Food was good. I had the bacon egg and cheese..... then I had southern tots!! Tots were amazing!!!

Good food. Service is slow natured. Only the food runner is really making an effort. Very long line to order and only one register open. Manager seems to be above running the register, but the kitchen probably can't keep up with two registers. My wife's order was incorrect, but the manager was not very helpful. read more

When in Abilene, TX, "the biscuit bar" is the place to be for breakfast. It's built along a waterfront so the outdoor seating offers a great view of your kids playing in the play area or taking in the water front view. Food is devilishly good and the drinks are worth multiple rounds. Bring the family or just a ladies brunch out. You won't be disappointed. Look for the seasonal biscuits or drinks. read more

Food is okay. Way more expensive than I was expecting for Abilene. I think this is a good choice for people who've never had a proper Nashville/southern chicken biscuit sandwich. There's a wonderful shaded patio in the back. Cashier wasn't helpful at all with questions so be sure to study the menu yourself. read more

Lots of creative options here it can be overwhelming. I decided to get the "Chicken and not a waffle". Nothing special but it was good. The chicken had just enough flavor but the French toast biscuit was somewhat boring in taste. They also had cereal inspired alcoholic beverages. NOT dog friendly. (At least now). I have been to the biscuit bar a few times and taken my dog with me. They have always let me know when I order that I need to sit on the patio with my dog and that is fine. Today on the other hand I waited in line with my dog for about 5 minutes and when I got up to order the man refused to take my order because I had my dog. He told me I had to take him outside and come back to order. I wish that the policy was more clearly posted. When I went back outside to look at the door I didn't see anything at first, but then saw this small sign near the ground with big letters DOG FRIENDLY and then small letters saying patio only. I now understand the policy and I am posting this review so others won't have the same experience. I gave it five stars before because I liked the food. But lowering my rating now because of the way I was treated this time. read more

Oh my goodness. I'm not a breakfast person, especially not biscuits but my husband wanted my daughter and me to go for him. Lol. So on his behalf, we went. So glad we did! I got the ribeye egg with cheese biscuit and my daughter got the traditional sausage gravy biscuit. She got coffee and I got the pineapple mimosa. Just the biscuits alone was more than enough. Had an enjoyable late Sunday lunch here. The Hot Chicken sounded so good that all three of us ordered it with tater tots. Waited a few minutes as the chicken was fried crispy for the fresh biscuits- a tasty combo with the pickle and Ranch drizzle. Staff was pleasant and attentive. My brother and I like to check out places to eat (of course) everywhere we go in town and out of town. What a pleasant surprise this was! We were lucky to arrive at a slow time and were greeted by a really nice gal who was friendly, helpful, energetic, and just in general nice! The place was in a mall that is reminiscent of a beer place I like with almost the same architectural style. The back is a Wowza! type of look for sure. My brother and I both ordered the same thing - OK, it's the overall yummmmm factor and it did not let us down. I believe it was the steak and egg one - it was gone so fast that I barely took a picture...yeah, I'm like that. The food was great - loved the biscuit but the combo of steak and egg - yaaaasssss! Then my beer, yup yup. I am coming back here. They have a brunch (och I am seriously liking that), lunch, breakfast, and heck you could do dinner here too. It has a bar (with my favorite beer BONUS!), an outside area that can be closed, TVs for you sports fans, it is located very close to the ACU campus, and looks very modern and stylish. The outside was really gorgeous if you don't look too far across the way (lol). I met the GM and he was a very nice person also, with a great background story. Very good! I had the fancy chicken. My son had the Philly cheesesteak. My friend had the pulled pork.

The Hot Hot Biscuit was the favorite dish at our table. The chicken was just out of the cooker and so juicy! The ranch and pickles were a perfect pairing for this quick breakfast. Rnjoy! read more

My mom and I went here for brunch today and had such a lovely experience! I had the Hot, Hot Chicken Biscuit and my mom had the Biscuit with Sausage Gravy. Both were delicious! The monte Cristo was really good. The chicken not waffles was "good but not filling" according to my daughter and the hot hot chicken was sooooo small, mostly biscuit and not spicy at all. Well after taking down 7/8ths of the "Rough Night" all I have to say is meehh. It was the all we have in a biscuit and it looked great but let me down at first bite. A bit dry for my flavor. I figured between the chicken, patty, pulled pork I thought I'd get some juicy goodness but that wasn't the case. Had to use some available sauces around the joint. This Central Texan will stick with good ole' souther restaurants when I have an itch for biscuits from here on out. Possibly the best biscuits I have ever had. Had the sausage and egg one, and the pulled pork one, both delicious. Best breakfast food option we could ever have found. That said, really crowded with not a mask in sight, we were able to eat on the outdoor patio but had to order in metro at rush hour conditions (the staff was great). This is a great place for something that is not your usual burger. I ordered the B-Bar Burger. It was cooked perfectly and the biscuit was moist and fluffy as they should be. Loaded tater tots were delicious and the banana pudding was as close to southern home made as you can get. read more
