Sir, you called me a bullshitter and all but a liar. You sir owe me an apology. You don't know me…read morefrom Adam but thst is fine. Sir, I spent time in the US Air Force. My title and job was HYDRAULIC, PNEUMATIC, and ELECTRICAL mechanic. I was stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene and took great pride in being a specialist on the B1B BOMBER AND KC135A refueler. So when I brought my boat to you to check the STATOR, TRIGGER ASSEMBLY, AND POWER PACKS, I expected you to concentrate on those components. You however chose to disassemble all the electrical I painstakingly worked on. Leaving the wiring and everything else exposed. You told me that A) I wired the ingition switch incorrectly and furthermore stated it was the incorrect switch. B) The power and trim assembly operated according to manufacturer specs. However, you tech tried to tell me there was a short in the harness and it burned up the power trim motor. Rest assured Sir when I got the boat home I completely disassembled the wiring harness and checked for a short. RIGHT YOU ARE, I found none. I took the better part of two days (Friday and Saturday in the rain) and re wired the entire boat from stem to stern. I followed precise schematics and when it came to the ignition I contacted SeaDog directly in Washington State and conversed with their tech. Together, we insured accurate connection to the switch. The boat is now reassembled and all components are connected. However, I did pull the Stator and tested it. The stator failed. I then took the stator to a licensed and insured tech. His conclusions were the same. I also tested the trigger assembly and it was found to be within limits. THERE WAS A SHORT!! Not where you, said it was. While troubleshooting the Trigger assembly and power packs, I found that one of the blue wires from the STATOR was incorrectly connected and furthermore, someone had used an incorrect screw to secure the blue wire to the number obe power pack in so doing the screw was threaded into the plastic bus so hard it cracked the bus and made contact with the motor housing thus shorting out the stator. At this time I do not think either power pack is bad. I will know more when I attach the new $185.00 stator I ordered. I installed a new stator on Thursday. The boat started on first ignition. The two things I am most assuredly irate about is the fact that the power trim/tilt motor is now not functioning and has to be replaced. It was working fine when I delivered the boat to you. Secondly, instead of using a flywheel pulley you pried off the flywheel damaging the magnet. Without knowing who I am or my background has a mechanic with a particular study in this area, you elected to call me a bullshitter and a liar. You owe me a power trim motor/pump assembly , a undamaged flywheel, and an Apology.

Had my boat on consignment with Pat for three months, he told me in order to sell hit he would need…read moreto invest some time, and money to fix a few things to have boat ready to sell, I said ok that's fine no worries. So summer comes around, boat still hasn't sold. So my partner on the boat and I decided we wanted to pick the boat up and keep it. Pat seemed aggravated by this and told me he had all these customers in different states interested, but no commitment from anyone. I asked what it would take to pay him for everything and get the boat back. ($1,420.00) I paid that with no problem because I trusted him. Well I get home and the three speakers he installed for 375$ weren't even wired in and were 45$ speakers on amazon. I called Pat and told him the issue, which he thought he would resolve with cussing and yelling as well as hanging up on me three times. I decided to let this shady gentlemen keep the money and I'm moving on to avoid confrontation. Pat is a complete SCAMMER In my bill it clearly states the 300$ I paid for the storage fees. So there was nothing free about it . AND I told you everything about the boat and asked if you wanted to get in it and look it over with me in which you said no, it looks good from down here. I had no problem paying for repairs until I was ripped off. So I don't know where you get FREE And I never didn't want you to fix anything , I paid you 400$ to replace a vinyl strip... On top of that I cut my price 5 thousand dollars and you couldn't sell it. So don't say I was using you as a free storage facility .

We were devastated not only because of the boat but because of the deer. We took it to sail & ski and we can't not say enough positive praise for their attention to detail and outstanding customer service. They had contact with the insurance to make sure everything was covered. They kept us updated on all parts , advise on work and time frame of work to be completed. They even fixed minor defects from the manufacturer. The work is immaculate and perfection. Our boat looks so nice. Thank you so much Sail & ski. If you need to re-power an old boat with the best outboards on the market then contact Rodney…read moreNelson of San Marcos Marine at (512) 557-2469 1111 Arcadia Canyon Lake, TX 78133. Reason: I recently tried to re-power an old 14ft aluminum 1956 Arkansas Traveler runabout. I contacted numerous boat dealers around Austin, Texas. Although most of the dealers were very nice, all of them discouraged me from putting a new 40hp engine on the craft. Their reasons for declining my request varied. I came to understand that inner-city boat dealers, especially those not located on a lake, are really set up to sell new boats and have little interest in re-powering old boats. I decided to call one last dealer, Rodney Nelson of San Marcos Marine. Rodney's workshop is on Canyon Lake. I took my boat to Rodney. He was so positive and knowledgeable. He verified the boat was rated for 40hp, said he would strengthen the transom with a custom aluminum cap, put a 40hp Tohatsu 4-stroke motor on it (5 year warranty). The highly-rated engine is about half the weight of other four-stroke outboards and gas costs me about $5 for an entire day of fun on Lake Austin. It's very quiet, essentially no smoke, amazing. Rodney is an expert at working with aluminum boats. He built custom plates on the front for gauges, welded in plates to strengthen the transom, built aluminum mounts for the new modern throttle/tilt and trim/steering mechanisms etc. He also tested the boat on Canyon Lake numerous times to fine tune steering, maneuverability, and ride. The cost for all his work and customization were much less than the quotes I received from other dealers who just wanted to attach a 30hp motor on the existing transom. I'm glad I called Rodney because now my family has a boat that is both safe and fun for an incredibly low price! Ralph Beasley
