Felt like a VIP movie night (with one tiny wrap flaw!) Let me start with a quick parking tip because it's definitely in the fine print: there's "One Garage" literally right next door that offers complimentary 3-hour parking once you get validation from iPic, the only garage to get validated! Sounds amazing... until you show up and it's already full... which was what happened. Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. I went to watch a movie here with my wife during the last showing of the night. My ring was bothering me, so I took it off and placed it on the table next to our seats -- you can literally see it in the pictures on my phone from that night. Unfortunately, after the movie ended, I forgot to put it back on and left it there. Since it was the last showing, there were no movies after ours, so nobody else should've been in that theater besides staff cleaning up. I called the theater nonstop that same night and nobody answered. The very next morning, I was the first person to walk into the theater when they opened... and surprise, the ring was gone. LOL. Best movie theater to go watch a movie, live the fact that's it's a limited amount of seats in each theater so that you can actually stretch out and relax while watching a movie. The food and drinks options here are great. Each month they feature a special drink and food item. I tried the citrus spiced mango drink which was nice. You will have a server that comes to you before the movie starts and you also have a button to get their attention. Service is great and never had an issue. The only disappointment is that they no longer offer free popcorn but I did see on the news that's they maybe filing for Bankruptcy. I will never take this theatre for granted again, especially if they find a buyer and survive! I am so lucky to live within walking distance to IPIC and have been coming at least twice a month to catch a new release. Service is fantastic and I love how many of the employees have worked here for many years and know who their regulars are by name. The food and drinks are great, along with the comfortable seats. Nothing beats catching a dinner and a movie in the middle of the week here. The theatre is still too warm for my liking, but I've remedied that with a neck fan :). Long live IPIC!!! read more

Just watched a movie here yesterday. It had been many years since I last came to this theatre. Sad to see it close. It was truly the first of its kind. Loved the reclining chairs in the private booth structure. Only played a few previews which is great because all the standard theatres are playing way too many previews/ads. Bathrooms were very clean, classy and smelled nice. Buttermilk chicken with fries were good. The coconut shrimp was yikes, over fried and I could not even tell which end I was biting into, just take that off the menu. But overall, Good job IPIC! When you get to the movie theater just check in with your front desk. There are 2 levels underneath the first floor. Escalators and elevators are both available. First underground floor is a pool and game room. The theaters are located 2 floors underneath the first floor. Next to the theaters there is a nice and large bar and seating area. Ambient lighting makes it comfortable on the eyes as well. Seating is limited per theater. You get your own little "cubby" like seating, almost like business class seating on flights. Seats fully recline and they give you a blanket as well. Good food and drinks make the experience better. The staff come by and grab your orders and food comes out promptly. Food is made well for a movie theater and are food items that you would typically order at a restaurant. Only suggestion would be to skip their desserts but main courses and appetizers are good. I came here for a date night with my boyfriend to watch Eternity, and overall we had a great experience. The seating was extremely comfortable and felt very private--almost like you're in your own little bubble--which really added to the ambiance and made it feel perfect for a date night. The theater is located in Old Pasadena, which is a lively and historic area, and the overall setup inside felt upscale and well thought out. The recliner pods, blankets, and dine-in service made the experience feel elevated and different from a typical movie theater. Service was easy to access with the push of a button, and our server was attentive throughout. For food, we ordered the filet mignon sliders with fries, as well as the fish and chips with truffle fries--everything was flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the spiced pear and ginger mule recommended by our server, along with tea, and both were great additions to the meal. Overall, I really loved the movie-going experience here and would definitely come back. The only minor downside was that I was a little confused upon arrival, as you have to go down the escalator and there weren't many directional signs or arrows. This wasn't my first time at IPIC Pasadena, it was one of many, and I genuinely love this place. The atmosphere, comfort, and overall experience always keeps me coming back. Last night we went to watch the new SpongeBob movie and decided to order dinner as well. Staff here is very friendly. I tried the chicken tenders, which came with a variety of sauces including maple syrup, ranch, BBQ, and ketchup. The tenders were good and came with a generous portion of fries, which I appreciated, but it's probably not something I'd order again. I usually go for the quesadilla fajita meal, which is absolutely amazing and something I definitely recommend. For drinks, I ordered an amaretto sour and my boyfriend had a cocktail called something with tequila. Both drinks were super yummy and well made. I've been coming to ipic for a few years now and finally got around to leaving a review. This is easily the best theater experience and I can't watch a movie anywhere else. I even decided to become a member. If you're looking for a place with good food, Great drinks, and privacy, there isn't a better place to watch a movie. The drinks are a bit pricey, about $16 for a cocktail, all of the drinks are really good. The only complaint I have is the margarita shaker for $45 is barely 2 drinks worth and there's wayyy too much ice in the shaker. You actually get more for your money if you just get two separate margaritas. The food is good overall, much better than any other theater food, but there are a few items I would avoid, fish and chips, pizza, and filet mignon sliders. The fish and chips were probably the worst thing I've had on the menu, the fish was almost inedible. The fries were warm crunch and well seasoned. The Filet Mignon sliders came cold and the meat was tough, it was still good but not worth $30. If they came hot these would've been much better. The pizza is most likely frozen pizza, tastes just like some digorino, it's not horrible but makes you second guess it for the price. I really enjoy the desserts here and getting the brownies with ice cream. The brownies come warm and melt in your mouth, those are definitely worth every penny. The pretzel and chicken wings are very good I'd recommend to order those. Overall this is still the best place to watch a movie in my opinion, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and good food/drinks. Watched two movies in the last week here and I loved it! The seats are so comfy especially the orange ones. The green ones are a little too close to the screen but the orange ones on the sides are perfect especially with your bf or gf! There really isn't much service to be expected but the food wasn't bad for being a movie theater. I got the warm pretzels and they were really good with the jalapeno cheddar dip! I would recommend IPIC for a dine in movie experience. The ambience was nice as well as the decor in the bar/lounge. I really enjoyed the theater itself. The chairs reclined all the way back and they provided blankets which I thought was a nice touch. The menu was average but still enjoyable. I did appreciate the gluten-free options for my friend. The only cons I can think about is that that bar itself was a tad slow, but this is considering that it was a company event. They probably should have had more bartenders on staff for that. IPIC is still one of our favorite theatres for a luxury moving going experience. We haven't gone as often over the past few years due to Covid and selection of movies nowadays. However, we still enjoy making the time to come to IPIC for the blockbuster films when we get a chance. Service has always been pretty good the few times we have visited. The ambiance is why we love watching movies here. The recliner chairs, the blankets and the wait service for popcorn, drinks and entrees. I've had the Gold member on and off over the years. Recently decided to renew it since its worth the cost for us. $40 for the year. 10% discounts. Complimentary popcorn and a free movie ticket for you birthday month makes it worth it if you watch a few movies a year here. The food, the drinks, the chill vibe of the theatre during a great movie is what continues to separate IPIC from the rest. We'll be back often for more movies! :D read more

It's off of Union Street, but the entrance is off of the alleyway. There is public parking directly across the street on Union. There's also some minimal street parking as well, but it is metered. Came here to watch the running man. Initially, we ordered the front row lounge bed seating, but my date was really tall and wasn't comfortable so we ended up moving to the regular seats. I'm pretty sure he had to pay extra for those seats too. I ordered the black truffle burger and their Uber pot. I did not care for that drink whatsoever. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't sweet enough for me as I like sweet drinks. The truffle burger was very delicious and it came with a small side of fries. Unfortunately, the food came out lukewarm, but our movie had already started and I was hungry so I didn't send it back. They gave you a blanket in the lounge. Chairs are comfortable. It is comfortable for tall people as well. I am 510 and my date was 65. The second level has a pool table that you can play with and then the third level down has a full bar and tons of CD to converse eight with your day. This is a really good date night spot. First time going to this theater today. Watched a show at 11 (around when they open). It wasn't too busy so felt the level of service was top-notch and both the person at check-in and in the theater were helpful in explaining everything. Shout-out to Mike our server for helping us out today and checking in on us during the movie. We ordered truffle Parmesan popcorn, churro bites and beverages. Everything came out quickly and was served at our seats with care. I enjoyed the taste of everything and felt it was well priced. Only hard thing was the chocolate sauce that comes with the churros is very running so it takes some finagling to figure out how to get it from plate to mouth without spilling of the sauce. The theater itself is quite spacious and I like how the seats are laid out which gives it a shared privacy situation almost like a first class suite experience. There is even a space to place purses without it getting in the way. Definitely will want to return for another theater experience in the future. read more

The needs for improvement: food and drinks. While options are plentiful, everything I have ever ordered from here to eat is so salty. The drinks aren't that great either. It isn't cheap and adds up. I can understand paying for something that's worth it. But I just haven't found any redemption with the food or drinks in the half dozen times I have visited. For the past 12 years, iPic has been my exclusive movie theater of choice. Whenever there's a film I want to see, no matter the genre , I make a point of coming here rather than any other cinema. I've always appreciated the premium recliners, in-seat dining, and the upscale vibe that made it feel like a special outing. Recently, my sister and her boyfriend visited from out of town. I've raved about iPic to them countless times, calling it the best option around, so they surprised me by purchasing tickets for the three of us to see a movie together.Because there were three of us, one person (me) had to sit alone in a pod. I was perfectly fine with that, until I arrived and discovered a man already seated in the adjacent spot. The film included numerous explicit nude sexual scenes and depictions of sexual violence, which made the seating arrangement particularly uncomfortable. Given the graphic content on screen, the idea of spending two hours elbow-to-elbow, sharing a table, food, and drinks with a complete stranger, especially a male stranger, left me deeply uneasy. I approached the staff politely to ask if they could verify whether the gentleman might be in the wrong seat (while acknowledging he was likely entitled to it, as there's no explicit policy against purchasing an adjacent single seat). The long-haired white gentleman who checks tickets and escorts patrons responded with visible disdain and disbelief, as if my discomfort was unreasonable. He confirmed it was the correct seat and that the man had paid for it, delivering the news with an appalled expression and scoffed! Other staff members including the manager initially reassured me that "this never happens" and suggested it must be a mistake, but once verified, they offered no meaningful resolution, no alternative showing at a similar time, no refund, and no option to relocate meaningfully. When I asked about seeing a different screening, they acted as though it was impossible. I had already paid $10 for parking in the nearby garage, adding to the frustration. Ultimately, upstairs they suggested a handicap-accessible seat for a showing three hours later, forcing me to kill time elsewhere rather than enjoy the evening with my family. No one seemed to grasp why sharing such an intimate setup during a film with heavy sexual and violent content might be objectionable, especially for a woman seated next to an unknown man. Their attitudes ranged from dismissive to outright condescending, treating my valid concern as suuuuper bizarre or entitled. On multiple occasions, the in-seat dining service has fallen short. One particularly memorable example, the kitchen sent out mozzarella sticks that were unmistakably burnt, blackened and bitter, presumably assuming the dim lighting would hide the poor quality. Even in the dark, taste is unmistakable, and burnt fried cheese is appalling. It felt like a careless shortcut rather than the premium experience iPic once promised. This episode highlights a broader decline I've observed in recent years. The once-VIP feel has faded , seats are often dirty (I was placed in one seat with gum stuck to it and received puzzled looks when asking for cleaning supplies, ultimately having to drape a blanket over the gum and watch the movie like that), food quality is inconsistent at best, and the overall service lacks the warmth and attentiveness it once had. I understand that individual patrons have the right to purchase any available seat, but in a dine-in , pod-style theater where people share tables and armrests, common courtesy should discourage buying directly next to a solo patron ,especially in an environment marketed as luxurious and intimate. iPic's failure to accommodate reasonable discomfort in such cases, combined with poor staff empathy, subpar food preparation, and inflexible policies, has left me questioning whether the premium price is still justified. After more than a decade of loyalty, this experience and others like it has been profoundly disappointing. Great first experience, loved how clean the place was. Used excavator to second floor and they have a lounge with a pool table to play, free of charge. The third floor had the theaters and assigned seats, they have another huge lounge and bar are to dine or drink before the show. There were plenty of employees assisting and available to answer questions. An employee led us to our seats only to find another person in our table. It took a few different employees to get more information and get the gentleman out of the seat, later to find out he did not have a ticket but ordered food and gin. Luckily we came early and sorted everything out before the movie. The seats were recline-able and very comfortable. The servers brought out our snacks and drink. After the movie they made a mistake and almost charged me for the chicken and gin the other patrol had ordered. The check was corrected and paid. Lastly we tried to validate our parking but later stated they only validate certain parking lots but not the closest one to them, which was a bit confusing. We pulled up to the Ipic Theater to catch Jurassic World: Rebirth and let me just say it was giving us "EPIC". I'm not just talking about the movie lol. This theater always sets the vibe. The entrance alone makes you feel like a VIP and the red-lit bar ambiance with smooth instrumentals had us feeling classy before the show even started. If you're into that intimate couples-only setup this is the spot! But fair warning: these seats are strictly boo'd up. The luxurious waiting lounge is the perfect place to sip and chill while your theater gets prepped. The bathrooms were clean and top tier (you know I'm big on that). The screens were crisp, but the sound didn't bang like I wanted so audiophiles might wanna look elsewhere for that boom. I ordered steak sliders (next time, give me hamburger meat lol), but the fries were fire and my drink was hitting. Popcorn? Light, buttery, and just right. This was a really disappointing experience, especially for what's supposed to be a premium theater. I purchased four tickets for two pods next to each other at iPic Pasadena. When we arrived, we were shocked to find that the back four seats weren't pods at all--they were standard seats located in the handicap aisle, which is something I absolutely would never have purchased. We later learned that they switched our auditorium without informing us. No notice, no warning, nothing. Did they think we wouldn't notice the difference between pods and regular seats? Or that we'd just be okay with it? To make matters worse, we were charged for a beer we never ordered, though I do want to acknowledge that the staff was friendly and did help reverse that charge, which I appreciate. As for the seating issue, I would have preferred a full refund for the tickets. However, we weren't going to walk out--it was Christmas, there are only two iPic locations in all of LA, we drove a long distance in the rain, and we were excited to experience the movie together. Some people in our group were also flying out the next day, so leaving really wasn't an option. They ended up offering two free tickets to return, which feels insufficient considering there were four of us and we weren't seated together as promised. Four tickets would have felt much more appropriate. Let this be a warning: they may change your auditorium without telling you, and you may not receive the seats you paid for. That's unacceptable for a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience. Overall, the staff did their best in the moment, but the lack of communication and bait-and-switch seating situation really ruined what should have been a special experience. Looks like a slowdown in staffing so things take longer . longer to respond to the button press when in the past the ninja was right there. The food. Garbage. Order nachos COLD. I mean fridge cold. 5/5 Experience at IPIC today and these are the reasons: - Stellar service by waitress and staff in the movie theater. The lady helping me at my seat was helpful, kind and actually explained how everything works (ordering, locating chair recliner controls). They provided clean blankets which were luscious. - The food was fresh and tasted great. I had a strawberry lemonade with battered fish & chips. - Most importantly, everything was clean in the bathroom, the recliner chairs and tables were not sticky at all. This was my first time visiting and I went to watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (10/10) . I arrived early because I knew parking would take time. I decided to park in front of the Cheesecake Factory since there was an opening. I'll be back for Joker! read more
