She shared interesting stories about the neighborhood and the restaurants, which made it feel more like exploring the area with a knowledgeable friend rather than a typical tour. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we even met some really nice new friends along the way. Our very first Six Taste tour was actually the Arts District tour back in 2016, so it was special to return ten years later and experience it again. Over the years we've also enjoyed their tours in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Thai Town, Koreatown, and Little Tokyo. Every tour has been a fun way to discover great food and learn more about the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

I really loved everyone in the class, and the studio was great and let us use the studio outside of class as well. I met a ton of the members during the weekends and everyone was chill and laid back, and soooo talented! Lots of great dogs in this studio as well. I have given away a lot of my pieces as gifts (I made 16 pieces in my 6 weeks!) and everyone has loved them. It's a great heartfelt gift for anyone. I would have continued with the classes but I missed out on the next level classes, and then I moved jobs so I wasn't working in downtown as much. But I would 100% recommend this studio to anyone interested in clay pottery!

It was very obvious that Chef Alex had conducted multiple corporate team building events as well as being a skilled/seasoned chef. We had 22 people for our team building event and there was plenty of space for us to each have our own cooking stations (teams of two) and there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labors after the cooking was completed. We prepared thai food for our event and, WOW, was it amazing. I mean (literally), this was the best thai food that I'd ever had and this is coming from someone who's wife says "you eat way too much thai food!" The very tasty food is a testament to how well run this place is because we are just a bunch of accountants but we also apparently have an inner self that knows how to cook thai food. Overall, this place is clean, fun, there is ample parking and I would highly recommend. If this place wasn't so far from me, I'd definitely go back on a date night with my wife.

Chef Alex was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly accommodating, especially with our very last-minute booking request (less than a week's notice). Throughout the entire event, he was patient, kind, and engaging with the boys. He took the time to guide them at each cooking station, clearly explaining what to do and then letting them take over and experience it hands-on. He created a really fun, relaxed environment where the kids felt confident and involved. We all trusted the process, and the food turned out fantastic--but even more than that, the boys had a blast doing it. It was the perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and fun. Wait for the unbiased reviews to trickle in before committing to their latest offerings, because if Brigadoon is the current standard, the bar hasn't just been lowered--it's been buried. Wednesday's opening night was, to put it bluntly, a stinker. We arrived with open minds and tempered expectations; we weren't looking for a Gene Kelly reincarnation or a Broadway-scale miracle. We understand the constraints of regional theater. However, what we witnessed was so profoundly lackluster that it felt less like a professional production and more like a mediocre college workshop. The "Highland" Lowlights: * Atrocious Casting: With the sole exception of Betsy Morgan--who possessed the only singing and dancing chops worthy of the material--the casting was a disaster. * Cultural Caricature: The premise of Brigadoon relies on a town preserved in time to protect its Scottish heritage. Why, then, was this cast like a generic Disney Channel original movie? The "Scottish" culture on display was a cringeworthy caricature reminiscent of a Mike Myers sketch. In a city like Los Angeles, home to thousands of versatile actors, is authenticity really that hard to find? * Anemic Energy: The choreography was limp, and the vocal performances were consistently weak. The sound system was so quiet it felt like a mercy killing; perhaps turning it up would have provided the "punch" the performers so desperately lacked. I cannot remember the last time I saw a professional audience flee after only a few scenes. We endured the first half, but left at intermission. It was simply that unbearable. While the Pasadena Playhouse relies on the generosity of donors to stay afloat, one has to wonder: is there any quality control left? Or is the current mode of operation simply to shovel substandard content at a captive audience? Thanks to Yelp experiences! The Playhouse also hosts a Mini Mozart concert before the show. It was a great, immersive experience. This is not my first time watching the shows performed by the talented artists. It's really a versatile team that for many times, I'm stunned by the artists' intelligence and impressive vocals. Amadeus is a show that fans will love it with widely entertaining effect and a touching story.

The seating layout is all wonky, the screen isn't centered, and the projector is positioned so that anyone walking down a certain aisle blocks the light. The Experience Profile: Comfort-wise, the theater was a pretty big letdown. The seats were kind of dirty and uncomfortable, and most of them had an annoying metal bar right in front of them. The atmosphere during the movie was also a mess, the crowd was talking most of the time and constantly walking in and out, which kept letting outside light into the room. The Verdict: While the $7 price tag is incredibly cheap, the janky setup, dirty seating, and constant distractions mean this won't be a regular spot for me. I would honestly rather spend a little extra money to go somewhere else where I can actually enjoy the movie.

The Odyssey was a very entertaining movie that I highly recommend and watching this summer blockbuster at Regal La Canada made for good first time experience there. It's more of an old school movie theater with quality customer service and tasty food. When we entered the small strip mall with the movie theater was the main focal point, I was a little confused because the signage on the building was United Artists (UA) theater not Regal theaters. If you've lived in California awhile, then you should be familiar with the UA brand movie theaters, which is why I had a sense of nostalgia seeing the UA moniker. UA was purchased by Regal, so this movie theater is part of the Regal movie theater chain specifically located in La Cañada Flintridge. There are a few other shops located in this strip mall, but the one I remember is North Shore Burgers. There is plenty of parking at this location and the traffic flow is one way as you enter the strip mall. We watched The Odyssey during matinee hours, so it wasn't that crowded, but I got the feel that this wasn't a busy movie theater. The staff here provided quality customer service and were friendly. I had ordered tickets the day before, but mistakenly purchased tickets for the wrong day. I left a message to request a refund and when I tried to call a second time, a manager answered while I was leaving a message and she promptly refunded my money providing quality service like her staff. Regal UA La Canada gives off an old school vibe. The movie theater definitely needs some modernizing with regards to their leather recliner chairs and the layout of their seats, but I actually liked the old school vibe. When your order popcorn, the staff asks if you want butter and they're the ones placing butter into your popcorn. I prefer self service, but they did a good job buttering my popcorn. The popcorn was fresh when I initially ordered and when I requested a refill. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and that too came out well made with the cheese melted and the crust crunchy. Their leather seats aren't the electronic recliners, but rather they're the pull out lever old school recliners. They worked fine and the leather seating was comfortable. Even the restrooms were old school, but they were clean. There were also some arcade games for the kids to occupy themselves while waiting or after watching a movie. While my two fave ladies spent quality time together, my son and I got to hang out and watched a Must See movie The Odyssey. We had a fun first time experience at Regal UA La Canada.

The recliners had a cup holder and were spaced far enough from the seats in front to give you plenty of room to walk by without interrupting the other patrons. The theatre and restrooms were clean and maintained. The concession stand serve standard moving theatre snacks & beverages - no gourmet food or cocktails. The seats were very relaxing and we enjoyed the movie. *Ample parking in the lot.

Some of that time was wasted by the ads. I get that the theater industry is struggling, but this location seems to be doing all they can to drive customers away instead of welcome them to a comfortable theater. I sincerely hope they fix their facilities and improve the customer experience. On the plus side, the bathrooms were very clean and the projection quality was good (hence 2 stars instead of 1).

A great show! I laughed, I cried, I lost 15 pounds! This show is gay. You know, like me. I laughed, I cried, I wept a little, then laughed again, then cried, then couldn't stop laughing until eventually I ate a pretzel and cried, like, twice. I cannot recommend this show highly enough. Corey Craig's Cool Beans Comedy Crew created a sense of what is possible, showcasing the most original artists of their generation - A brilliant fascinating show that makes you see the world in a different way, inspired in concept and execution, fit to be compared with the greats. I recently saw my third show of Cool Beans Comedy at The Ice House. I keep coming back for more, it is the best comedy show around in my opinion. Host Matthew Moore starts the show off with an abundance of energy and really gets the crowd pumped up. He continues the excitement in-between the comedians throughout the whole show too, raffling off prizes and heckling a few "lucky" people up front. Nothing insulting, just good, funny stuff! Every show is different with a variety of funny comedians, each one bringing their own flavor to the show. Of the shows I've seen, I think my personal favorites are Amir K, Drew Lynch (America's Got Talent) and Josh Adam Myers. Corey Craig is another very funny comedian who performs at every show, who is also the producer/creator of the show. Halfway through his bit he will usually bring up audience members who have birthdays in that month to have the crowd sing Happy Birthday and give them some goodies. The Ice House is also a restaurant so kids are welcome, and although the show is not for little ones there's usually nothing a mature high-schooler hasn't heard before. My wife and I brought our high-school age son one time and he had a blast. The show room is an intimate setting, every seat in the house is close to the stage. Like most comedy venues, there's a 2 drink minimum (average priced), but I got FREE tickets through the Cool Beans Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CoolBeansComedy/ so it is a relatively inexpensive night of live comedy. Cool Beans Comedy has been the BEST experience for my two children! Corey has been coaching my children for almost a year. When he told us about his Stand Up Comedy Showcase we were so excited. We worked on the program remotely and flew in for the Showcase! Corey is creative, fun, patient, supportive, and encouraging. He is gifted with empowering his students to find their voice, through the truth, and to be comfortable enough to share it. So many fabulous things have come out of participating in the program. Performing in front of a live crowd at the Ice House Comedy Club was such an energizing experience and amazing opportunity. I will start by saying that I live in Nebraska. I always plan my trips to Cali around the show so I can attend. Corey Craig produces one of the best shows, with some incredible talent! Every comedian adds their own touch of personality to the show. All the acts will make you jaw hurt from laughing so hard!! One thing I enjoy is how the show interacts with the crowd. They really make sure the crowd is enjoying themselves. I strongly recommend attending a show if you haven't. I guaruntee you will be a fan like so many others. I didn't expect much when I signed up for classes, thinking I might have to deal with snooty Hollywood people (LOL). To my surprise, the instructors were incredibly good, focused, encouraging and dedicated to get the best out of me. Especially, Corey is a compassionate, and talented human being and helped all students including me. He never let me feel being stupid (but I know I was. LOL) There was no way I would have done anything like this without his coaching and help. Anybody, even if you are not serious about getting into Comedy business like me, this class can be a healing process for your wounds as well as overcoming any unspoken frustration in fun way. Corey Martin Craig is one of those teachers that comes along once in a person's life. What he does can't really be learned, it's innate. I've seen him work and transform kids and adults alike in an incredibly supportive space. He guides the new and experienced comics work on their material and sharpen their tools with excellent feedback and the other great coaches he brings into class. I loved this show! The space is comfortable and each seat seemed to have a good view of the stage. Most of the comics were great and the host and the MC make the show so much fun with prizes and funny (but not mean, I hate that) jokes focused on people in the audience. There is a 2 drink minimum but drinks are reasonably priced and the selection is good. I didn't eat but I saw people with food, plates of nachos etc so you could eat dinner here as you enjoy the show. Ticket prices are reasonable too. We first found out about Cool Beans comedy through an event with Autism Speaks and had the pleasure of meeting Corey there. Since then our son has taken two classes with Corey and we couldn't be more delighted regarding the results. Our son loves it and has really found a new way to express himself! There's parking in the parking lot but also plenty of free street parking in front too. There are cubbies for your bags and phones. Bring your own hairties and come wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty. The instructor was super nice and very helpful in making sure we did everything ourselves so we could learn as much as possible. There's one restroom that's large and clean - there's even nice hand soap and lotion in the bathroom. We actually came in 20 minutes late because of traffic, but they were super nice about it.

I respond deeply to gestures of goodwill and trust from a business. This was the opposite. My interactions with a member of the leadership team left me feeling talked down to rather than respected. When I raised concerns about communication, the response was not to acknowledge the experience but to repeatedly defend and cite policy. The emails were unnecessarily long, defensive, unprofessional, and patronizing. My concerns and request for a middle ground were met with condescending rhetorical questions and comparisons that completely missed the point. Look beneath the glossy branding and the environment feels cold, transactional, and sterile. To me, that's not a place that fosters creativity. A business can have firm policies while still treating customers with generosity and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

But I wanted a jump start into it of a class in a group setting. I love love love that this place as a non-profit, offers free movement healing classes for TBI, stroke, Down syndrome, and Parkinson's. A class is $14, well worth it - seriously, take my money. A package deal is 70ish? And there's currently a Yelp $200 for $240 deal for the well committed. Their website is useful and informative as to their very accommodating schedule (another reason I decided to stop by here). You can park at a nearby garage structure for 90 minutes free and classes are an hour average so it works out perfectly. They are diagonally across from Panache Bridal next to a parking lot (not to be confused by a parking structure). I got here a bit late (15 minutes) but was welcomed warmly...some dance studios like this one in mid-Wilshire I used to go to for modern can get pretty serious about it (for a brief/awkward moment anyway). They were super chill the whole time. The instructor's energy is laid back, informative, open, encouraging and vibrant. Expressionism is healing. Give this place a shot. Will definitely make time to be back, occasionally, when the mood strikes again.

Fire Staff can be a challenging art to learn, but not once do they get frustrated with you. Their teaching style is patient, energetic, and efficient. In my experience with other teachers, many others are short-tempered and don't like to take the time to break things down, "Love in the Fire" is the exact opposite - giving you detailed guidance and reasonings behind why we spin the way we do. Initially taking the course because I felt I hit a road block in my "YouTube training," and after only a few classes with Samantha and Lester, everything just...clicked...and I have "Love in the Fire" to thank for that. I'm now progressing into intermediate moves - confident in my abilities. If you want to learn fire spinning in a positive, welcoming environment, "Love in the Fire" is the place to be.

I've purchased a staff and fire eating sticks from "Love in the Fire" and I'm overall extremely happy with the craftsmanship and how thought out the designs are. With my staff, I can tell it was designed by a person who really has a lot of experience performing with the tools, paying attention to the little things that make the experience with it more enjoyable and long lasting. I've let several people try out my tools and it usually leaves them considering them! Their class location is the perfect atmosphere, with a magical patio overlooking Eagle Rock. My overall favorite quality about "Love in the Fire" is that they always leave you inspired and feeling welcomed to the flow arts and fire dancing community.

She has been in almost every production in the four years since and LOVES it - it is the highlight of her week, both artistically and socially. I've seen other companies where they rehearse for 5 months and end up doing just a couple of performances; YSTA has the perfect ratio of a couple of months' worth of rehearsals and 6 performances for regular-season shows (camps are more compact). The kids are responsible for everything, not just acting! Our daughter has grown thanks to YSTA not only as a singer and performer but also in her confidence and independence. We love YSTA!!!

We were amazed at what Gloria and her team could do with these kids in that short amount of time (1 week) and the joy that they all show on stage. The warmth that Gloria gives these kids transcends down and the older kids are so kind to the younger ones. The older ones even come back to direct, costume design, and watch the shows. Our daughter has been in 8 shows at YSTA now - including camps and season shows. She always grows as a performer in every show with YSTA. YSTA is our daughter's happy place, and we couldn't be more grateful to have found such a wonderful community for our girl. She will continue to go to YSTA and continue to grow here as a performer. While I wasn't able to see their first season/start with a production of Hair in Summer of 2022, I have instantly become a fan during this 2023 kick-off with a brilliant performance of Cabaret. From start to finish the lighting, sound, quality, directing and amazing cast and equally amazing live band (to back them up the entire show as well as entertain the audience with their skill) was one show I shan't forget. Cruz St James regaling us all with a beautiful opening number and leading great numbers such as Two Ladies, Money and If You Could See Her really elevates the word outstanding. Emily Lopez as thee Sally Bowles was terrific and her performance of the ballad of all ballads was moving very unique. Michael Thomas Grant as Clifford Bradshaw, fun, and quirky. Ursula Gueringer (Fraulein Schneider) and Craig Wright (Heir Schultz) really moved me. The Kit Kat Gals and Guys were all great especially my friend who turned me onto this show Avery Bass who sailored, kicked, flipped, moved, and often had some great one-liners. It was really cool to see the entire cast moving set pieces in and out and working together in sync not just like performers, but like a family. Absolutely hope to support more productions down the line and make the journey to their mainstage at the local Altadena Amphitheater. Q Tip: They do offer concessions and it's reasonable-ish, $40 for a bottle of wine, $10 for a glass, $5 for most snacks and other refreshments. They also seem to be great at getting local vendors to pair up with them but it's TBD show to show. Outside food is permitted and non-alcoholic beverages.

I took a design and composition class and really do feel I was stretched but not uncomfortably so. The information my teacher provided was well commicated, easy to understand, and most importantly I was able to understand the underlying concepts of what I was learning and apply it to real world design problems. I really like how interactive and collabortative the environment feels. If you're looking for a creative outlet, ACN is a good option. They're expanding so maybe they will have more classes. The neat thing is that some of these courses can be used as credit towards your study if you're admitted into Art Center. Many people here use this as a springboard into Art Center.
