We ended up staying until about 9:30 p.m. and never felt rushed or pressured to order more. The staff was very friendly and made excellent recommendations, especially considering we were a bit picky -- one vegetarian, one pescatarian, and the other only likes dessert wines!! Definitely coming back with less picky people

Waiter Manuel. This…read moreis a review reflected on you, solely. Being kind is the moral of the story, from the beginning you were passive agressive with your comments and tone. Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

Cover: $8 Lesson: 8:30pm…read moreDancing: 10:00pm - 2:30am! Remember, it's just a dance. This is an amazing event. Blues dancing is somewhat inspired by swing, but it is slow, and sexy. Anyone can blues dance, it's really all about the music, and what it tells your body to do. It's about a connection between you and your partner, and it is about two people sharing the same space, and truly becoming one fluid entity. If you like to dance and have never tried blues dancing, I highly recommend coming here for the lesson. Blues dancing is very slow, very close, and very sensual. You have to be comfortable with yourself, with other people, and with your body in order to enjoy this dance. I suggest bringing a date if you are not willing to be up close and personal with a stranger. The lessons are always unique, and the teachers are fantastic (different every time). If you don't know what blues dancing is, you should come to the lesson. If you are a swing dancer and you've never tried blues, you should come to the lesson. If you are one of the world's most experienced blues dancers, you should still probably come to the lesson (or consider teaching one). No two people dance blues in the same way. If it is your birthday this month, sign up at the web site and you can get in for free (but you have to do it by 11pm on Wednesday before the dance) some videos of blues dancers: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=520627305937149692&q=blues+dance http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5202395314986753602&q=blues+dancing http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2930266575907376504&q=blues+dancing http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1661364896790069779&q=blues+dance&ei=we0PSOfCFZHk4AKL982zBA

I really don't want to go to a blues dancing venue that feels like a mormon high school dance. I want REAL blues, with REAL blues music. This fusion stuff has gotta go. I also am not a huge fan of blues dancers who are just regurgitating rehearsed moves they learned in class. I want to dance with partners who have real soul, who are there for the real thing. I hate to hate, but what I would give for a soulful blues dance venue in LA!!! If anyone knows of one... hit me up. On a positive note, these people were pretty nice. But I'm not there to chat. I'm there to dance.

The seats were way too close together, and the person next to us had belongings spread into the shared space, making it very difficult to get in and out of our seats comfortably. Because of how uncomfortable the situation was, we decided to leave during the previews before the movie even started. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Sadly, this experience completely turned us off from coming back.

Unfortunately, after the movie ended, I forgot to put it back on and left it there. Since it was the last showing, there were no movies after ours, so nobody else should've been in that theater besides staff cleaning up. I called the theater nonstop that same night and nobody answered. The very next morning, I was the first person to walk into the theater when they opened... and surprise, the ring was gone. LOL. Really disappointing experience, especially considering how expensive and "luxury" this theater tries to present itself as. I expected much better customer service and honesty.
