Great place... helpful staff. Specially Billy. Prices are fair for what they do. If you want a cheap job don't go here. They'll do a solid job that will last. I live 20 miles from them and drive there because of their service. There closer places and closer/cheaper places. I'd rather take my bike here because i know it will last. Please be advised. When I say cheaper I mean 10-20$. Some people would rather save 10$ then pay 20$ for a real fix. We're not taking cars here people these are bikes. I see some reviews complaining that they won't go back because they were not offered the best prices. These people were basically shopping around to lower prices and asking for discounts on every store. I can't imagine someone going to the Walmart or Target or whatever other store and asking for a discount. What gives you the right to arrive there for the first time and ask for a discount like you deserve it just cause you're willing to buy something else. So this is an update from a previously rave review two years ago. I'm thinking the previous owner sold out because the experience I had this second time I was going to go was tragic. The worst part was I had referred a friend there and she was treated horribly. So this time around I called to get an estimate on an estimate to have normal maintenance and my brakes looked at and replaced if necessary. I asked how much he thought it would be and he said he didn't know and that he couldn't give me an estimate for maintenance or for a brake job or what their hourly rate was. Needless to say, won't be using them. I called two other bike shops in the area and they both gave me reasonable estimates. Won't refer this place or spend a dime there. read more

I recently purchased some new wheels and they changed the cassette out at no charge and offered to swap the tire and inner tube from old to new at no charge. Always great service. Fast, efficient, and friendly. Just changed my front tire tube in ten minutes and when I had some spokes replaced a few weeks ago, they had it done by the next morning and adjusted my gears, brakes and tightened the kickstand as a bonus. Great people!! read more

I came to this business to buy an ebike. Very bad customer service. The person that took care of us just pointed at some bikes that are hanging from a wall and walked away when we told him that we only had $500 saved for a bike. He even told us to save the money and come when we had enough saved. It is a nice shop but then there is bad customer service as this one, I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Dates of service Sept 13-14, 2021 - Just my luck that both my 'Specialized' bikes needed work at the same time. So, I took both of the bicycles to 'The Bike Shop' for a tune-up for each. I ride one of my bikes every morning (6-15 miles) because I am retired and have Type 2 Diabetes - so my bikes are very important to me. I consider my bikes part of my family. This was my second trip to 'The Bike Shop' since we moved to the area and they did an awesome job. JT was my bike tech and he was very thorough and communicated well with me before he made any repairs. The service was prompt and professional....and JT also let me know what I would need to be focusing on in the future regarding upcoming repairs and maintenance. I bought a bike from here because of their service plan they offer--it is included when you purchase a bike. However, I am not really thrilled with the "repair" they made on my wheel, as it still has the same problem. When I bought the bike, I ordered several accessories. They never came in. Fast forward one year, I decide to (re)order my luggage rack. I was told it would come in a week. At least 2 weeks laster, i finally get a call telling me it had arrived. When I tried to install it, I discovered there were no instructions and NO installation hardware included. When we called, we are told it was $10 for the installation hardware (a bracket). Seriously? I'm bummed. I like to support local businesses, but I also want the service I deserve. read more

I have purchased several parts for bikes and brought several bikes in for service. The guys in the back have always been great. Fast to fix things and get me back on the road. I have friends who have purchased high end street bikes from here and no problems that I have ever heard from them. New to the area. I took my bike into 'The Bike Shop' for a full tune-up. So glad I came here. The staff was sharp, friendly, and most importantly: My bike looks and rides like it did 18 months ago when it was brand new. The thing that impressed me most was not the finely-tuned gears, derailleurs, and brakes, no sir. It's the fact they cleaned (I mean disassembled and deeply cleaned) the frame, wheels, and gear-train. I forgot my rear cassette was silver, not black...until they made it silver again. I bought a new shifter cable to replace on my own, when I had problems with the shifter and thinking I messed it up I brought it in for them to do the job. Dave ordered a shifter, I left the bike and asked if he would perform the free tuneup that comes with buying any bike bought there. I received a call back from Dave the very next day telling me my bike was ready to go with no charges. He canceled the shifter order after determing it was actually fine. This kind of honesty is what motivates me to do business with anyone. I will be spending my money here. I have done business here for 3 years and a positive review from me is long overdue. I'm not recommend this bike shop. Very black. An inner tube cost 14$, same brand u can find another bike shop only 8-9$. One time I went to their shop for bike parts, and they said can help me put it on but refuse to tell me how much gonna cost, after it's all done, they charged me 80$ for only tighten the bottom braket and installation of front wheel, if you refuse to pay then you won't get ur bike back. read more

My Mom had recommended the place as she took her bicycle there for a tune up a few years back. She said it was $10.00 and that they helped you get the bike in and out of the car. Well, when I went there recently, there was no assistance from staff; in fact they asked me to bring it in when I approached the counter. I told them I needed a basic tune up and that the brakes didn't work. They took my phone number and did not tell me what the cost of a tune up was. When I returned to pick the bike up, I was charged $50.00, not offered assistance to load my bike back into my car, and was told I should have them put new tires on as mine were dry rotted (they have been that way for the past 7 years and I have not had an issue with them). Once I got home to test the brakes, the rear brake still does not work. I will never go there again and I will tell all my friends and neighbors to go elsewhere for their bicycle needs. read more

We are new in town and shopping for 3 bikes. This was our first stop and planned to look several places and made sure the salesperson knew we were fact finding. He was helpful but not overly in sales mode. Told us to look around and let him know if we had questions. I asked if they would give a good deal on a multiple bike purchase and he said sure. We next went to another bike shop close by. Saw many of the same bikes, especially the one brand we were most intrigued by. We got good info from that store and the owner gladly gave us a quote on the 3 bikes we liked best at that time. We went a few towns over and saw some different styles of the same brand, but were not impressed with the shop although the prices were lower than the first shop. We decided to go back to this shop and have another look for the other style we decided we liked best. When we got back to this store, the guy that initially helped us was gone and we spoke to the owner. He answered a few questions and I asked him about a multiple bike deal. He told David to give us $25 off each bike. Then he left as he was going to an event. I went to the counter and asked David to tally up the bikes we had chosen. At this point we simply wanted to take all this info back home, talk over our options and make an informed decision. With the discount, the prices of the bikes were more than we had seen in the other shops. I asked if they matched competitor pricing as we had seen the same bikes at other stores, cheaper. He said those competitors were diminishing the value of the brand and this shop was better because of the service plan they offered. I said ok, can you print me a copy of the quote. He then snarkily said "yes, I guess if you keep running around comparing prices you may finally get someone to give it to you cheaper." I let him know I felt that was very insulting and We left and immediately went to the competitor around the corner and purchased the bikes from him. He was helpful and gave us his best prices happily. We actually spent a little more and got more. We do not want to do business with someone who does not respect their customers. Not only did you lose out on a substantial 3 bike sale, you will not get our continued business as we purchase a bike rack, safety equipment and accessories and later on, upgrade our daughters bike. We were looking for a business to have a long term trusting relationship with. This was not it. read more
