There are a number of gift shops located throughout the Louisville airport, and the receipts when…read moreyou purchase something from any of them say "Paradies Airport Shops - Louisville". The gift shops in this relatively small airport offer a good variety of local Louisville products, including items from Louisville Slugger, Churchill Downs, and of course, lots of brands of Kentucky Bourbon. They also offer the usual water, drinks, snacks, travel supplies and sundries. Why I can only give them 1 star is to warn people about the rip off pricing. I wanted to get a gift for someone back home, and knew they really enjoy Old Fashioneds. I decided to get them a Makers Mark whiskey glass and a bottle of bourbon. Considering I was in the airport in the immediate area where that Kentucky bourbon is made, I assumed the pricing here would be fine. In short, a few days later I found the exact same bottle of bourbon that I bought here at the Louisville airport, in my local liquor store for about $10 cheaper. In fact, my local shop had the 750 ml bottle of that brand cheaper than what I paid for the 375 ml bottle here at this airport store. A quick internet search shows that I overspent for the glass I bought here as well. OK, I get it..You're located in an airport and people are stuck there, many want to try and buy a last minute souvenir before they leave the area, etc. That said, the markups here are excessive from what I discovered. I was also considering buying a miniature Louisville Slugger bat, but once I saw what the gift shops in this airport were charging for them, I passed.

I lived in Louisville in the past and before I fly out back to my home now, I always buy bourbon ball candies at Paradies to take home. This specific trip, I found the best horse/Louisville coffee mug that was so artistic you'd expect to find it in a museum gift shop. These shops don't sell cheaply made goods, and what you do buy you know it's not going to fall apart. The staff has always been so hospitable and professional. I actually look forward to spending money in an airport shop when I shop at these shops in Louisville airport.

I bought a 80's/90's beaded 100% silk crop top that fits me like a glove, for $75! It is such an incredible piece to add to my collection. Words do not do this piece justice. I just moved here from California and stores like this just do not exist in California anymore. This is a real gem! Sharon has been in this store for 13+ year and I hope she is there for 13+ more! I live about two blocks from this store and am already planning my return. I went 2x yesterday. Once with a friend and once to bring my husband because I felt like he NEEDED this 70's silk shirt she had. It was fantastic and we bought it. I love locally owned, independent stores like this and supporting hardworking, knowledgeable and passionate women. Please, do yourself a favor and go here! Try stuff on! Talk to Sharon! If you don't find anything, come back again in the near future and support this amazing woman-owned business! It is a real gem! Ps... they are size inclusive! I saw items up to size 2XL/18w and that is RARE for vintage shops!!

My teen son and I enjoyed looking around and appreciated that mirrors and a dressing room were available. We found him a cool brown vest to add to his closet. This is the type of style I think of when shopping for vintage clothing. The condition of the clothing was fantastic and prices were reasonable. Most items had a more upscale vibe (not tees and sweatshirts). Service from the team working was wonderful too. You can tell they work hard to upkeep the store and their items. They also checked on us a few times to learn if we needed help. Highly recommended and looking forward to coming back!
