The Black Board Bistro provided us excellent food and service when my family and I had dinner there last night. I enjoyed the pre fixe menu concept, and each dish we delightful. The wine menu was limited by the pinot noir and pinot gris we ordered were excellent. I started my dinner with the bistro salad, which had great toppings and a yummy vinaigrette. The second course was ahí tuna totaki, and it was cooked perfectly and had a good sauce on it too. My third course, filet mignon, was cooked perfectly to order, and it was seasoned well. The potatoes it came with had a great crunch too. The Panna cotta dessert was creamy, and I loved the the topping. The waitress and chef were also exceedingly kind and tolerant despite having a difficult person in our party. I would definitely eat at Black Board again and recommend it to my friends and family traveling in the area. It's a culinary gem in the small town of Libby.

Umm. Amazing! For real! Wow! Would absolutely recommend. Prawns were incredible, snow crab Mac and cheese amazing, pizza amazing, and steak to die for. Dessert was drool-worthy. Would highly recommend! Also, how did they get such amazing wait staff! Jolee literally is the kindest human!

We had the most amazing dinner here. Chef Seth created a personal menu for our group and I really can't name a favorite dish. The fried shrimp ceviche appetizer was a flavor explosion of joy but everything else was delicious too. I can't wait to go again.

Our first experience here and it was excellent, so glad we came and there is absolutely no doubt we'll be back. Excellent food, service and environment, love it!

Look at the rustic fireplace and rock wall. I think THIS pairs well with a nice glass of Shiraz

What a lovely and exciting addition to the dining options in Libby. The Bistro is situated in a charming old cottage that has been remodeled to accommodate a small dining room. When I say small, it's 7 tables so I think you would want reservations as a general rule. While the restaurant is small, the food is not short on quality, presentation or flavor. I had the Mediterranean salad and the Shrimp pasta with smoked tomato cream sauce. I should say that the dish was about HALF shrimp...big 12 count size shrimp. Most restaurants would throw on 3 or 4 shrimp and call it good. Not here. While the dishes are more expensive than the surrounding restaurants I certainly think you get a fantastic value and experience for the money. They also have some a well curated wine list that you should definitely try. The ambiance with vintage jazz playing and the cost rock wall fireplace was beautiful as well. It would be the best place I know of in the area to take your sweetie on a romantic evening Edited to make it 5 stars. Why was I being so stingy? Anyway, I love this place.

Live in Seattle area, travel a lot and value good food and this is the best food I have ever had. I'm thankful to have family that brings us to Libby but even beside that it would be worth the trip. I could go on and on but I will just say I would NEVER have expected to discover my favorite restaurant is in Libby Montana.

WONDERFUL service. The food was nothing short of SPECTACULAR. The prawns were just as fresh as any you'd get from Houston to Pensacola.

Delicious food. Excellent service. Best dinner in Libby. It's small, so you need a reservation but so worth it!

My chicken swarma bowl was so good I wanted to write it a love letter. But here's the twist: we're staying at an Airbnb in Whitefish and last night we scoped the menu. $30 for a bowl? Our husbands said, "No way are we paying that for chicken." Fast forward to tonight--husbands are out, we're feeling rebellious--so we smugly ordered the bowl. Well. Let's just say I've seen bigger portions in a happy meal. My friend and I looked at each other and knew instantly: karma. Our theory? If you dine in, you get a $30 adult portion. If you order takeout, you get the $30 airline snack portion. So, word to the wise: dine in, don't take out. We ended the night eating microwave popcorn from the Airbnb cupboard, pretending it was swarma, and silently admitting that--ugh--the husbands were right. But don't tell them. Ever. Bottom line: the food is incredible, but for your wallet's sake, eat it inside the restaurant.

This is not only a pita, humus, shawarmas kind of place - this blending takes from the entire Med sea area. There's beef, pork, chicken and veg offerings. Chef Adam is personable and the real deal. His chocolate desserts are famous! **And a note on the cost. Remember this is a resort town and all USA prices (been to the grocery lately) are up. Meals can be shared and wine/beer ordered by the glass. The quality is exceptional and that is priceless.

Okay, Sauce and Bread... where have you been all my life?!…read more This place is SO good. The pasta was incredible, the hummus and appetizers were fantastic, and then there's the homemade bread--which is honestly dangerous because apparently I have absolutely no self-control when warm homemade bread is involved. And somehow, the people were even better than the food. The owner might genuinely be one of the nicest humans on the planet, and the servers were amazing. Warm, funny, attentive, and they made us feel like we'd been coming there for years. Everything tastes homemade, authentic, and made with actual love--which sounds cheesy, but I stand by it. We came for dinner and left feeling like we'd been adopted into a Mediterranean/Italian family. 10/10 pasta. 10/10 hummus. 12/10 bread. 100/10 people. We will absolutely be back... probably sooner than we should.

Unfortunately the waiter took quite awhile to return with bread and oil and vinegar. We let him know our drink orders and he rushed quickly off to get them but due to the wait he should have asked for our dinner orders at the same time. Again it took longer than expected for him to return but he eventually did and took our orders. The bread basket was empty by this time but he didn't ask if we wanted more. (Ironic for a place called sauce and bread) That said, our entrees arrived quite fast and tasted great. We had spaghetti pomodoro, lasagna and a Dante's inferno with sausage. Overall my recommendation is to go here for the food more than the service. If they were to hire an additional waiter / waitress that would be fantastic. They appeared to have more buss-folks than they need if they needed to make a trade-off.
