There are sooooooo many comic books scattered around that I'm pretty sure Wade doesn't even know what he has. Sure, sifting through all that inventory can be overwhelming, but that's part of the fun. Each trip is different as the staff uncovers and prices additional stock from the shipments of yesterday (and yesteryear). So, it's like a race against time to see what gems you can find before they even realize what they have! Allow yourself plenty of time, though, because it is very easy to get lost for hours as you comb through the bins and boxes of eras and stories gone by. But that's why I love it. Unfortunately, there are some things I wish they could do better... like with their pricing, which isn't always consistent. Some books aren't labeled or in a designated price box. So then you're left up to the discretion of whoever works the cash register that day to determine what they want to charge for it. I also used to be a big fan of their VIP program, which, for $15, offered some discount on almost everything in the store. Plus, a $10 credit on your birthday month. So it paid for itself and then some. But as I recently learned in my last few visits, this isn't always the case. It's really left up to the discretion of whoever is working the register that day whether or not they want to honor it. ‍ But the staff is still very polite and helpful and I do enjoy coming here. It's one of the better comic stores in the region and has been that way for years. If you're in the area, check it out!

The store itself is relatively small, but then again, most comic stores ARE small. But do not be deceived, good reader. The number of books housed at Comic Relief is quite a lot! The owner is always courteous. But he doesn't say very much if anything at all. Which can be a good thing if you're an introvert, I suppose. :) Overall, this place is excellent for finding the latest releases and even hard-to-find variant covers. However, it's not the best for back issues or quality of issues, for that matter. If it hasn't come out within that same week, expect to find bent corners, spine ticks, and spine wear galore on most of the books. It's not that people are beating the books to hell. It's actually the racks on which they sit, which tend to be simple wire shelves with gaps in them, that the books fall victim to. The wood shelf system on the back wall is much more efficient. However, the way the books tend to be packed on those shelves can also give way to an epic collapse knocking several books to the floor in a matter of seconds. Yikes! And yes, I did see that happen on a number of occasions.

This store has it all - collectables, toys, video games (just about any console), board games, cards, physical media (movies and music), etc. If you love physical media (movies) like I do, this place has quite a selection - from VHS to blu ray. It's alphabetical too, which is a really nice bonus. There is quite the selection of titles and they're always restocking new selection. I left with a sizable pile to add to my collection. There's also a pretty large selection of music CDs as well. The video game wall is huge - a large variety of titles for most systems. From collectables and figures to toys from multiple decades, there's a little something for everyone. The owner is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. There's a municipal parking in the rear and some street parking. I don't live in the area, but will certainly be back here again down the line. Highly recommended.

Told them about it they said they only get their inventory from authorized sellers and they could teach me how to spot a fake well I've been collecting for awhile so i know. They carry a lot of the big three (MTG, YGO, Pokemon) but they also have some sports cards and other IP's like One Piece, DBZ, and Star Wars. They also have some rare comics and collectibles like Funko Pops. Their rarer cards at the front desk are priced pretty reasonably but it well depend on the market & availability. Don't expect to find many booster boxes, ETBs, or starter decks here though. The staff is pretty helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. It feels like they know their regulars and I always feel welcome unlike some shops where the staff doesn't even look at you if they think you won't buy anything, or silently judge you for not knowing something. Even on their busiest days they check on every customer to see if they need any help. If you're into competitive play they hold events in-store pretty regularly and they also hold release events.

Heroes is easy to get to and has a large assortment of both new releases and back-issue comic…read morebooks. Especially new releases that are sold out or hard-to-find variants. I didn't see a lot of "sports" stuff there, if any, really. But there was a good amount of Funko Pops, trading cards, and other related collectibles if you're into that sort of thing. I'm only here for the comics. Overall, it's a place that I can easily pop into on my way home but can get lost in for hours just by combing through the dollar bins and searching for hidden gems. The owner is friendly, courteous, and always fun to talk with. You can tell that he loves collecting. (A "problem" that all of us in the comic community seem to have haha) My only gripe is that the condition of some of the dollar books and back issues should be looked at more carefully. Some are not quite as good as I thought they were when I purchased them. I only discovered this later on after taking them out of the bag. But for the low prices on some of them, I really can't complain.

As we walked in I felt like I was a teenager myself - a trip for sure down memory lane. The selection of vinyls and memorabilia was amazing - and Randy was such a great person to meet and talk with. He had such awesome stories to share with my grandson and I. If you are a music lover or collector take the time to visit this store - you won't be disappointed. Super welcoming, no pretension, just real love for music. The clientele was friendly too. We ended up having some great conversations with other diggers about what we were flipping through, which always makes a record store visit memorable. The selection was better than I anticipated, with a really solid mix of new and used records, and the prices were more than fair. Highlight of the visit: scoring a near-mint copy of the 1977 first pressing of Foreigner. Couldn't have been more fitting to buy it today, with "Cold As Ice" on the tracklist and a windchill of -8 outside, it felt meant to be. If you're anywhere near Levittown, PA and love records, Positively Records is 100% worth the stop. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
