This location has also been undergoing "renovations" for the looongest time, so I was really excited to see the changes. What a disappointment! Here are the changes that I observed: freshly painted exterior (it was a botched job at first, but now it looks as though they fixed that up!), new, lower shelves that run vertically - as opposed to the older, higher shelves that were horizontal (probably more for loss prevention), and an enclosed Beer Fridge which was shit! Shit because there didn't seem to be a larger selection and there were A LOT of missing/upside down price tags in the wrong spot. After all these months of room temp beer and chef shelves, I just expected MORE. Seems like the typical use of government money though, slow and inefficient! Hopefully they're not finished yet, but honestly, other than reorganising, I think they're done with the construction and, as a customer, it didn't really make much of a difference.

This store needs employees to trust their customers more and just check if they are telling the truth, because this behaviour of nickel and diming people off money they may need for basic groceries of certain employees just encourages people to exxagerate their can counts, and I save them time by counting before I even leave. One is to drop off your empties, another is the cooler section and the third is check-out. Young and friendly staff, they did a good job at stressing customer service to their employees. The place doesn't smell of booze like some of the other seedy locations. Bonus is that it's close to my work. So on the way home, grab a cold one!
