We got the matcha milk tea with boba, mango milk tea with boba, pineapple green tea with boba and jelly, passion fruit and mango smoothie, and pineapple and mango smoothie. Thry all tasted fresh and delicious, but the passionfruit mango smoothie was a bit too sweet and I didn't taste much pineapple in the pineapple and mango smoothie. You can customize the sweetness level for whatever drink you order and there is a caveat to how the drinks taste based on whether the fruit is in season. Overall, we still enjoyed all of the drinks we ordered. Service was quick and friendly. The shop had a few tables and seats available if you want to hang out and chat. read more

Shaka Shaka has redeemed themselves in my book, and this positive update was a long time coming. I'm happy to see it because I really enjoy getting boba from this place. A major improvement in service is that the husband and wife have switched spots, so the wife works the cashier, and the husband makes the drinks. And I think this is a much better arrangement. The wife is so sweet and cute. She always smiles and waves at me when I come in the store. Her english is not the best, but she is still friendly and sweet when she speaks to customers. The drinks remain 10/10. The quality is very consistent. Shaka Shaka has probably the best boba pearls in Orlando. They boba is chewy and soft, but not too soft. I love the avocado taro smoothie, and most recently, I've been loving the black tea cappuccino. Finally, the price point is amazing!! While bobflation runs wild and all these other boba spots like Moge, RoyalTea, Tsaocaa have been raising their prices to almost $10 per drink, you can get 2 drinks at Shaka for less than that. 1 star off for the AC not working inside here. The place was warm for this summer weather! I guess they do this to sell more drinks? Who knows. Anyway this shop is in the publix plaza by walmart. I was told of this place by a co worker who loves boba drinks. She told me they use fresh fruit here instead of that powder stuff. Its a husband and wife working this place. The man is in the back making drinks and the woman is the front cashier. So the highest priced is an XL cup for about $5.50-$6 depending what you get. The fresh fruit smoothies are $5.50 tops. They use fresh fruit for those. I chose XL cup with boba (50 cents extra) and ordered the Cantaloupe milk smoothie. I like the fact they use real fruit here . This place is a better choice for boba than the one nearby the airport. I would def come back again but hopefully the AC is cranked up high! read more

Not sure why all the 4 1/2 stars etc...as someone who has had boba for 20+ years, I'm surprised Orlando doesn't really have it going on. While on vacay, I've searched high and low for a place near the airport. Some Starbucks people told me about a place called Crave, but I couldn't find it. There are so many tea shops around these days it's always hard finding one to try. There were so many nearby as we were driving around, but I decided for us to come here based on their high marks. I'm glad we went! It took awhile for me to decide what I wanted, and I had so many questions about the menu but the staff there was super friendly and patient! I asked if it was similar to Kung Fu Tea but they were quick to respond that all of their ingredients are fresh. They have seasonal fruits as well as unique toppings to choose from. I went with the guava drink with lychee jelly and it was one of the best drinks I've had!! Now I have to find a place back home that serves a similar drink because it's a new favorite. I can finally say (within 2 days of each visit) that I've been to both locations of Shaka Shaka. My first experience was pretty successful at the Golden Rod location. I got specifically tea, but my sister won't stop raving about the fruit tea/smoothies. This location is bigger than the Golden Rod store, with more seating and more space. Not sure which one came first. I ordered the Taro Milk Tea Smoothie with boba and real Taro chunks - definitely a delicious treat! I adjusted the sugar level slightly and it was just perfect for me! They use fresh Taro for their smoothies and real Taro chunks as a topping (for an additional cost). I would love for the option of a plastic lid (with a hole) versus the plastic wrap lid that most bubble tea shops have, in order to use my re-useable metal straw - Shaka Shaka is offering healthier boba options, would love to see them offer more environmental ones, too! They helped us navigate through the menu, even though I always order the Avocado Taro Smoothie. A large was slightly over $5, but with real, fresh ingredients, it is definitely worth the cost. Moreover, you can add on boba to your drink for free. Other places usually charge for any add ons, so this keeps Shaka Shaka around the same price range for a similar drink at a competing location. As always, the store was clean and relatively empty. It does take a little time for them to make your drink, so be prepared for a short wait. While their name has you believe they're a tea house, it's their fresh fruit smoothies that really shine for them. We've tried strawberry banana, coconut milk (oddly but not in a bad way tasted like butterscotch) watermelon, mango, and cantaloupe without the milk. They were kind enough to split the portion for our little ones into two cups. We also tried their pineapple line of drinks that were made with green tea. While the drinks were good, I hardly tasted any tea flavor. The menu was clear and easy to read. Prices ranged from $2.50-4ish depending on the size of your drink. There are teas and smoothies. I had a medium Taro Black Milk Tea and substituted it with Almond Milk. They also have soy milk. So glad they had a non-dairy option! Always surprises me when milk tea cafes don't offer that because of allergies and the numerous types of diets people have today. He asked if I wanted Taro chunks and boba. I tried both. Boba is good as usual. Taro chunks: I was not a fan of. They are grainy & have a bitter flavor. Inside, there are 3 small tables and chairs. Imagine a small cafe.
