Had the number # 2 combo, the burgers were really tasty! Flamed Grill! My Husband had three cheese burger meal and he loved it! Next time, I think I will try the onion rings! The people that served us was really great, and Friendly! The place was clean inside but is an older dinner and the bathrooms were clean but small! I decided to get a piece of the strawberry cheesecake to share with my Husband, but unfortunately he didn't get too much of it because I enjoyed every bite! read more

Idiot moment of the day. I drive up, see the car in front of me driving around the back and follow them. It wasn't until I got to second in line that I realized I drove by the drive thru window without ordering. So I then made the U-Turn of shame to get back in line again. Getting back to the important stuff. The staff were super nice and the food, for being "fast food" was very good. The food was good no doubt!!! But it was dirty, the bathroom was nasty and you could smell it out in the dining area! Your shoes stuck to the floor! Hot soapy water with a splash of bleach or pine sol goes a long ways! Not to mention one of the workers with long black hair kept picking her nose at the front cabinet and at the window like goodness.... But the food was good... One of the best burgers I've had in a long while! It's a very unassuming place, but the food is so good. I highly recommend the hatch chile burger. The burger was hot and perfectly cooked, and the fries were thick and crispy. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. I ordered 11 burgers and large fries for work. I called ahead and gave them my order. It was short notice for my order. They had my order ready in about 30 minutes. When I walked in the staff greeted me. It was a relaxed pleasant atmosphere. They packaged the burgers in one box so they wouldn't get crushed and the fries in a bigger box. They had my ketchup napkins salt and pepper in a separate bag ready to go. The employees even helped carry the food to my truck. The burgers and fries were delicious. The food was excellent. If you haven't tried them you're missing out. I will definitely order from them again either at work or when I just want a great tasting burger. read more

This is exactly what I expect whenever I try a "hole in the wall" burger. Simple ingredients cooked and assembled perfectly and perfectly balanced. Staff was kind and made us feel welcome and that they were excited for us to be there. I had the triple bacon cheeseburger with 3 kids of cheese and my wife had the regular cheeseburger. Delicious! Burgers were juicy, cooked exactly the way requested (one medium and one medium m-well) and just the right amount of messy without being a soggy mess. The building is a little small and has some bumps and bruises in the best possible way. It's the kind of place you walk into and think "this is either going to be really good or really bad" and it would not surprise me if they have a line around the building most days. Best homemade tasting bacon cheeseburger I've eaten in a long time. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Burger patty was juicy and well seasoned. Wife's club sandwich was very good as well. Simple building but DAYUM that was a good burger! Best beef patty I've ever had honestly. Whoever they have making their buns rocks too! The menu is quite varied, lots of choices. I saw people eating chicken fettuccine and it looked amazing. You could have fooled me that the beef was cooked open flame, but I looked and it's a flat top.... I got the limited time hatch green chile big burger which was great (perfectly spicy)... I'll admit I was already hungry but it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! This is a very unassuming place, but do not let that stop you from going in. We were stopping in Abilene for the night and saw the excellent reviews. The food was fabulous! I had the gyro with fries and both the gyro and the seasoned fries were delicious. My husband had the patty melt and he was equally impressed. The very friendly ladies who take your order and deliver your meal are super nice and entertaining. We would definitely visit again when in the area. read more

It was a random day outing with the family and we got hungry. Searched for a place near by us and found this place. Went through the drive thru, got the club sandwich, chili cheese dog and cheese burger with fries. Had to wait like 15 mins for our food but when we finally got it, we were very satisfied with how it looked. We were even more satisfied with the taste of everything. The portions size was good for the price. There was no complaints from anyone and we will be going back to try more food. The ambience was casual cafe type vibe. It was cute. read more

YUM!! Y'all this place is my favorite in Abilene! There are tons of ok places in this town but why not eat somewhere you'll get great food!? When my family first saw this restaurant we had moderate hopes. Upon ordering with the help of a friendly cashier/server manning the register I was able to feed myself and my family (3 kids and my spouse) for less than a well know fast food restaurant(i.e. Chick-fil-A). Admittedly dine in seating is sparce but very what you'd expect from a mom and pop shop. The food was out so quickly I could swear they knew what we were going to order before we did. The food was stunning to the point that I neglectfully didn't take a picture and just had to sink in, and was it amazing. To sum it up it was the best burger I've had in this town in the hottest and toastiest minute. The fries were the perfect color, and had the perfect amount of crunch. While eating the cashier/server checked in to ensure everything was fine at just the perfect interval. Considering everything this is truly a hidden gem in this city ; my only negative comment is the fries could have used a bit more salt for my taste, but that's nothing I couldn't fix at the table. read more

Wonderful experience today at Texas Flaming Grill! Great food and service! I ordered a hamburger and fries - both were fresh, hot, and delicious! My husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak (with bacon and jalapeños) and onion rings. His sandwich was so good - I had to try a bite (or five!) The bread was perfect (warm and toasted), steak was cooked just right, and the addition of bacon and jalapeños gave it just the right amount of kick. Will definitely be coming here again! read more

On a road trip on our way to Dallas, definitely worth the stop! Was a little surprised when we pulled up on memorial day not sure what we expected, went inside hatches green chili burgers were excellent, my 2 travel companions said even without the chili the burger would've been perfect... Burger was perfectly seasoned the perfect size and perfectly cooked! Can't go wrong, I had the gyro combination plate did away with the sides and just got a large salad with gyro meat and pita it was wonderful again perfectly seasoned perfect amount salad very fresh and fulfilling so whether you're local or just traveling through as the three of us were I don't think you can go wrong read more

The service is very friendly! The food is all made to order which is very nice because you know what you're getting is going to be hot and fresh. That does mean there is a bit of a wait to get your food but it's worth it. It's all well seasoned and has good flavor. It is a mixed indoor-outdoor space with plenty of shaded outdoor and cooled indoor seating. Looking at their tap list, my girlfriend and I were impressed by their unique beers to try. I started with the Strawberry Peach Tonic (Fruited Hard Seltzer) and she had a Bella Rose (Rosé IPA). Both were served in cool glasses, with mine being tall and skinny and hers being almost like a wine glass. Shocking to nobody, mine was quite fruity while her Rosé IPA was hoppy with an underlying rosé flavor. Next, I ordered their Oktoberfest (German Märzen) and she had their Season's End (Belgian Dubbel). She described her drink as tasting like a Biscoff cookie. My Oktoberfest was quite malty, and I was a big fan. To close, we both ordered their Luscent (Belgian Table Beer) because small beers are back in fashion and I wanted to try it. It was obviously very light but still had a good flavor that was very bready. Nice and easy to close out our drinks with. They also have food and coffee that we didn't try, but the food looked sensational from what we saw others eating. They also have plenty of board games and card games to play while you're at the brewery and many beers available to take to-go. My only minor complaint is the lack of TVs in the brewery. Maybe it's a purposeful decision, but Texas Tech was playing football, and it would be a great place to watch the game. The bartenders are very friendly and willing to let you try and sample as many beers as you need to make your decision. Grain Theory feels like the kind of place every small Texas city wishes it had. When I pulled in it looked like they were closed due to little signage and low lighting. There are a few people dining and I grabbed a spot at the bar. Ordered a drink to start and it was so-so. I got the carnitas fries as that seemed to be a popular item. They were mediocre as well. Staff was friendly but not too attentative. Service was quick. I'd check out other spots if back in town.

If only it was here during my ACU years. Dozens of TVs , quick and friendly service, and good food! I don't like pickles usually but their fried pickles my husband ordered were quite good and I couldn't stop grabbing more. I got the club sandwich which was just perfect. Highly recommend this establishment.

The steak was high quality and the gooey cheese had a ton of flavor. What wasn't amazing however was the bill. $20 for a sandwich and a small portion of fries in Abilene is absolute insanity. What's even crazier is we were charged extra for a side of ranch! I understand you get what you pay for, and there's no arguing the quality of the sandwich was top notch, but at the end of the day it's still just a sandwich. If you're good with dropping nearly $60 (including tip) on lunch, then this is your spot. For me, I'll take my business elsewhere.
