Located one set of stairs below an Italian restaurant, this speakeasy's entrance starts with pushing a gold pig on the way that opens hidden doors that are described as a shelf. Upon entering you see an intimate setting with a stone archway & ceiling. Ambiance 5/5 right away. Our service & servers were great! Very friendly & knowledgeable about the drinks. The drinks themselves were DELICIOUS. True craft cocktails with unique ingredients. We got lucky and were able to walk in on a Tuesday evening. Our serves told us there's another speakeasy located directly about this one called The Little Pig. So we decided to head there next. Great experience here! Will definitely be back!

Found this place by way of a friend who had recently visited and knew I had to go. Make a reservation and you'll be sent all the secret information to access. Don't let the sketch alley derail you. You'll be rewarded with a dark, clam mood, velvet wall atmosphere that you'll enjoy. A 27 page drink menu ensures there something for everyone. (There is also a food menu if you make dinner reservations. We went just for drinks). Staff couldn't have been friendly and knowledgeable and have a love for what they create. It is such a hidden gem but if you are an adventurous and a cocktail enthusiast this is the place in Dublin to be!

The entire experience felt clandestine and we loved it. The service was quick and friendly, the decor was perfect for the mood and the food was delicious. The cocktails well worth the visit!

Whose funeral are you going to? The old Lady's? Hehe. Call to make a reservation, they'll tell you where to go & how to get in ;) This speakeasy has been hands down one of my favorites I've ever been to. The ambience is dark, the deep red velvet room really puts you in your feels. Don't worry about making sure they have something you like because they have a booklet of anything you could think of. I ordered 2 drinks, they were curated with passion. They were delicious. Seriously , if you don't come here I'm judging you.

What a great surprise! The Little Pig is in a back alley way in Dublin, Ireland. It beautifully captures the 20s Prohibition-era speakeasies with its plush décor and high-quality cocktails. Stepping inside, you're greeted by rich red velvet walls and a copper ceiling. It's intimate and has an expertly crafted Old Fashioned. It's said that during Prohibition, there were two types of venues where you could get a drink: a 'blind pig' or 'blind tiger' was for the lower class with dancing and music, serving poorly-made moonshine and beer. The second type of venue was a speakeasy which was a luxurious hidden venue aimed at the upper class.

Good but pricey cod, mussels/clams, and mashed. Service is okay; cool ambiance. Not sure I'd return for the food.

This was a really fun speakeasy with great entrance, awesome music, and nice servers. We loved the piggy door handle and intimate feel to the place. We caught the end of the live music for the night and very much enjoyed it. Our server was friendly with a great sense of humor, and our cocktails were elaborate and delicious. The only issue was how early they closed. We easily could have hung out here until the early morning. Definitely a great find!

Speakeasy, yes please!! My husband and I found this place from a TikTok we watched. Making a reservation is required. We opted for an hour time slot, just enough time for us to have one cocktail. The service was great, the ambiance even better!! We just loved the feel of this place from the beginning end. I definitely say check it out for a cocktail.

We stumbled onto it by accident when we were having a very ehhh lunch at Pacino's. We came back for the speakeasy and it was dope. Loved the ambience. The servers were very nice. And the drinks were odd in a good way. Would definitely return.

Another of my daughter's awesome finds in Dublin! So cool that it has a secret access passage; shh The service was exceptional, the food and drink were delicious and the live music was such a treat. Very small venue and you must have a reservation; only way to find there location!

Amazing! I love speakeasies so I am biased. I absolutely loved this restaurant. The ambiance is perfect for a speakeasy. The food was delicious, as were the drinks. Everything came on time and the prices are reasonable for the location.

    Great drinks are created here!

This is a cool speakeasy! Just the way you like it... hard to find! When the door opens you step into a basement bar hidden away from the city! The drinks are amazing and the servers explained in detail on what went into the drinks! Make sure you get reservation! Limited seating. Cheers!

The entire joint was booked out, including the bar seats. Disappointed, we left & found another cocktail bar within walking distance. Out of curiosity, we checked out the 9 Below Open Table, & saw that there was availability in just over an hour. We decided to book 2 spots & wait it out. When we returned, the host remembered us & remembered that we prefer to sit at the bar. They showed us to our reserved spots - at the bar! We first admired the interior. Underground! Somehow low-lit, archaic, well-lit, & modern, all at the same time. Lively but not noisy pop music was playing - Dua Lipa, etc. The actual physical menu was so cool. It was a beautifully designed picture-book inspired menu, with each cocktail having its own separate & artful page. I'm looking back on the menu & I think the drink I ordered was "Fight Club" (Don Julio Blanco, mango, Falernum, camomile, lemon, & sugar) & it was phenomenal. The bartender scorched a hot pepper & carefully placed it on top, which MADE the drink. He also made my partner a Paper Plane with Scotch. Delicious. Speaking of the bartender, he was a real champion. Such a nice guy with a bit of flair to his style of bartending. We really enjoyed chit chatting with him. It also seemed like the staff really vibed with each other & everyone was having a good time. Great atmosphere. The next time we're back in Dublin we will definitely be back to 9 Below Bar.

We visited twice, and the first time was on a Wednesday night. They were able to accommodate us mid-week without a reservation, but Friday night we made one to come back. There were gobs of people waiting to get in so we're glad we did! The entrance is very non-descript. It's an ugly grey metal door with VCC randomly applied, so if you didn't know what was there it would look industrial. There is a door bell to the left of the door. Ring it a few times and someone will open the door and check you in. With reservations they do make you wait until exactly that time so don't be alarmed. Your table is already selected for you. The inside is loungy and very swanky. Both times we had extremely comfortable chairs. Service is immaculate. Their menu is massive, very well published and explained. Our servers were both able to explain exactly what the cocktail may taste like as some of the combos might blow your mind. I had the Dirty Wizard which sounds odd on based on ingredients but was delicious. I also had the Purple Pearl which was my perfect cocktail. My husband tried a few different whiskey concoctions and he was impressed by all of them. I highly recommend adding VCC to your Dublin itinerary!
