This was a brilliant concoction of taco meat, briskett,brisket, red onions, and sour cream. And if you like a bit of heat, it also comes with jalepenos. All of it is a riff on loaded fries except tator tots are used instead. The portion size was quite nice, the workers were very friendly, and the dish arrived quickly despite the steady line of people placing orders. Looking forward to visiting the truck again and enjoying other variations on their menu.

I wanted to let the line die down a bit since I had my kids running around all over. Lucky for me, it eventually did. After a very short wait, I was lucky to snag the last serving of the Totsy Gyro. A friend had suggested it. Many of the other menu items had already sold out. It was delicious!!! The gyro meat was very tender. All of the toppings added just the right flavors and I loved the addition of tots mixed in. Definitely looking forward to eating food from them again.

Lots of questions with our group and the young waitress is kind and helpful. She brings waters and then had to go through the list of drinks because they are not printed on anything. We got a Trio for the table. Trio is chips and salsa (mild and hot) queso and guacamole. The chips were thick and crunchy. When we ran low she filled us back up. We got our orders in. Quesa Birria Tacos for hubby and I to share. Only 3 Tacos but we knew we were going to share a light meal. I had not had them before. The aus just sauce for a taco blew my mind. I like Angus beef and dipping sauce. Who doesn't? They were really good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The kitchen here is smaller and when asked about a specialty item we were informed that the Ankeny location had it but the kitchen here couldn't accommodate. I want to come back and try more. I had the flame burger from the food truck years ago and I think I would do that again too.

We got back to the car and it smelled so good we just dug in. I had tacos with carne asada, my wife had a quesadilla. Both were really rich. The meat on mine was cooked perfectly. It had a nice simple pico, and these sauteed onions that were amazing. They had the sort of tortillas that you cannot buy, you can only make by hand. Beware the roasted jalapenos. It was delicious, but too hot for me. My wife loved it. The quesadilla had a nice crunch, and went wonderfully with the green salsa. Oh, an aside, I generally am not a fan of salsa verde. I went through most of mine with my tacos. It's a great place, right on the corner of Merle Hay & Hickman in front of the CVS so it's easy to get to. Not only was the flavor on point, but so was the texture. Not even exaggerating, idc if you're a meat loving omni, you need to try the food if you ever come across this bus. They're clearly well loved by the community too because the line was fairly long. But regardless the team was friendly and helpful! I ordered the frisco melt, which was so good I did not have the chance to take a picture of it. The sandwich is toasted and crispy and paired with their lentil patty. Which was so well seasoned, I almost forgot what I was eating wasn't meat. I also had the mango ginger lemonade, the perfect drink for a nice summer day! From what my friends told me, their nachos and tacos were just as good! So it's fair to assume everything on their menu is a winner and you can't go wrong with whatever you order. My only trouble is that I don't get to see this truck downtown as often as I want to! Can't wait to see them again in the future.
