we got our grandchild a bike there . That evening I discovered it was $90.00 cheaper online with free shipping. They owner refused to match the price and told us to bring back the bike but there was nearly $30 restocking fee when it wasn't even ridden! If he was "fair" about it we may have bought another one there but he was such a jerk about it. I never really write or diss anyone really as I'm a business owner but this place doesn't know much about customer service. I wouldn't trust this place with anything they tell you. I bought all of Bikes from Bob's Bike shop when Bob owned. Now the new owner doesn't give a DAMN about customers. I went in about a week ago and asked if he could service my bike and pick it up. He said that he could and would pick it up the following Wednesday. I called the following Wednesday and his comment was that he couldn't pick it up that day but would get it after work to which I asked what if it is raining and his comment was that it is always raining in Florida. At the present time it was sunny outside and he "HUNG UP ON ME". He told me to go to several other dealers. All I did was ask him a simple question and this is what I got in return. I am glad I found these guys. They have Been in the same location since the 1960's. Mike, the mgr has always gone above and beyond, they have brought my bikes to my house for me after repairs, they always do repairs as I wait, and they always charge less than expected. At least half the time I drive by their street, I see Mike helping some old lady get used to a bike down the sidewalk, just a honest, good local business. read more

Well never shop at this place agian!! I purchased training wheels for my sons bike and The directions for assembling them was not very good. Took them back to bobs And ask if they could show me. They wanted to charge me $5.95 to tighten two Bolts!! After spending over 15 dollars on a pair of crappy traning wheels that will not Hold the weight of my 40 pound son!!!! .I bought my new Beach Cruiser bike at Bobs less than 16 months at a cost four hundred dollars plus. Since then, I had the bike back for repair three times. The latest repair which I declined was estimated at 180.00. The bike has low end components that are not made to stand up to a beach environment. I must say the owner has no manners or courtesy to his customer's. The entire experience was obnoxious. This bike shop is real low end. The only thong not low end is the prices. read more

We found Bob's Bike Shop while driving up Highway 1. I had purchased a used bike a few days earlier and didn't like it. I saw a Giant here and Annmarie (Bob's daughter) encouraged me to ride it. I loved the bike right away and purchased it. I put some "ape hangers" on it just for fun. I get compliments everywhere I go. I even bought the bike back to Minnesota with me. My wife and I returned a few days later and she got a very good deal on a used bike. Bob could easily have sold us a new bike. He listened to my wife and suggested this bike. She is a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend these people. From Bob and Annmarie down to their bike mechanics (and even Bob's wife)' they are class people who have been in the business in that location for many years. Good rides to all. read more
