I called Preferred Arbor immediately to get the tree scheduled and was given a complete bullshit story that he lost his certification to come within 10 feet with his bucket..what??? Your a tree company, seriously??? He lied to us about Potomac Edison and lied again about his certification..said he'd do it in January...no I called Luis at LC Tree service..he came within an hour for an estimate and could take the tree down that week. His price including the stump removal was amazing..they worked thru the 90+ weather, cleaned up as they went..did I mention this was close to a 100 foot pine tree?? They worked endlessly to get it done and then came back the third day to put the fence back up. I can't thank him and his guys enough for doing a fantastic job..we are going to have a new fence put up and he will be the person we go to..so many neighbors watched as the tree came down and all want the name of "our tree guy" Thank you again Luis!! Once we had a chance to review he and the crew were off and running. The overall job done is simply amazing. We had them clean up our front yard (it looks nice now!!!) and remove a tree. I was reluctantly considering removing them and had gotten two quotes to do so. When I met with the arborist Tim Zastrow, who is certified to do tree risk assessments, he was able to come up with a plan to stabilize the trees with rods and cables and prune them to keep most of the canopy weight on the side opposite the house. The crew who came to do the work was great. They were polite and professional in every way. They reached out to Tim when there was a little uncertainty about which limbs to prune. They were knowledgeable and worked as a well-established team to get the job done. As soon as the first rod was placed, I felt a wave of relief knowing that I had found the appropriate balance between safety, cost and tree removal. The cables in the canopy are all but invisible and the rods are not obtrusive. The plan cost less than 1/3 of the lowest estimate I received to remove the trees. And most importantly, I still have the trees! All in all, next time I would call Bartlett Tree Service first!
