The tentative plan was almost none of what I requested and the pricing was $4000-7000 OVER my max budget. I had been going through major health issues which Tammie was aware of; and that's why I even considered not handling the event myself. Because most of what I requested at our first meeting was absent from the plan and pricing, I asked for a refund of MY $750. This was her RIDICULOUS Response: I'm so sorry we cannot refund your non-refundable deposit as we spent hours putting together your proposal and then hours letting all of our vendors go. How in the world could a company spend hours cancelling vendors that I never even approved. I didn't give her a go ahead for ANYTHING. I cancelled the contract within 48 hours of receiving Tammie's ridiculous proposal. She did offer to provide a STRIPPED DOWN VERSION OF THE EVENT. If I had wanted a STRIPPED DOWN EVENT, I wouldn't have tried to hire a planner.

I was pretty overwhelmed trying to organize a wedding in Atlanta where there are a million vendors for everything. The Wedding Box had a very clear understanding of my vision and budget. Stefanie would only refer vendors to me that she knew I would like and could afford but was also extremely willing to work with anyone that I had found on my own. This includes the awful, heinous, mean (think of every bad word you can come up with) woman at my venue that almost put me in tears (btw, I am NOT a crier). In addition, she would negotiate when necessary, which was essential to me because I am really not good at it. The day of the wedding certainly would have been a disaster without my awesome planner. After my 1st coordinator bailed on me two months before my wedding, I was frantic and not very trusting. A friend of mine recommended True Elegance and I thank her over and over again even today. With a guest list of over 200 people, Nichole stepped right in and did exactly what she promised...eased my fears. She spent countless hours with me in the weeks leading up to the wedding going over vendor contracts, giving me great decorating suggestions and even located a Caterer (at short notice) to host my cocktail hour. On the day of, her assistant Jessica came in and blew my mind. She and Nichole worked so well together that MY family, who are hard to please, even gave them both a "Special Gift".
