I received a text with a picture of the flowers that were delivered. It was an anniversary and they only put one of the two names on the card. This was very disappointing. Secondly, and most importantly, the picture of the arrangement that was delivered was not worth the money I paid for it. Minimum order for a delivery was $75 plus delivery charges. They arrangement in the picture was small and may be worth $30-$35. Definitely not a $75 arrangement. I will never use this place again and they were totally dismissive when I called with my concerns. The Blooming Idea Florist is a total rip off. Please, do not use this Florist. If I could, I would only give them a half star out of five. They weren't worth a full star. read more

My mom came here on the Friday before Mother's Day, the lady told my mom to come back on Monday. So she did. The lady showed my mom some different roses. My mom picked the flowers and ordered my bouquet for my wedding. The morning we picked them up, the flowers were beautiful, everything I ever wanted. But within a couple of hours during/after the wedding they were already getting brown. When we got home, one of the "blush" flowers fell off. By night, the other two fell off as well. How was I supposed to save my wedding bouquet when they all died before I could preserve them?! Very disappointed. Oh & the bouquet (blush flower $15 each, white rose $5 each, the vase to keep it up right, & a single white rose boutonnière all came up to $160) I would expect these flowers to last just as long as some Costco flowers. read more

Big disappointment. I was very upset when I picked up the floral arrangement. Some of the items in the arrangement weren't fresh. There were big, thick green stalks that had been snipped off at the end....just sticking out of the arrangement. Bald stalks of nothing that appeared to be randomly placed for no reason except to take up a little bit of space. It was massively overpriced, to boot. Yet it looked very cut-rate. Buying flowers is often about expressing what you inwardly feel. The arrangement I received did not do the job. There was nothing I could do about it due to time constraints. All I can say that is positive about this place is that the person who I dealt with was polite. But that's not enough, all things considered. I will not return. read more

My mom and I went in there to get several small ($15-$20) arrangements made for a big dinner coming up and the staff was so rude! They treated us as though we were not worth their time because we only wanted small arrangements. They literally told us, "oh, then we can't help you if you only want several small arrangements." I hired The Blooming Idea as my florist for my wedding, which was on May 31, 2014. It came highly recommended by the church we were getting married at and I thought I read some great reviews. I worked with Mary who was great, very accommodating and really helped me orchestrate my 'wedding-day vision'. I was really excited for my flowers for the wedding. The day of the wedding I received a text from one of Mary's employees telling me my bridesmaids bouquets came in pink instead of purple. I had been very clear about my colors, so although I appreciated her letting me know I wanted them fixed. After a little back and forth we came to an agreement on the bouquets, Mary must have pulled some strings and found purple flowers to replace the flowers that were dyed wrong. Although a little different than what I had expected they turned out beautiful. The ceremony flowers were exactly what I wanted and the reception centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking. I called from CA to request flowers for my mother's 90th birthday celebration, 5 days in advance and spoke to the owner at length, requesting autumn flowers, mums, sunflowers, things like that. What was delivered was a bowl of filler fern, 5 roses, 4 pale orange carnations, 2 sprigs of goldenrod, and 4 sprigs of orangy redbud...not only not what I requested, but a sea of green with a few flowers. I was told that what I requested was not of the best quality .... What I received looked like Saturday mornings leftovers. They were sorry that I was disappointed.
