Half my sessions the laser was at the maximum setting and the first few were lower and gradually raised. None-the-less, I went through all nine sessions which took approximately 54 weeks. It's now been about a year since my last treatment, and I decided to write this review to save anyone from wasting your money or at least be warned before purchasing any laser hair removal from Laser away. The photos are current and only half my hair was removed and what was left grew in thicker. When I told the rep at Laser away I was extremely unhappy with the results and regretted spending $4800 and wanted to know what my options were. I was told I had to buy another package and that my situation happens but it's uncommon. Guess what, it happened, and you would think if it's uncommon how hard is it to offer free treatments for those of us it happens to??? Because it really isn't putting the company out if it's a "rare occurrence" right? Not a chance!!! I was told I had to buy another package of three sessions at a "discounted rate" of $1078.65 and it was normally $2397.00. Like I was getting some kind of deal. I have a small tattoo on my ankle I wanted removed. It's old so the red & orange had already faded to almost my skin color & I was left w/ wanting the black & green color removed. Understanding fully that green is the hardest color to remove I went ahead & bought the recommended 10 package laser treatment for this. After now 15 treatments; each treatment w/ a different technician, a different opinion, & different recommendation, I am left after the almost 3 yr process w/ all green still in place (not even slightly broken up) and the black only faded. Not that I want pain but my friend went elsewhere & left each time w/ blisters from her laser removal, & her tattoo removal looks amazing. I never once even blistered or bled after 15 treatments. I should also mention during my treatments they got a 'new & better' laser machine will still did nothing so I feel like the old machine clearly was a joke to begin with. A total rip off. When I said I was disappointed about the results they asked if I was wanting my tattoo fully removed!!! Seriously?! Look back at your notes and why I did 15 treatments!!! Horrible! I was lied to by a salesperson named Candy to get the sale. I talked to her about 4 times in a two week period. I was going to get co2 laser resurfacing and she talked me out of it. She said that their rf micro needling would do the same thing but it would take longer kind of like peeling an onion. I paid over 3k for their treatments and my chest looks worse. The manager? From laser away in Carlsbad told me to finish my treatments then they'll see what they can do. After my last treatment I got a call from an A hole from their corporate office whose purpose was to gaslight me. Not willing to do anything for me at all. Spoke gibberish. Forked tongue I know there are many many people who have been screwed over by them. I say class action suit needs to happen. They are a bunch of swindlers. Don't like that I had a different nurse almost everytime. Didn't like the way I was treated for probably half of the 6 sessions. They basically took me for my money. On top of it the rep Candy deleted all of her texts when she found out I was complaining that things were getting worse not better. What she didn't count on is that I screen shot everything because I'm not stupid. Don't let this establishment swindle you out of thousands of dollars. They have a bad reputation. The staff here are excellent, and the nurses are amazing! The girls at the front desk are always so sweet and helpful! I love coming in to LaserAway and always look forward to my treatments. I've done the Clear & Brilliant about 8 times, as well as laser hair removal, and Botox. I've had incredible results with all oft treatments, especially after 3-4 facials, my skin really started to look better than I thought possible! Especially because I had a ton of superficial scarring that looks completely gone at this point, I don't even feel like I need to wear make up at this point. I've had two terrible experiences my last two appointments for my laser hair removal, I just wanna say I love the nurses here and I appreciate them all, but my past two appointments have been canceled or changed without my consent within 24 hours of my appointment. My first one was canceled and I literally had to wait six extra weeks to get in. That's how busy they are.. my next one is for tomorrow, my appointment time was moved up from 11:30 AM to 10:45 AM without my consent or approval, I have a job and meetings already scheduled tight ... but I don't want to cancel because then I'll have to wait another six weeks to get in there. When I call to ask what is happening I am diverted straight to the LaserAway customer service center and they tell me there's nothing I can do ... at least direct me to someone who can hear my complaints and try and make it better, I've called the center three times now and they all say the same thing "There's nothing they can do" I'm not sure if it's this specific LaserAway or if this happens at other locations as well, but I will definitely be looking for other laser hair removal companies to work with. I'm not happy at all with this customer service . We talked about the different treatments that they had and what I wanted and then they had a RN call me back to go over the different procedures. I ended up having the Thermage on my face today and the whole service was amazing . The girls at the front, the cleanliness and the good vibe to the establishment in a whole was awesome the woman that gave me my treatment her name was Grace H. And she was lovely. She was patient. The people who work here are very nice. They do a good job with laser removal. The downside is the constant rescheduling of appointments. They book you in on your first appointment with no problem. But from your second appointment onwards, they will constantly move around your appointment time (possibly in order to schedule first timers in your place). So if you're going to book, make sure you don't have anything else planned that day. Besides from this, the people are nice and good at their jobs. The prices seem to be pretty average. i really love all the front desk staff and technicians here, but i have had issues with pricing and packages. i received a discount through email, and was instantly called by a representative. i explained to them that i currently am paying for laser for underarms, lower legs, and brazilian, and that i would like to add upper legs. they told me they understood and would handle that for me, explained basic prices and sent me forms to sign. i am now paying that extra charge, but instead of getting both halves of my legs done, i have double the "half leg" packages, which i was told is NOT the same as the "full leg" package, and that i cannot get "two half legs" done in the same session. That is confusing to me because in kindergarten i learned one half + one half = one full ( .5 + .5 =1) but apparently not in this case. Half a year later, i still have been unable to get my full legs done. again, i love all the service i've had with ALL of the in-person staff, but i am extremely unhappy with the packages and how much i have been paying when i didn't get what i expected/wanted. read more

Taylor reached out from corporate and cut me off during a reasonable discussion, behaved immaturely and did not respond to my peer refund request. She insisted my Botox bank purchased FOR ME BY MY MANAGER AS A BONUS would get refunded to his card! Unacceptable and not legally allowed. The bank belonged to me and only me. I purchased banks of of Botox and clear and brilliant for years. I referred 14 guests. This office has HIGH turnover by young inexperienced staff and I am a professional in the med spa and physician space. It feels like a Barbie doll sorority party. They don't take constructive criticism professionally. I paid for clear and brilliant and had severe acne and burns and they told me it was "purging". They are holding thousands of dollars of mine hostage and not releasing my refund according to the law. They fired me as a guest because of a 100% fabricated story created by a 21 year old front desk attendant who took THREE hours for our Botox appointment and we are extremely busy real estate investors and developers. I've never had a problem with them until now after all these years. I know nurses who worked for them and they said it was a nightmare. I want a full refund for all services paid for on my account immediately and your management, staff, customer service team and legal department are ignoring my reasonable business requests of a legally due refund to me. I don't know want to have to escalate this further and further but I am being left no choice. Ignoring a client who is owed money and has scars from your machines is not wise. I was getting laser here a year ago and I never wrote a review, but the front desk here was horrible. There was on girl that worked here I don't know her name but she was blonde. I asked if I could do a small area instead of full arms and just do half arms. (Which is less work and less area than what I paid for) I was told by her because I got that area added on for free I could take off full arms for half.(I got it for free because I spent $3,000 on treatments) I told her I've paid for my services here and I was very interested in changing that area due to a tattoo being on my upper arm. She then pulls out a piece of paper and a pen and proceeded to write down "full arms-free" and the other areas I paid for. I told her I understand what I've paid for as it was over $3,000 I was simply asking to be accommodated due to my tattoo. She tells me no we never do that and you got that area for free. I left very upset and feeling condescended by her. I called hillcrest laser away and they not only accommodated my request but apologized on behalf of her behavior. I had to go in for one last appointment at La Jolla. I walk in and it's the same girl. I go to the restroom as I'm coming out, I here her talking about me to the girl next to her, saying how I tried to switch out an area and how I'm a b*tch" I then walk out and she immediately stops talking. I have never felt so uncomfortable and disrespected in a customer service environment. I hope she doesn't still work there but I would recommend for this business to make sure their front desk staff doesn't have anger issues or is capable of dealing with people face to face daily. read more
