The owner, Henry, is no bs, no frills, and has a sarcastic-yet honest sensibility. I love bike riding, but I can't pretend to know the ins and outs behind the mechanics of a bike, and this is why this shop is perfect. I have not only gotten countless tune ups, but they have identified and fixed problems for me that my dumb a$$ would've thought would cost a 100 dollars, and they charge 13 bucks and it's done within hours- sometimes minutes. As you can see by the other reviews, this is a GREAT neighborhood business, with salt of the earth employees. The people that gave one or two stars, don't pick up on social cues like sarcasm, or are not from Chicago and don't understand our banter is meant as endearment.

Amazing experience here. Didn't realize they were open 7days a week or I would have come in earlier…read morebut I got off work a little earlier and walked my bike over an hour before closing. The owner recommended a basic assessment first since this was a bike I just got from a friend. With the assessment he filled my tires, checked for leaks, adjusted my pedal and handlebar tightness, and oiled my chain up. He also taught me how to shift gears and pointed out my bracks were switched (right hand controlled front). In the end he also lowered my seat for a better fit. The assessment was great at ensuring my bike was ride ready and not dangerous. He also recommended what would be good follow up and pricing if I wanted a more thorough tuning for problem areas that he showed me during the assessment but wasn't pushy about it. I was back home with my bike before in under 30mins. Great price transparency. Owner had great knowledge of bikes and brands. Also has free automatic tire pump and recommended I drop by every 1-2wks to keep my tires plump. I'm excited to get back to riding with this new bike!

The best local business I've used in at least a decade…read more I got a great hybrid bike at a great price, that I'm still loving a year-plus later. And everything like tune-ups, oiling, and flat repairs are free. (Ron fixed the flat by replacing the tube.) After a year, one of my gears started skipping a gear, which I pointed out when he replaced the inner tube, and Ron pointed out where the wiring had frayed some--probably whacked against something, he said--and he immediately stripped it all out, replaced it and fine-tuned it expertly. No charge. Had me test ride it around the block, to be sure. The 1st thing that impressed me, though, was when I came in looking in August, there were a ton of bikes, but I'm 6'1" and Ron said none of them were big enough for me, but he would get more in 3 days, so call back then. I really respect someone who WON'T sell me something, because it's not right. They're very close so I stopped by a few times, we talked more, and he had a big enough road bike, but he said what I'd been describing was a hybrid, and if that's what I wanted, I should wait. He went over the pros/cons of each, and I said definitely a hybrid. He said he got far fewer, so I checked in every week or two, and in November, 3 months from the start, he had a hybrid big enough. It was perfect, and I bought it. I wanted a more comfortable seat, so he had me pick the one I wanted from all the bikes and he swapped it in. I bet 99% of customers would have gone somewhere else long before, so he'd given up most of his chance at a sale, and could have easily sold me on a shorter bike being ok, but wouldn't do it. Ron is super-nice and great to talk to, and his wife Sonja is too, so it's always a pleasure. Love this place.

Today the tech came out and serviced the refrigerator, stove and checked washing machine seals. He noticed the ducts needed cleaning so we have that scheduled once the parts come in for the other appliance. Tech was very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend this business. We have ants and silverfish problem in our house…read more Emil did a great job with the customer service, very helpful, responsive, and gives a pretty good rundown what would be expected. The price is pretty reasonable, especially for 2 pests, and not overcharged as other companies. It comes with 2 visits, 2 weeks apart from the first. However, the on site experience was not as great as mentioned. Technician came, went to spraying right away, and it felt like he was in a rush. Did not really check what might be the cause of the infestation (would not be an easy thing to investigate, but we did not really see the effort to find the cause). We see a great reduced number of ants, but still see a few lingering around, not as concerned number as before, but we feeling better about the ants. Also, 2 weeks after the second treatment we keep seeing silverfish back even after the treatment and trap was applied (they mentioned the number might increase the following week/10 days after treatment due to them trying to leave the premises, or longer since the treatment is pet/child safe product and it might take a bit to work). After the 2 visits, extra visit/treatment will cost extra, even with some pests coming back. - Giving a 5 stars still since they gave me a full refund due to my dissatisfaction with the service on site. Treatment did not do as well to the my pests situation, but great customer priority, owning up to their words, and honesty overall.
