I haven't seen this place before. It's a cute, small shop across from the Florida Mall area. They have cute decorations and wall art. There was only one employee when I got there, but it wasn't busy. The employee was polite, and helped me with ordering. They have a pretty large menu for a boba shop. They also have smoothies, cream, bubble waffles and a few other treats. I got the Okinawa milk tea, a tea and brown sugar blend. It wasn't too sweet, which I appreciated. Hit had a nice caramel flavor, I would highly recommend it! Writing this while sitting in my car before a long drive. I do not have the employee name to make a complaint or single them out but I came on Monday evening the day I wrote this review. Disgruntled employee rushed me by saying no more orders at 7:45 pm... I came about 7:35 pm. There was a family there, but they left like 7:40 because she said that. I didn't even realize they had so many other drinks on the wall & to use my check in promo. I saw another customer drive up me at around 7:46 pm & she had already put everything away & chairs up! Whoa! I get businesses need to clean and close the register, but then change your business hours! If you don't want to be open until 8pm , then please close earlier. Felt bad for the lady who was probably thirsty & drove out of her way to this business. Doors were locked at 7:50 pm! I then saw 3 more customers come at 7:55 pm. They were locals that have been to this location before & mentioned she was rude to them last time! Yikes!! This location is near the Florida mall, so I'm sure they get decent traffic but sales are gonna be killed if they have an employee closing register early. I tried the Oreo milk tea which was a little on the watery side. I've never had tea from here before and like other tea shops they very in taste. It was still good and refreshing just not my favorite. I also got the egg custard in the tea and again not my favorite I don't think I'll get that again, I just didn't like the texture. I came to order original milk tea even though my friends told me their quality has gone down in the recent years ... I should have listened to my friends and not even bother come. The original milk tea was slimy and had a weird taste as if it went bad. I get it's a weekday and they're slow ... But the quality of the drinks shouldn't just go down the hill. I was in the mood for boba on our way back from running errands and we randomly picked the closest boba place to us. Although the location is kind of sketchy, the establishment itself is clean and very nicely decorated. The menus had everything from traditional boba teas to frappes, different Asian (Okinawan/Viet etc) coffees, smoothie choices, fruit teas and more. The server was friendly she explained what some of the specials were our first time, she was patient and had good knowledge of the menu which is a plus! The drinks were delicious and very nicely presented. We enjoyed them at the couch area our first visit then at the bar seating area our second visit. My daughters and I have been here a few times, they like to get a Boba Tea after a class we attend in the area. The shop is setup where the employee has to go behind a black curtain to make your drink. I don't quite understand this because the counter outside is cute and well appointed so I don't know why the drinks need to be made in "secret". Because of this, there is no one to greet you when you come into the shop when they are in the "back" concocting tea drinks. I asked to use the bathroom and the female employee walked me to the back. I asked her what her sweatshirt said and she said it said, "Satan is waiting". I have to admit I was literally taken aback. When I came out of the restroom my daughters Boba's had been prepared. I wanted to ask her, "What is he waiting for?", but she had disappeared back behind the black curtain. I felt I had to pray over them quickly just in case some satanic spells were put on them in the back black draped room. That being said, we will not be returning EVER. (I am not a religious fanatic, but I know I don't want Satan waiting FOR me or ON me.) My suggestions to you Elizabeth would be: 1. Have the employees wear company branded clothing when they are representing you and your company so that their personal religious beliefs can be exercised on their own time. 2. Prepare the food in eye shot of the customer. The kids/customers like to see how it's made. 3. Greet your customer when they walk into the store. As far as the tea goes, I've never had it. They have nice cool drawing on the walls and they also carry cool Chewy shirts, which resembles alot of the Star Wars themes. My daughter has been pestering me to take her for Boba so I relented because... thank God its not Starbucks. Not familiar too much with boba though there was something similar when I used to live in Hawaii called fruit bubble tea. The drinks were a little over 6$ for a very large cup. They allowed for multiple flavors. My daughter gives them an A for flavor- she got their signature dragon fruit lemonade . I gave mine a B+ because hers was really good and mine wasn't as good as hers (frozen mango tea w strawberry) but still good. The store was quiet and the manager came out and let my daughter and I try different flavors. She was incredibly friendly and super nice. Cleanliness was an A. Ambiance is hard to say as its a drink place. It would make for a nice day date. This time I got the coffee milk tea with nothing else. Seems like they are a pre-mix cause I was told that it was already 25% sweet and it would just be no sugar.
