POTENTIAL ADOPTERS BEWARE!! I recently adopted my cat, Orion (formally Pirate at the Cafe), from…read moreToe Beans on May 25th, by the 27th he was hospitalized for diarrhea and vomiting. While there the vets found he had gastroenteritis, an ear infection and significant weight loss. Unnoticed by me at his adoption, he was improperly vaccinated and was not protected by the mandatory vaccinations all cats should have. After informing them of Orion's hospital stay and what happened, Toe Beans made the choice to tell me that the tests/diagnostics the vet did were unnecessary and that I should've just called them if I was having concerns about Orion's health. They are NOT a veterinary clinic. They also made the choice to assume the vets were incorrect about the improper vaccinations and tried to frame that as the vets trying to get more money out of me, I confirmed with 2 different vets that Orion was incorrectly vaccinated according to the records I received at his adoption and that he would need to be restarted on the vaccination schedule. Toe Beans attempted to gaslight me about what I was told at Orion's adoption, I was told he was quarantined for "mild sneezing" but was assured it would "pass in a few day" and that it was nothing to worry about by the employee assisting in his adoption. There was no mention of a suspected illness/infection or mentions of him having diarrhea at the adoption. There was no mention of any current ongoing medical treatment at his adoption, and I was not sent home with any type of medication for him. All I received was his ppaer work, a bag of dry food, a can of wet food, a blanket for his carrier, and assorted treats and toys. As evidenced by previous reviews ear infections are commonly missed at this facility and based on my experience they do not review medical records thoroughly enough before placing cats in a group environment. It has also come to my attention that upon receiving their cats they do not take them for any type of vet assessments as the only medical records I received were from when he was still in the Cayman Islands. They only take the cats to the vet when something is noticeably different, a risk when you don't know a cats personality as you don't know what changes to look for. Go with a reputable rescue or shelter that does regular vet visits when they receive their cats and are able to properly monitor their health. Toe Beans would rather pin all the blame on the new owner and the vets who worked to ensure the health and comfort of the cat than take accountability for their mistakes and actions. I was told on June 2nd that the rescue I adopted Orion through would reach out to me about my concerns regarding his hospitalization and the lack of care he received at Toe Beans, I have yet to be contacted by them. TLDR; Don't adopt from this cafe, they do not take care of their cats and will become extremely defensive and argumentative when confronted about this.

She got to pick the booth she wanted and there's even a chair for that picture perfect moment. There are unicorn onesies for adults but I didn't try it on. I did buy her a unicorn headband from the restaurant which we took turns wearing (I'm living out my dream too). They sell unicorn Fanny packs (which I wish I saw earlier-- we'll get matching ones next time), purses, popsicle molds, etc. We ordered: - rainbow grilled cheese (amazing length when pulling- mozzarella) - strawberry milkshake (plenty to share, cotton candy unicorn hair, cupcake to hold the marshmallow horn, marshmallow ears, etc). Adorable and she loved the taste. - crispy fries with a soft inside. It's like Costco fries but more crispy on the outside. It was a hit for us. Housemade ketchup or not your typical Heinz ketchup which I appreciated. - flying magic noodle (typical noodles but it had that wow factor for my niece. The noodles were tender which makes it easier for her to chew. My only suggestion is more noodles so there's more magic in the bowl as my kids don't often eat their veggies). - I did grab a banh mi takeout but it wasn't very authentic as expected. Just wanted to try my luck! In terms of how we order, we scan the QR code that's linked with our table. We look at the menu and choose our quantity/selections. Then they bring the food to your table. You pay at the end. Food came out in about 20 mins. Overall-- 10/10 "best day ever" from my adorable niece. The joy from her face made this visit priceless. I'd come again!!!!

We arranged to visit the cats as a treat and enjoyed a superb cup of coffee and lunch today. From the moment we stepped inside, we saw that the café has blended vintage style with modern comfort beautifully, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The cozy décor, soft ambiance, and carefully arranged seating make it easy to relax. Moreover, what makes this café especially unique is its thoughtfully designed, separate cat lounge; it offers a calm, enriching environment for its cats. We were able to completely unwind and appreciated their calming presence as we played with rod toys, introduced tube treats, and relaxed when they napped close to us. It was a happy and soothing experience. The Vintage Cat Café is an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or a cozy coffee break because the menu complements the relaxed atmosphere. We thought that the culinary offerings were impressive, from expertly crafted coffee to a tantalizing selection of homemade pastries and hearty lunchtime treats, and everything is prepared with care and quality in mind. We recommend the spicy chicken wraps, particularly for guests who appreciate food that combines flavour with a hint of heat; these were delicious. Beyond the décor, the cats, and the food, what truly sets this cafe apart is the welcoming, knowledgeable staff who are enthusiastic about exceptional service and animal welfare. We found that their dedication is evident in every interaction with their customers, and this contributes to an experience that feels genuine and heartfelt. The Vintage Cat Cafe is more than just a café; you leave feeling genuinely uplifted, and whether you stop by for the coffee, homemade treats, charming vintage ambiance, or the one-of-a-kind cat lounge, you will have an unforgettable experience. When we got there, we immediate were ushered to the back of the cafe where the cats were. We went at around 4-5pm and the staff told us that usually at this time the cats would be sleeping so we could not really play with them but just watch them sleep haha. Near the end of the hour, some of them did wake up and so we did get to spend some time with them. We wish we knew beforehand so we could get our money's worth. As for the cafe itself, it was beyond gorgeous. Everything was photogenic, even their washroom! I got the caramel macchiato and it was delicious and I like that it was included with the price of playing with the cats. Sad thing I realized was that I think I am mildly allergic to cats :( but highly recommend for cat lovers!!

Which is entirely understandable if not for the fact there were 3 employees just standing around talking with each other who I personally got the impression could care less. Furthermore I live 3 hours from here so it not like I could easily return. But I accept that it is my fault in that situation - next when I did send in my list of cards I was looking for asking for a quote. I was furthermore informed that they couldn't give me a price and I had to lookup the prices online for myself then make the decision. (A bit annoying but fair enough) only for the website they provided to be pricing cards above market value and would easily add a few hundred dollars extra to what I was looking for. I feel all this could have been avoided if it was easier to find information as to the rules of how things were ran. So I know what to expect prior to driving the 3 hours. All in all. I really want to like the place as it looks amazing and has a great selection but I can't help but leave a bad taste in my mouth.

While about 90% of their product line isn't my cup of tea, I would gladly recommend anyone I know who is into these sorts of things to this place.
