Since you're on the narrow strip of the island, it can get very windy and of course mess with your game if you're not prepared. The staff were ok, nothing bad, but also nothing great. For the price of the round and everything else, I would've expected a little more and a more memorable experience. You're basically paying a high price for an everyday course. I have seen this course go through good times and bad, both conditions and staff. I will say, that this is a great course and I have always enjoyed playing here! That being said, the course is in decent shape with the exception of the greens. Players (hackers) are not repairing ball marks or taking care of the course (common etiquette). I played this week and observed the following: The pro shop allow groups of five players, extremely slow play ( no rangers to be found anywhere), players hitting three and four tee shots each, three foursomes on one hole with a fourth pulling up to the tee box, players in the woods for extended periods of time looking for balls, players playing balls from out of bounds (people's yards) and players driving carts where they don't belong (next to the green) !! The pro shop is obviously taking full advantage of dynamic pricing, at $180- 200 per round during the week, maybe if the course was in top shape and it was being maintained and managed properly!!! Played two rounds, no beverage cart in sight. I will wrap up this review by saying, I am extremely disappointed with how the course is being run and maintained, to charge the premium prices and have the conditions be what they are is ridiculous!! To the management and staff... it's not about the quantity of play, it's about the quality! This is a beautiful course and it deserves better!

The bartender was very good and took care of all of our guests. The rental fee included cleanup, so we just had to take down a few decorations and go home afterward. We had plenty of dance floor and there was ample parking for everyone. A really nice place for a party, dance, dinner or reception.

Lesson learned. The covered/recessed balcony provided privacy from next-door neighbors and provided beautiful views of the sunrise/beach. Staff friendly and accommodating, breakfast offerings included egg items (scrambled, omelettes), meat (bacon chicken sausage/links), seasoned potatoes, cereal, breads,pastries/scones, Belgian waffle station (churro flavor was different), oatmeal, and coffee/tea/hot cocoa/juice, and fresh fruit. Coffee/tea/cocoa and citrus water station near entrance/front desk stocked 24/7. Beach is great for shelling/walking. I found the location to be conveniently located for shopping, food, Historic Corolla Village, Currituck Lighthouse, Currituck Beach Maritime Forest Trail Lookout (wheel chair accessible boardwalk to lookout; hiking trail through forest off boardwalk), and 4x4 beach access. If you're expecting to see wild Spanish mustangs, chances are slim and I recommend investing in a horse tour on 4x4 beach. Well worth the money (tours may be closed for season, so dbl check hours/offerings). If you're into sightseeing, you are ~ 1 hour drive to Bodie Lighthouse, Coquina Beach, and Pea Island. Hatteras is further south ~ 2 hours. I love visiting in the off seasons n and was surprised the number of businesses and restaurants still open during Thanksgiving holiday.

I believe this place is fairly new, because I so remember something else being in this spot some years ago. However, I could be wrong, but let's focus on present day... I was invited to a 50th birthday celebration here last Saturday. I had a general idea of where the place was located since I am sorta familiar with the area being a native and all. But we arrived close to 7pm and everything was all set up. My friend advised us to arrive at 6:45pm because it was a surprise party for her husband... so we popped in and everything was in tact. Even the workers were on their post awaiting to great the guest and provide service. I especially loved seeing this! Especially, since this is the first review... This place is really all the rage!! Not too big of a event space, but just the right size to entertain a group of 100 maybe more. But a few tables were set up along with a few cocktail tables... a club lounge vibe it gave. I believe the owner decorate the spot, so my friend gave a vision and it came to life last Saturday night. Another big plus... the owner catered the event. The buffet set up is away from the party people... I loved this!!! I didn't have to worry about smelling like food or even the venue smelling like food! The bar set up... another big plus!! I believe the bartender was set up through the owner and he was on point too. Even though he was a one man show, he kept the drinks flowing... no complaints, all smiles!! Now the parking lot is rather small. I did not notice if more parking was behind the building. But if you arrive early enough no worries here, as we did. She is such a joy to work with. For someone like me that worries about every little detail, I felt comfortable leaving it all to her. She is professional, kind and makes sure you are at ease during the entire process. I told her exactly what my vision was and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The staff that was there on the day of my event were also very friendly and professional. We loved the bartender. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Not one complaint was given. You will not be disappointed if you book with 757 events. They handle it ALL, food, decorations, liquor, DJ if needed. My husband had the best surprise party ever. Attended a wedding here for a dear friend. Beautiful houses with under house parking. Pool and bar…read morearea was delightful. Hot tub was a nice touch! The one recommendation I will make is that the houses need mirrors in the guest rooms. That was a huge issue for the wedding party, family members and friends staying in the houses. We ended up buying some for our stay since the only mirrors were in the small bathrooms. Also, there isn't any area for guests to park and most surrounding areas are 'Tow Zones'. We found spots but they were 2 blocks from the house which was inconvenient. This is a wonderful location for large families, perhaps reunions, or just a vacation.
