The salmon pasta was plain, the salmon was raw, and seemed to be deep fried. We sent it back, and after a long wait we got another piece of oily deep fried salmon that was raw on the inside. The focaccia bread served with the pasta was rock hard and stale. We gave up and checked out. The server seemed busy and rushed, but was nice enough to take the salmon off the bill.

The woman who helped me, Kerry, a ceramicist, was helpful and pleasant. The gallery is cozy and features 30 artists. The works were all affordable. My favorite artists represented by the gallery are the painter, Judy Bess; the photographer, Steven W. Martin; and, of course, Ms. MacQuarrie. The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery is a bit of an oasis amidst a square full of kitschy t-shirt shops.
