Rarely in my travels do I encounter such a cute coffee spot that deserves a special shout out, but Blackwatch Cafe is worth a caffeine fix detour when traveling through the Scranton area. The unique vibe hits you as soon as you walk in, as there's decor worth a look in almost every direction. It's a tasteful collection of fixtures, pictures, and figures of all kinds. There is parking nearby the cafe, and the place offers a walk up window should you wish to sit on the patio outside or grab a drink to take for a stroll in the park. I ordered an iced mocha latte (half sweet), and it was prepared to perfection with a smooth taste and just the right amount of sweetness, and no hints of bitterness. It was probably the best iced mocha drink I've had in over a year. Service from the several ladies working there was really friendly. All in all, Blackwatch Cafe was a top notch cafe experience for me, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend others give them a visit when visiting Scranton. It's definitely the kind of coffee shop the world could use more of, offering a quality product, as well as a unique cafe experience. The park offers a wonderful place to stroll as well.

Stopped off for lunch while driving through the area, and made a great choice with Henry's. Service was friendly and efficient despite being packed, and the ambiance was somewhere between neighborhood coffee shop and neighborhood restaurant (aka, very pleasant). Food and baked good options were solid, and opting for a special (spinach and feta omlette, toast, sausage patty, and hash browns) gave me no regrets. Eggs were light and fluffy, but maybe could have used a touch more spinach and feta (admittedly though, I like those more than I like eggs so I'm biased). The sausage was a standout though! Definitely recommended, and will be my go-to meal next time I'm passing through.

The place is laid back and relaxing. The atmosphere is of busyness but controlled and manicured. Went here on a whim as I had an early appointment with the chiropractor and asked if she tried it here and she had not, so I said I'll give it a go. The latte was superb, the cinnamon sugar bagel with pumpkin cream cheese was amazing. Mind you, I'm not into the whole pumpkin craze of fall, but I did order another to go. Gladly will treat myself again when I'm near for my next appointment It's also great that since they have outdoor seating and people bring their pups, that they have a refillable water bowl for them. That shows me they're in tune with their neighborhood.

The décor leans imaginative without being kitschy, creating a refuge that feels intentionally designed for lingering, unwinding, and maybe even sparking a bit of creativity. While many new cafés stake their reputation on atmosphere alone, Wired & Inspired backs it up with coffee that actually delivers. This isn't your standard Electric City-style brew--the kind that promises boldness but lands somewhere closer to disappointment. Here, the beans speak for themselves. My Americano arrived with a fragrant crema and a depth of flavor that was rich but clean, crafted with the kind of care you can taste immediately. Smooth, balanced, and unmistakably fresh, it's the kind of cup that reminds you why you seek out local shops in the first place. Whether you're chasing a moment of calm or simply a better cup of coffee, Wired & Inspired is more than worth a stop. It's a little pocket of magic--and a welcome break from the ordinary.

I've had some fantastic meals from this place in the past, so I was really looking forward to my…read morerecent order. While there were definitely highlights, I found myself a bit disappointed as well. First off, the ribs were a standout in terms of taste; they were tender and flavorful, literally falling off the bone. However, they arrived in a pizza box, sitting on foil, and were ice cold. I believe they would have retained more warmth if they had been wrapped in foil or placed in a proper takeout dish. Given that it was only a half rack, it should have fit comfortably. On the brighter side, the mashed potatoes and gravy were as delightful as always. Every time I order them, they're consistently delicious. The turkey and roast beef platters were also warm and tasty, which I appreciated. However, I couldn't shake the feeling of being misled by the portion sizes. It seemed like they were trying to create an illusion of abundance by stuffing four slices of bread under the meat. This wasn't just the case with the turkey platter; the same trick was used for the roast beef platter. When I ordered, I explicitly declined the bread option, thinking I was getting a straightforward platter, not an open-faced sandwich. Instead of a generous serving, I felt like I received less meat than I expected, masked by the hidden bread. So, while I enjoyed the flavors, I can't ignore the feeling of being a bit deceived. I'm left uncertain about my next order. Perhaps I'll reach out to them directly to discuss my experience. I understand that times are tough, and the costs of ingredients, especially meat, can be challenging, but I can't help but feel a bit fooled and/or misled by all the slices of bread under both the Turkey & Roast Beef meat (4/5 slices under each pile of meat, for each platter! Please see the evidence in the pictures I uploaded) I cannot comment on the ambience because I had my food delivered to me!

We waited about 5 - 10 minutes before anyone said hi. Service was pretty good, definitely had enough people bussing tables and offering coffee and whatnot. The food was OK... the Eggplant Parm hoagie with extra cheese was decent, omelets were good, the onion soup was OK. Place was packed before we got there and got more quiet after 1230pm. Food may be better on a regular non-holiday day. I feel like they could improve the entry space... you walk in from the parking lot, stand in the doorway and others coming in would open the door right into us. It's a cozy place with decent food, service and a fantastic atmosphere.

There weren't many customers in the diner and the ones who were there were all served and eating. She didn't come over once to even give me a menu. I had to ask a guy, didn't know his title, for a menu. He asked what I wanted to drink and I said a coffee with cream and sugar. He brought the coffee and a small glass of milk to me and left. He didn't ask if I decided what to eat, or if he could take my order. Another 15 minutes, waiting and drinking my coffee and no one came to take my order. I offed to pay for my coffee and he refused my money and I left, in a nutshell. If I could give the service, or lack of, I would give it negative stars. The waitress should be retrained or fired. Waitress has long black hair, in teens or twenties, and she sucks at her job. I will never be going back to this dinner. They just lost and customer and I hope they lose many more. It's too bad because I use to really like going to this diner every once in a while and have been there several times in the past. Even the couple behind said they noticed how the waitress ignored me and the whole time I was there never even came to my booth. Only received coffee. No food.
